  1. Definitely wasn't due to the Poznan, but agree that on reflection it probably wasn't the wisest idea given the height.
  2. I'm truly disgusted that the club is being used for such political propaganda purposes. What concerns me is the insights into the internal structures within the club. Rightly or wrongly Top naturally will be supportive of his homeland and whether any of us agree or disagree he is entitled to hold such views on a personal level. However, where is the corporate governance here? He may be the owner but surely there are policies, SOPs, and structures governing; a) any person within said organisation using the entity for channeling personal views, and b) any employee actually undertaking action related to directives from one individual which could bring the organisation into disrepute. Top may be the owner (and be deemed to hold the most senior position within the organisation), but across the many multinational organisations I've worked within, if ever the CEO instructed an individual to align the company with a political stance, someone would intervene and prevent it from happening, whether it be the legal team, corporate governance, another director, or even one of the many jobsworth types that every organisation has within their ranks. Let's be honest, Top hasn't jumped onto Photoshop himself, drafted these banners to be pixel perfect for both the scoreboard and advertising boards. Clearly this has been undertaken by someone on the payroll which suggests to me that there has been a serious failure in terms of our governance processes, or more worryingly those responsible for overseeing such governance have either intentionally turned a blind eye or been forced into doing so. Either way it is very concerning and makes you wonder where the moral boundaries are for the club.
  3. Saw the reports a little earlier. Absolutely devastated to hear this news. I didn't see or hear anything inside or outside the stadium indicating that an incident had occurred. What's odd is that my wife and I would normally exit straight after the encore but last night we were staying close to the stadium so decided to remain behind to let the crowds ease before departing. The stadium lights came on and we were sat looking around just chilling, people watching, and taking it all in. Didn't notice any commotion, stewards or emergency service personnel anywhere. Been looking on Reddit and a lot of people who were there also appear to be saying the same, even a person who was in the block within which the person fell into hadn't noticed despite stewards directing them out through a different exit. I must say, learning of this tragic incident has really saddened me and taken the edge off what was an amazing concert. To think that the person went to experience an amazing night out and sadly won't be seeing their loved ones, family, or friends again. How that has happened in this day and age is truly shocking.
  4. Looks like a shop window team to me. That or these are the player's who need to stake a place in the trimmed squad. Hopefully last chance saloon before we get down to business.
  5. Was at Wembley last night. Wow!!! Unbelievable performance. Oasis at their absolute peak. By their own admission they can be 'hit and miss' depending on what mood they are in, but I feel very privileged to have seen that performance and it was one of the best performances I've ever seen live (and I've seen a lot of top artists). Only negative was that it had to end. Could have easily gone on for longer such is their back catalogue. Shout out to Richard Ashcroft too who was also very good. Reflecting on the concert this morning, I feel both sad and happy. Sad that it had to end and will only live on as a memory in my mind, but happy that I was blessed with the opportunity to see such a remarkable performance.
  6. Kasey rocking the Gary Taylor-Fletcher look 😂
  7. I see Rodgers is up to his usual tricks upon embarking on his 3rd season with Celtic (again). I wonder how their fans are feeling about him.
  8. I know he's someway off, but Souttar we be like a new signing when he eventually returns. A close friend is a Sheff Utd season ticket holder who travels home and away and said Souttar was exceptional for them. Heard the same from a Stoke supporting family member prior to us signing him. Jury is out on whether he is PL standard, but there's no denying he's a top class Championship defender.
  9. The funniest thing about this is that there will be Wrexham fans sat at home super excited to have a defensive unit containing Ward and Coady
  10. Will be sad to see him go. Very decent keeper, and only happy with this if we get a good fee, as he has a lot of potential. That said, we have a ready made replacement, and truth be told whilst MH probably distributes the ball better, I actually prefer Jakub as a keeper. Jakub is in my opinion is definitely a better shot stopper and seems to command his box better. Hope we get a decent fee, and wish him well.
  11. Let's all forget about that release clause. There's a cat in hell's chance that a) the fax machine boots up in time, or b) JR completes the paperwork. 15 day's!!! More chance of spotting Elvis Presley hosting a sell out concert to a bunch of aliens on Mars.
  12. I imagine this will be perceived by the club to be the response to the Foxes Trusts request for an update on progress.
  13. Leicester City Pubcast isn't a bad listen. Personally don't like LTID but others may feel differently.
  14. Gutted to see the state of your club currently. Always had a soft spot for Wednesday. As a former winger I grew up inspired by Waddle, both for club and country. Around the same period in the early 90s you also had other iconic players such as prime time Pressman, Palmer, Pearson, Warhurst, Hirst, Bart-Williams, Sheridan, etc. Whilst the only success of note was a league cup, you were a joy to watch. I also fell in love with Hillsborough on my first visit at our League Cup replay win against Boro. To this day I've never experienced a ground as loud as Hillsborough. The acoustics are phenomenal when there's a full house. I also hugely respect the fact you travel in good numbers. Cannot quite comprehend what Chansiri is doing. Such a shame he is able to treat your club that way. I wish you and your fellow supporters all the best for the coming season. It'll be incredibly difficult but I hope you can find a way to survive, and Chansiri eventually comes to his senses. Best of luck for the future.
  15. Could we not sell tickets to Wednesday fans with ID as proof of address? Seems scandalous that they are being held hostage by their owner. Surely we as a club can do more to support them in the spirit of the game/sport.
  16. Lovely cross. Absolute class!
  17. Agree, technically they are very strong. I genuinely think they'd give most teams in the upper tiers of the men's game a run for their money. Excellently coached.
  18. Terrible defending by Bronze, caught ball watching. Has looked off the pace throughout the whole tournament. Goes to show though that you have to take your chances at the very highest level. England have had at least 3 very good ones which they've squandered. Spain have their first real chance and make England pay.
