  1. Loving this Tom Odell set. Such a talented musician.
  2. Thanks for sharing that brought a smile to my face. Love the way he taps the chap on the back to say sorry as if he hasn't just broken the guy, then argues "I won the ball ref", and finally looks astonished that the ref has shown him red 😂. What a guy!
  3. Ordinarily Wednesday's are on Wednesday not Sunday 😂
  4. Great set of fixtures. Only really tricky patch is between start of November and mid December, but even that has games where if we struggled there's opportunities to break a losing run. Fully expecting a sizeable points deduction but I think we should be achieving promotion looking at those fixtures.
  5. Pro - Let's be honest we're an absolute mess right now and he's the right man for the task in hand. Proven success in achieving promotion, and proven ability to keep poor teams in the PL. Will it be pretty? Absolutely not, but we can address that downstream once we've got some stability. One thing about a Dyche team is that they always give 100%. We've got more than enough talent and depth to be one of the favourites next season. The question mark would be around application. Under Dyche we'll get that, as he won't carry any passengers.
  6. DT is a liability with no restraint. Just lost for words...
  7. Only played MKW and Fast Fusion so far, but must say what a great game Fast Fusion is. Absolute bargain. Looks great, so fast, and decent soundtrack. Brought back many memories of playing the early entries to the Wipeout series in the mid 90s.
  8. Have we officially appointed Dyche?!?
  9. Forget Ayew, no world beater but he offered something. Edouard is probably the most relevant here. How much was wasted on him?!? The board are clueless.
  10. I think the PL have opened a can of worms for themselves with their vendetta against us. Appreciate none of this should even be up for debate as the mismanagement of the club is beyond comprehension and we have to be asking ourselves how we really ended up in this situation. However, couple of things I think the PL will struggle with in pursuit of screwing us. 1) I'm not sure them changing the rules will allow the PL to retrospectively apply sanctions and I think the club would have legal grounds to keep appealing and challenging any decision. 2) The suggestion that we've been uncooperative is subjective so surely has no weight. The only charge I can see sticking is if we didn't submit the accounts as per the December deadline, but I have no idea whether we did or we didn't. If not, it would seem beyond stupid but then nothing at the club would surprise me. Where this whole situation gets really interesting is assuming the PL somehow manage to press ahead and nail us on all charges based on the tribunal, we would have grounds to raise a new case referencing their lack of action concerning both Man City and Everton in the seasons we finished 5th and 18th respectively. The tribunal clearly stated in their review of our case "Furthermore, a breach of the PSR may have an unfair impact on a relegated Club’s end of Season position in the PL and thus on the relative share of other relegated Clubs in the Merit Payments Fund." I see no reason why we could not contest this, particularly for the first season we were relegated as the lack of action against Everton that season directly led to us being relegated. Likewise the season we missed out on top 4 with charges filed against Man City. In either situation, action against either club potentially sees us in a far different predicament to the one we now find ourselves in. I'm not making excuses here for the club. We've been mismanaged beyond all comprehension and possibly could/would still have found ourselves where we are regardless. I find it ridiculous that we had a model in place that conformed with PSR and we chose to deviate and pursue something completely different. Brighton have demonstrated that you can navigate the regulations and still progress. It's not rocket science, just common sense.
  11. You just know that they were a personal gift from Rudkin too 🤮
  12. This whole situation with Top is bizarre. I never bought into the narrative he was ever a fan before the family bought the club and I think that is evident more than ever now. Therefore there's four other plausible scenarios as to why KP still have ownership; status/toy, investment, vessel for moving money around, he's the owner by default but has no real interest. In four of the five total scenarios, regardless of your motivation/s, surely it makes more sense to do everything possible to make the club successful. As a fan you'd want success. In terms of status I imagine the prestige associated with a PL club is far greater than that of an EFL club in pretentious social circles. From an investment perspective playing in the EFL massively reduces the value of your assets and income. Even if the club is intended as a vessel for moving money, then again surely the higher income generated by being a PL club means you're able to borrow more, skim off more, or hide more as there's more headroom to do so. Why he persists with the incompetence of the current administration is baffling and suggests that he genuinely has no interest. Again though, I find it odd that he'd retain the asset. If I had several hundred million pounds tied up in something I really had no interest in then I'd simply sell it, bag the cash, and go and do what I enjoy. You'd think a more successful club is a far more saleable and valuable asset than a failing club so surely you'd try and maximise the asset value in-order to sell. Also, why invest personal time travelling all the way from Thailand to attend games if you genuinely have no interest. All seems very odd.
  13. Yeah, know that feeling. My worry is the postie has figured out what it is and I'll receive a message later this evening saying 'There has been a problem with your delivery'.
  14. Same. Received email from RM that package to be delivered between 8 and 11am, now showing as 3-8pm 😔
  15. Thanks for sharing. It's incredible the speed at which Chinese scientific research and projects are progressing.
  16. Beat me to it. Literally word for word 😂
  17. Bagged two tickets for that exact event too. Couldn't resist as it's my birthday weekend that week so thought I'd treat myself. Like yourself, didn't fancy 2 days for the London event, though London certainly would have been easier to get to.
  18. Inevitable that he'd return, but I wish him all the very best. Technically outstanding and will go on to great things. Should have been one of the first names on the team sheet but RVN destroyed the lad. Clearly has things to work on, particularly his decision making but at his age that's to be expected and why Brighton sent him out on loan in the first place. Best wishes for the future Facundo!
  19. First and only time I've ever experienced time standstill. Unbelievable moment!
  20. Please don't. We need to sell the clown, not put people off.
  21. Agreed. They kept pace with both us and Leeds who were also expected to finish in the top 2 as sides that'd all been relegated. The outlier being that Ipswich had the season of their lives and gatecrashed the party. To add that they also beat Leeds three times over the course of the season, despite us losing both our games to Leeds. Where they struggled were against some of the lesser sides in the league, points dropped that we converted to wins.
  22. I'm struggling to understand all the hate. I'm in no way a Russell Martin fan but without doubt we'll absolutely be challenging for promotion next season if he is appointed. The gulf between the divisions is humongous. We might be rubbish at this level but the Championship is very poor both technically and tactically. No one in there right mind would have taken Scott Parker when we appointed Enzo, yet he's just breezed this league. There's far worse manager's out there than RM, and plenty who are unproven. I hear what the Saints fan is saying re: ignoring flair player's, but looking at our potential squad next season I don't think that will be possible as we'll have an abundance at that level in the forward positions next season. Let's at least try to give him some slack and not write him off the second he walks through the door. If he has genuinely gone away, reflected, and is willing to change he could be a good appointment.
  23. Is that another record gone?!? I'm sure I heard recently that our previous PL lowest points tally was 28.
  24. Hahaha. Not only did we derail their CL ambitions but KDH dives in to clear an almost unmissable chance in the last few seconds. If Carlsberg did bottlejobs this would be up there with Spurs 😂
  25. Don't tease that'd be comedy gold. To add, imagine if that team is Dundee United or Aberdeen. First time in Europe since the Internet was invented and you're only away trip involves travelling to Scotland 🤣. That said imagine the narrative they'd spin if they were to face Aberdeen, 'This is what European football should be about, European super giants facing off against each other. Don't see that in the CL' 🤣.
