  1. Forrest lasted 60 mins longer than should have. I reckon Chelsea might be putting their supposed offer for Juranavic on the back burner.
  2. Should be a good game today. As per every Old firm game I'm hoping for loads of goals, sending offs, dodgy referee decisions and a punch up between the players. And ideally one of them to get hammered. 😁 I'm not bothered which one, but its always funny to see either set of fans be put in their place for a little while.
  3. The chairman has said he'll get a further 2 transfer windows. However, the fans are definitely turning and when the chairman begins to get stick there's only 1 outcome. Ross County up next.
  4. Aye, the defence has been a shambles all season. We'd been hoping they would have been working on it over the month long break. If anything it's got worse. Roos panics everytime a cross ball comes into the box and his nervousness spreads through the back 4. Goodwin brought in some lower league English players in the summer and not 1 of them has had a positive impact. Coulsen maybe. Miovski and Duk are good players but won't be with us for long. January fixtures look tough and a potential banana skin at Darvel away in the cup.
  5. Back home visiting parents for Christmas and visiting my local that I frequented from 1990 to 2000. Pints of Tennants still taste as good now as back then.
  6. I was at Pittodrie last night. Thought we'd done them but started defending far too deep with 20 mins to go. Fans beginning to question Goodwin after the non appearance v Celtic and going defensive once ahead last night. Rangers need serious re inforcements in Jan and Colak back ASAP. Absolutely freezing, but plenty of Tennants pre and post game.
  7. I'm from another nation. I see the keeper and back 4 as average, nothing special. Same for Rice and Phillips, but Bellingham is good. Saka / Foden / Grealish / Rashford have undoubted talent but are inconsistent against top international sides. Kane is a danger to any side but needs the service. The EPL hype machine doesnt help. There's a feeling from the outside looking in that the real "star players" in the EPL are not English but help bring out the best from the players above week in week out. Once they turn up for England they miss what the star players do for them (De Bruyne, Odegard, Harland, Van Dyjk, Erikson, etc). From my point of view, you miss a proper clever midfielder that can dictate the pace of a game from deep midfiel. Modric, Jorgihno, Thiago, Cassimiro. Unfortunately, they don't come around that often. Is anyone from the squad going to make Team of the Tournament? I can't think of anyone.
  8. Its a brilliant programme, probably made all the better because there's no old firm bias. Main presenters are Hearts, Raith Rovers Motherwell Hibs and Stenhousmuir fans. As you say, the short stories regarding all levels of the leagues are fantastic. The one about kids with learning difficulties coming together via football is heart warming. There's definitely a gap in the market for a similar programme about English football if the TV channels can take their focus off the EPL for 10 mins.
  9. He was at the Aberdeen game a few weeks ago. QPR had played Birmingham the night before. It was assumed he was looking at players for QPR to buy in January. Whoever takes over has a massive rebuild with not much money or playing assets to fund it.
  10. Depends on what you are after. Old fashioned city centre boozers: Admiral, Horseshoe, Rhoderick Dhu. Perhaps better if you have the Mrs to walk to the Merchant City. Plenty of bars and restaurants round the Bell St, Albion St area. Maggie Mays used to be lively Saturday T time including live music. If you aren't far from the Raven, my favourite restaurant is Chaakoo Bombay Cafe. To be honest, you can't go wrong in the city centre. Stay away from the usual chain pubs and you'll have a great time.
  11. My roots are in Harris, Tarbert. Spent my school summer holidays there from 79 to 89 working on the family croft. I bet its different now compared to then. Everything shut on a Sunday and everyone speaking Gaelic.
