Would snap Hermansen up, as much as I don’t think Stol is as bad as some do on here. We at least seem to be trying to make some moves, but again, the pool we scout in is basically “players members of our staff have worked with before”. It’s very uninspiring and not serious

“Hi Enzo, great to catch up again, congrats on the world club cup win. I appreciate you’ve left Chelsea because you grew annoyed at the ownership and were kind of openly courting possibilities at Juventus and Man City, but do you fancy popping back and helping us fight relegation to league 1? Money to spend in January?…about as much chance as you had bringing Sensi in last time!….Enzo?…Enzo?”

It will be Martin, was always likely to be on our list and think he won’t mind the challenge of the points deduction, or even a potential league 1 rebuild next season.
-
Completely reminded me of the shambles that was us playing in a training kit during pre season.
-
No shock that Martin is being linked, we know the club like him. Honestly, he would probably get a pretty decent immediate reaction from the squad and we’d be pretty safe. Medium to long term though, I’m not a fan. A better option than Rowett though. I’ve said it before on here, but I’d like Tomasson or Carvalhal
-
I could get on board with Carsley, although maybe we pin a “plays young players” tag on him without reason just due to the nature of his current role. I think Will Still is a lowkey dark horse and decent idea, despite what most will view about his time at Southampton
-
I’d be happy with this, or Jon Dahl Tomasson
-
But the Thais are honourable people right? Shit way to do business. Marti has been poor, should be sacked. But the poor guy paid his own compo to come here and is now seeing all this without any confirmation. We have no class. we called her, but Susan Whelan would not have let this happen
-
Jon Dahl Tomasson Carlos Carvalhal Will Still Ralph Hassenhuttl In order of personal preference
-
Any replacement would be someone out of work, the list isn’t wholly attractive but still feel the following could get enough of an improvement to see us in the play offs (before points deduction) Jon Dahl Tomasson Will Still Ralph Hassenhuttl Carlos Carvalhal

Ward Faes Vestegaard Mills Bertrand Wise Junior Lewis Soumare Mattock Perez Akinbiyi

Has never had the pace to be a winger for me. Needs it in tight areas - will suit him

Usually I’d be coming alive in a thread like this, throwing out names left, right and centre…treating Scandinavian leagues like the menu of a chippy, sharing fbref profiles like an excitable grok user. honestly, I just can’t do it any more. We will do nothing other than a last minute free/loan centre forward, maybe a left back on similar terms.
-
It’s hilarious how bad we can play, and still not achieve the deserved result that gets Marti the sack. can kicked for another couple of weeks
-
I have no idea what the plan is…other than “some of our better players might do something” so disappointing
-
If we think the answer to a clearly obvious centre forward problem is a 35 year old who’s never been prolific and has his recent medical history, then we ….well we are Leicester City aren’t we, its footballing heritage at this point. He may well be better than Ayew, Carranza or Daka, but he isn’t a solution

After West Brom is the ideal time to make a change if the board is even considering it. Would give 12 days before next league game (granted Cov away not the easiest first match for the new man). Kingy can handle Cheltenham in the cup. a little bit of a moot point, as I don’t think we will get rid of Marti unless we drop into bottom 3
-
To summarise it, We have an ineffectual coach, coaching a poor squad (both attitude and technical ability), assembled by an awful recruitment team, led by owners/senior figures who have financially ruined us, to the point where we can’t correct either the coach or the playing squad. It’s a perpetual cycle of shit really isn’t it.
-
Will be interesting for Alves at Huddersfield now, as they’ve switched to a 5-3-2 since his injury. imagine he fits in as part of that 3 more than anywhere else but could end up being a spare part
-
I’ve probably been in the top 20% of Marti supporters, think he comes across as a thoroughly decent guy who really wanted to be here in the summer. he’s completely out of ideas though isn’t he, and I’m so surprised in how quickly that’s happened for him. Time to go, but I think he’s safe until we are in the drop zone and the board really panic
-
I’ll be shocked if we are even in a position to spend money again yet. Could see Carranza loan being cancelled and hope we’d be after Piroe from Leeds. Maybe a CM can come in if we can ship out Wout and Winks
-
Skipp, James and Nelson will get plenty of credit and rightly so, but I thought Luke Thomas was fantastic today. His best performance since he pocketed Salah. Brilliant deliveries in the first half and defensively didn’t put a foot wrong. all across the board, just the best performance we’ve seen in years, lots of fight, effort, moments of quality. That had to be the standard now. thought Marti got selection, tactics and substitutions absolutely spot on.
-
Said it for a good 12 months now, best centre back on our books by a country mile. Absolutely faultless today
-
Relatively low block, counter attack on the wings, midfield 3 of Winks, Ricardo and James - it’s probably the best we’ve got at the moment. Our issue with that is at full back
-
Great ties for both, selfishly gutted Nomads aren’t at home, but glad both got NL sides
