  1. Kasper Hogh from Bodo Glimt. Good presence, calm finisher and really smart movement in the box. Captain at 24 suggests a good personality too. 7 goals in europa league shows he shouldn't struggle moving to a higher level than Norwegien Eliteserien. I'd be eyeing up his coach Kjetil Knutsen too.
  2. Hermansen Ricardo Coady Okoli Justin Skipp Ndidi McAteer. BEK. Mavididi Daka A lot of players i just never want to see play for us again.
  3. Lee Carsley? Backs youth, likes creative wingers, streetwise enough to know we'd need to strengthen defensively if promoted?
  4. Not often a club dominates league 1 like they have and doesn't do well in the championship. Plus there's not much known about their spending power next season. I don't expect them to be automatic hopefuls, but I didn't expect Ipswich to be last year. Similarly, can really see them being in the play offs.
  5. Agree with this, Sunderland are getting transfer windows consistently right. Have a good young base of a squad and have a good coach. I expect Ipswich win it relatively comfortably next year and for it to be between us, Saints, Sunderland and Birmingham for 2nd place. Presuming Top 3 go up as is, which is unlikely
  6. I'm at huge Poku fan, just don't see where he fits unless Monga goes and we look at Alves as more of a number 10? Doughty, defensively is nowhere near PL level, and I'd look to improve if we went up. But for a team dominating possession, his delivery could be a huge asset for us, similar to Leif Davis at Ipswich really.
  7. Could probably post one of these every week, but will try and keep it to a monthly thing. (New signings in bold) Goalkeepers - Stolarczyk, bring in an experienced backup. Sell Mads (if we get a decent offer, if not, he's first choice over Stol). Ward and Iversen get released. Full backs - New RB, Coulibaly, New LB, Thomas. Sell JJ and VK, allow Ricardo to go back to Portugal (should he wish). I'd go for Alfie Gilchrist as the new RB, with Alfie Doughty from a relegated Luton at LB. Centre backs - Nelson, New CB, Vestergaard, Souttar (Unless Coady has to stay) Okoli back to Italy, maybe a loan. Faes gets sold. Hopefully we can shift Coady too. Matthew Pollock at Watford would be my shout for new CB Centre midfielders - Winks, Skipp, Hamza, Braybrooke and one newbie. Sell Wilf and Bouba. Bring in Lennon Miller from Motherwell. Wingers - Fatawu, Mavididi, Alves, McAteer, Monga. Self-explanatory, hopefully Monga sticks with us. Shift out BDCR and Ayew by any means necessary. Attacking Midfielder - I think BEK heads out to Europe, but hopefully I'm wrong. If I'm right, it's the one position where I'm unsure on replacement. Centre Forward - 2x newbies and Jake Evans. Yes I know Evans is probably more of a winger but think both he and Lorenz Hutchinson could be good squad options next year at CF. Sell Daka, time for Vardy to try a final chapter elsewhere. Obvious new signing for me is Richard Kone at Wycombe, although I'm becoming increasingly unsure on him. My ambitions signing would be Kyogo Furuhashi who has not settled at all at Rennes, and whilst he's at an age where we wouldn't see resale value, he would easily bag 15-20 for us in the championship. Other potential signings could be Mathias Kvistgaarden or Josh Sargent. Potential starting 11 of: Stolarczyk Gilchrist Pollock Nelson Doughty Winks Miller Skipp Fatawu. Mavididi Kyogo
  8. "It was an excellent performance" It wasn't, it was still defensively poor, we just had to actually have a period of time where we were the better side. It was a close to average performance, it just shows how far we've dipped under that level since we played Brighton at home (Spurs away aside)
  9. Any info on where Aluko plays? Kind of player he is etc?
  10. Exactly this. Winks and Skipp would be the best central midfield pairing in the championship this season. Just need a competent coach and we should easily be top 3 or 4 next year
  11. Oh ffs. JJ at right back and Ricardo RW
  12. Hermansen Ricardo Coady Okoli Thomas Ndidi. Winks Buonanotte BEK. Mavididi Vardy It won't be this, but it's probably our best side right now. Monga on after an hour
  13. I've thought this, however, if he was placed on gardening leave pre relegation, and then we used a post relegation clause to release him from contract, could he then potentially take action to say we would have stayed up had he not been placed on gardening leave? Obviously, we will go down, but imagine it's far less of a legal headache if we wait for relegation before getting rid and just keep him in charge until then. I'm actually hoping we get relegated ASAP rather than it just hanging over us.
  14. Julien Stephan anyone?
  15. He'd be my number 1 choice, the more I think about it. Concerns about a lack of pragmatism for the PL, but think he'd set the right standards and demand things to change at Seagrave. Loves a youngster too which is probably number 1 on my list. No guarantees he'd take it at all, but if he did, he can rescue Kyogo from Rennes and bring him in too please
  16. Think there's a serious chance of us not getting much interest in our players. Some will easily sent to Europe, whether that be on loan or cheap deals, but can see us still being able to go into next season with Hermansen Ricardo Coady Vestegaard Justin Winks. Skipp Fatawu. Ayew. Mavididi Daka Have chosen that side to showcase the names that could still be at the club, rather than a preferred 11.
  17. Branthwaite at Everton maybe? But yes, it's the biggest issue for me too. I don't think Burnley fans had many issues with his style of football when they were getting promoted, scored plenty enough, and realistically, it's someone like Dyche who gives us best chance to stay in the PL for more than one season.
  18. Liam Manning from Bristol City anyone? Has inherited a group of "good eggs" from Nige, but they are doing fantastic this season to be in play off contention. Play some decent stuff at times with no real stars, seems to favour 3-4-3
  19. Rodgers was obviously the height of our sustained success (in terms of consistent finishes, Europe etc) But it doesn't happen without Pearson bringing the right characters in to give him an experienced base, Ranieri developing a rapid counter attacking side to scare any team we played and then Puel putting together a squad of quality that could then play the type of football needed for a top 6 team. My point being is that the journey starts again, we need good recruitment and a coach who can foster that environment, we need tactical diligence to allow us to stay in the PL should we return. We can't go straight from here to how we played under Rodgers, we have to follow the steps
  20. Could we tempt Will Still?
  21. 20 minutes in every match to the end of the season is a pretty perfect idea. Gets him game time, shows him we are serious about his development and surely boosts his price if he leaves too.
  22. Let him play golf at Seagrave until it suits his contract/psr to get rid. Brian Barry Murphy and Andy King until the end of the season
  23. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 we are hideous
  24. Glad to see the same team, lads are really on the cusp of something! In all seriousness, if Monga comes on ill have a slight level of excitement but I'm just not arsed...its got 3 or 4 nil loss written all over it again. If we were sleep walking to relegation in 22/23, this season we have popped our jammies on, made a horlicks and asked our Alexas to play whale sounds
