Aye, the wording is as clear as mud. Can't imagine the Premier League ever having their rules worded in such a way that could be left open to interpretation, hey?!
-
Agreed, don't think we can afford to have a bomb squad though!
-
As I understand it, yes. Irrespective of whether we register him in the squad of 25, we can only have 2 loan players from other PL clubs. IIRC, we can have another 4 loan players from abroad, but we'd need to make space in the 25 - unless they're aged 21 or under, in which case they don't need registering.
-
What did Einstein say about doing the same things over and over again?!
-
I like your thinking, but there's only one man daft enough to pay a fee like that for him, and he's currently at the same club as McAteer.... In all honesty, would like to see McAteer come good for us as a home grown player, but realistically he's out of his depth.

Worst Refereeing Decision Made Against Us?
Incognito replied to Bert's topic in Leicester City Forum
This one still cheeses me off today. Peter Whittingham (RIP) moved the ball forward at least five yards, ref moved it back. Then when the ref turned round to walk into position, Whittingham moved it straight back forwards 5 yards and the officials just let him take it from there. Nevermind taking the free kick, he should have been booked. -
Odsonne Edouard joins on loan - Official

I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say you're not a fan of Rudkin?! Tbf I think you've summed concisely how the majority of us feel. -
The look that Rudders is giving Big Sam there... there's not been a look like that since I saw Brandi Love on film for the first time!
-
I don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but ex-BBC Radio Leicester commentator Neville Foulger sadly passed away yesterday. For a lot of us, Neville provided the voice for a lot of our highs and also a lot of our lows. RIP.

A timely reminder that we're all Leicester ain't we? No matter the circus above us, we back the lads win, lose or draw. At least he didn't mention Rudkin in the poem!!
-
I wonder if Rudkin was the one to pay Katie Price to pose nude with a turd on her stomach?! Just joking Jon 👍

Alan Rogers Alan Sheehan Danny Tiatto (great work ethic, but so one footed he used to dribble in a circle) Rufus Brevett (might be a bit harsh, was old and on loan with us) Joe Mattock Jamie Clapham (again, might be harsh as he was old) Ryan McGivern (I think probably the worst I've had the displeasure of watching!) Michael Ball (again, old & injury prone) Zoumana Bakayogo (only just better than McGivern) All worse than Luke Thomas, in my humble opinion.

Gutted by this news. A great coach, but more importantly a great man. Always had time for supporters. RIP Shakey

Agreed. The difference between him and his team mates on Tuesday was there for all to see. If he's not going to be around the first team squad, then he needs loaning out again - or dare I say it, selling. Personally, I'd have him around the first team. At least in the short term while we're still short of a few bodies. -
Bang on. A good example was Lukaku when he went to Man Utd. At Everton, he seemed leaner (if that's the right word) and thus more mobile. At Utd, he hit the gym hard, and that coupled with nobbing about with Paul Pogba, seemed to really hamper him. Of course, it wasn't just that, playing for a basketcase of a club didn't help either!

Popov no9? Not as au fait with the 23 team and below as I once was. Booth the kid that played a season in the Eredivisie last season? -

At the Barwell game. No idea of the XI tbh, Raikhy looks like he's wearing 6. Bobby Huth was helping them warm up. Seems to be helping out the coaching staff as a stand-in. Have it on good authority his role is still loans manager. Looks like Leroy Lita is wearing no.8 for Barwell, but I'd thought he'd left them. -
Agreed. As much as I do like JJ, I do think VK would create more space for Mavididi to run and create havoc simply by occupying an opposition defender with his overlapping runs.
-
Wouldn't be surprised. Just been on their website (to have a nosey at what the exact fee is after all the rumours - Portuguese clubs tend to release figures), and they've not even bothered to announce they've sold him yet!

I seem to recall George Thomas went out on loan to ADO Den Haag (under Alan Pardew no less). Probably a bit of a stretch including him since he had played 45 odd games for Coventry before we signed him - but he did then just sit in our development squad side for pretty much his entire tenure with us. Being extremely loose with "loaned out in Europe", Harry Panayiotou and Andy King were loaned out to Raith Rovers and Rangers, respectively, in Europe. Albeit, King was at the other end of his career! -
I would love Laurent Blanc to be honest, albeit would be a slight risk (as is any appointment) in that he's not managed over here before. His body of work with Bordeaux was remarkable, and he did well with PSG (I know that's not saying much but still have to manage all those egos). I like his style of football/ van Bronckhorst did well at first with Rangers, but after the Europa League final, it was a disaster. I do like the work he did with Feyenoord though, especially as financially they can't quite compete with Ajax and PSV. Lucien Favre is a good shout to be honest. Been linked with us before too. Steve Cooper is probably one of the more realistic ones, and we know he can manage in the Premier League. He will get supported here too rather than be worrying about being sacked by a megalomaniac of a chairman!
-
Absolutely love the bloke. I almost wish he didn't go on loan to WBA, with his character I think we could have done with him in the trenches for us during our relegation scrap. Probably wouldn't have made much difference ultimately, but the fact he puts the effort in when some players were clearly not giving everything (YT!) would have been enough to include him for me.

Who's making the ultimate stand?
Incognito replied to Bluetintedspecs's topic in Leicester City Forum
It might not be the kind of stand you meant, but seems Enzo has already taken one by calling out the hierarchy. He's come from Man City where everything is done uber profesionally. Everything is best of the best. Then he's come here, where we've got a glorified Academy director running all things football, and a board that don't tell him we can't sign players until it's almost too late. Enzo trying to get the club ran internally like a big club is a big positive for me.
