That was one of Philogene's few good matches for Ipswich since he signed. Overall he has been absolute dross for them. He had an absolute nightmare against Derby the game before whereas Monga is yet to have a bad game for us. You cant just focus on the one game where Philogene scored a hattrick when comparing players, you have to look at all the games and the consistency of the players and on average Monga has been better than Philogene this season. If they were both the finished product I would have no reservations in picking Monga as the better player.

He has 1 goal 1 assist in 172 minutes this season. You cant really ask for better end product than he has already produced, he just hasnt played many minutes for us.

There's a substantial gap between bang average and prime Toure/Gerrard. -

Bit early to say we should make Carranza permanent, some nice linkup but he needs to also show he can score. -
What does he see in Jordan Ayew?

Should've done much better with his chance but a good first start for us. -
Vestergaard trying to lose us the game.
-
Midfield three of Winks, Soumare, Ayew providing 0 resistance, cant win the ball back.
-
Jeremy Monga being forced to link up with Jordan Ayew is criminal.
-
Get ayew off please
-
Should've scored that

It's a bit sickening that we have been leapfrogged in the football pyramid by the likes of middlesborough and Coventry. We just keep getting worse and worse every season and until we have a major clear out im not sure when it ends.

The fact that Coady has far more minutes for us than Nelson despite Coady being shocking at this level with Wrexham whilst Nelson looked comfortable with Oxford says all you need to know about the judgement of managers, dont put too much weight in to it.

We'll see in the post match thread. Im betting on him having one of his trademark blunders at some point and our fans coming back down to Earth on him. Faes not starting, getting hyped up, starting, then the fans getting sick of him, is like a clock cycle at this point.

There might be a break clause on relegation?

Evans receiving the ball at his feet in the box is almost always a goal, just wish we would try and do it more often -

Kevon Gray is always a step ahead of the play isnt he -
Monga shouldn't be the standard. Page is a very good prospect in his own right, it's unfair to compare him to one of the best talents in the country.

Now we have to reward that loyalty with an actual pathway to the first team. I remember all the noise last summer about how Will Alves was promoted to the first team then once he signed a new contract he was left out in the wilderness. Similarly Nelson has been left to rot.

Ex Players - They used to play for us

We've scored 6 of our 8 hattricks in the PL in the last decade. Vardy (3) Mahrez (1) Perez (1) Iheanacho (1). Before that only Collymore and Marshall had scored hattricks since 1992 in the top flight for us. So in terms of the top flight we've had our best decade for hat tricks in the last 30 years. In the championship we've had Fatawu, Chris Wood, Nugent, Yakubu, Gallagher, Howard and Conolly score hattricks. -

Wasn't sure from the way it looked like his head dropped and seemed surprised by the goal. -
The 4-1 loss to Forest was at the time a big game for them but we had many bigger games around that time. In hindsight though that game and result was significant, felt like it marked the end of our best ever era.