  19. I swear I designed that same kit on PES 2016 on the xbox kit editor 😂
  20. Thanks for the response. I understand, but aside from the action point regarding having someone appointed to the sanctions committee it's yet another set of action points before there has even been progress with the original points. Effectively the Trust have now issued 8 action points to the club. From experience of working in/with large organisations with significant resources at their disposal (I'd classify LCFC as mid sized without access to such resource), the Trust need to simplify the process and outline a maximum of 3 high priority points that are attainable within a realistic time frame. That's not to say that the Trust can't have more than 3 objectives, of course they can. They just need to be managed effectively to not overwhelm the club. As progress is made, credibility and trust will strengthen between the two parties which will in turn lead to greater receptiveness to change. For instance, points 1 and 2 on the latest statement should have come before the action points outlined on the original statement post survey results. I'd also argue point 4 on the latest statement is a little premature given points 1 and 2. Asking the club to provide a comprehensive update on the changes made post survey when there are further calls for fan consultation and the deadline set for the update is less than 6 weeks after meeting with the club seems unrealistic. We know the club aren't particularly well organised at the best of times so I'm not really sure what is expected. Surely the best approach should have been to call for consultation with the club's fans groups first, gathered their consensus, and then issued the expected action points. I'm not trying to defend the club here, far from it, just trying to encourage a little more thought in terms of project managing this to enable the Trust to achieve it's objectives.
  21. Ok, you're clearly trolling as you have failed to answer any of the questions posed then simply respond with the exact same line of questioning I put to you despite me trying to understand your perspective. Not really a very mature way to approach a debate but on this occasion I'll entertain your thoughts for a moment although please keep them factual and stop assuming. We all know the old saying in reference to assumption. Firstly, I'm not accusing them of anything. We have for a number of years failed to comply with PSR. That is fact; not conjecture, opinion, or accusation, and evidenced by the fact that there are currently charges issued against the club. Ultimately despite the rules, there are other clubs out there that are finding ways to operate within the confines and not needing to go to the same lengths as us. With regards to the sponsorship situation, if the club was run sustainably from the outset then there would be no need to go down the same route as last season. The latter is a consequence of the former. Let's also not forget that a senior director is on record for saying that due diligence was performed on the last sponsor only to see said sponsor go bankrupt within less than 1 year of partnership, and a prominent body within the UK highlighting that said partner was operating outside of UK rules which if not rectified could result in custodial sentences for the directors of the club overseeing such promotional activity. Clearly any due diligence carried out was not particularly thorough in terms of risk management. If the rumours of the new sponsor prove correct (and aren't changed at the last minute) then to follow the same path again is total madness and just screams of desperation. Also, for a club that supposedly prides itself on being a 'family club', to have a sponsor that means some first team players cannot wear the same shirt as their peers, and kids are unable to wear exact replicas of their idols, isn't suggestive of strong family principles and strongly undermines the narrative. That's before we even consider players potentially wearing apparel advertising activities that directly contravene their faith/beliefs, or supporters that have struggled with gambling addiction. If you're comfortable with the way the club is operating, that's your perogative and you're entitled to your opinion. For me, unless the club can guarantee the revenue streams I outlined previously, it's an unsustainable way to run a business and eventually one way or another it's unlikely to end well.
  22. Having read all of the above, I wouldn't necessarily assume that just because the club were asking seemingly ill informed questions about the survey results, that they hadn't taken time to review them or are simply stupid. From the FT statement it sounds like the club are simply asking questions to buy themselves time. The longer they can string this out the easier it is to manage. By pleading ignorance and asking for time to digest they are diluting the Trusts messaging and subsequent impact of the results. I completed the survey though I'm not a member of the Trust. I think clearly the newer members who have joined the Trusts committee have both the right intentions and have added some much needed energy in trying to oversee change. One thing I would like to highlight however is regarding the action points. I noticed in the latest statement that they have changed from the original ones outlined when the survey results were published. I felt that the original points were both ambitious and wrongly worded (personal opinion of course and not being a member I have no right to tell anyone what they should or shouldn't do), but regardless I think it's very important that the Trust stick to a plan focus on their primary objectives. Whilst I appreciate it's a dynamic situation, introducing secondary objectives at this stage most likely won't help the cause. Despite the above, it's nice to see the club being challenged for once. Whether that will lead to change, time will tell, but at least someone is trying and I applaud the efforts of the Trust and hope to join soon.
  23. No chance we get €13m let alone £s. If Besiktas are the buyers then they will probably offer 50p in installments over 5 years.
  24. Needs to be along the lines of £28m upfront, or £35m loan with obligation buy. Knowing Rudders it will be £5m loan fee, with an option to buy at £15m in a years time.
  25. Who has suggested I'd like to fall out with fellow fans?!? Also, what has given you the impression I think I'm superior, or is that just a generalised assumption? I'm far from feeling that way towards anyone. My concern is simply that the owners are now using the club as a vehicle to amass debt to either pay off other existing debts or servicing the day to day running of the club which is the result of complete incompetence and mismanagement. Either way you cut it they are ultimately responsible. The ownership in my view has become detached from the fan base. That's my opinion of course, and you and others are entitled to have your own thoughts on this. However, if the news regarding this season's sponsor proves to be correct, it's a big two finger salute to the fan base if the Foxes Trust recent survey represents the viewpoint of the vast majority of the fans. In fact it's borderline provacation given the timing. Out of interest do you think the club is being managed well? Also, are you comfortable with the board accumulating such high levels of debt against future earnings given that repayment of such debt is wholly dependent on either a) being a mainstay in the PL, or b) being in position to sell playing assets at significant profitability? I'm genuinely curious to understand your point of view.
