  1. I hope that thrashing that know is in this side is finally handed out today. Couldn't think of a better opponent to hand it to given their antics.
  2. Lennon's Ginger Ale. Quite thick, very effective, and widely regarded as a fan favourite.
  3. Anyone else immediately think of Rodgers when they mentioned Leicester City and dawrf?
  4. We have. The lads brilliant at putting out the cones
  5. First game I've seen Wigan play this season but I thought Aarsgaard looked pretty decent. Could probably do with working a bit harder when the team are out of possession but technically looked good.
  6. We know that, but don't underestimate how poorly Foderingham is considered by them. Was talking with a mate who follows the Blades home and away last week. Asked him if they'd improved under Wilder and he said massively. I then followed up by asking if he thought they could stay up... he paused, laughed, and said not with Foderingham in goal. He reckons he's an absolute calamity and has cost them loads of points this season so I wouldn't be surprised if Wilder has made an enquiry. Whether it'll come to anything is a different matter.
  7. I've been a big advocate of Kel during his time here, but it's very apparent he doesn't fit this system. I think the contract situation isn't helping either but as things stand he's offering very little.
  8. Need to be more clinical. Had enough chances in that first half to have been out of sight. Not the best game for Ricardo and he should have been pulled for Hamza as soon as he picked up the yellow. Disappointed with the subs tonight particularly the last one as it should have been 3 players in order to inject more energy in the closing stages as Ipswich are a very hard working side and used their full quota so were always likely to maintain their intensity. Really disappointed so far this season with Casadei. Not sure he'll make it in English football. Looks OK technically but seems to really lack the fundamentals to push on. Could see him looking decent in a slower less physically demanding league.
  9. @Ric Flair Any chance you boys can get Raz on the pod as a special guest?!? Would love to hear his take on the Jake situation from the other week 😂
  10. Made that much much harder than it needed go be.
  11. One of our best performances. We're cutting them open at will and look like we could score everytime we go forward. Finishing could be a bit better but this is a very good performance.
  12. Just looked it up and aside from Ipswich at home all of the others are winnable games without those selected for Afcon. Also, I can only see Kel and N'didi potentially going deep into the tournament so the others shouldn't miss the full month.
  13. That's very harsh, if you watch it back their player is yanking his shirt which prevents him from jumping. You can clearly see half his torso is exposed, and the pull causes him to jump at an angle rather than upright. If you want to be critical you could maybe suggest he should have reacted quicker to the loose ball but you could argue the same for both Mads and Faes.
  14. Many thanks FoyleFox
  15. North Leicestershire, Loughborough area.
  16. Anyone able to recommend a good tiler in the Leicestershire area?
  17. Firstly, what an amazing season you guy's are having and I wish you all the very best for the rest of the season ahead. You're a likeable club and if we are to go up I'd be very happy to see you guy's join us ahead of Leeds. Re: the squad, I don't think the criticisms are necessarily around the size of the squad per se, more the quality in comparison to the relegated teams. Having been down here in this league many times most recognise how difficult it is to claw your way out as the schedule is very heavy. I think the point being made is rather that when any of us, Leeds, or Southampton have an injury or suspension the replacement typically is a full international player from one of the better international teams. Effectively any of the relegated sides could consistently play their second string and all would still be there or thereabouts come the end of the season. Please take it as a compliment that you are where you are given the circumstances. McKenna has done a wonderful job and you have a very talented team who all work for one another. I just think the perception from the outside looking in is that should you have 3 injuries to key players at any one time you don't necessarily have the same standard of player who can come in and keep the wheels turning in the same way that say Leeds could draft in Gnonto if Summerville got injured for example. Good luck for the rest of the season.
  18. Need to remind ourselves that Leeds and Ipswich play each other in a few weeks. One or both will drop points so as long as we pick up a win we'll open up a gap on one of them. I have a feeling the gap will widen anyway over the coming weeks. I'd be astonished if all 3 teams are able to maintain current form over the busy festive schedule, something has to give.
  19. Was at the back myself. Didn't mock the chant but it really was rancid and should have ended after the first rendition. Really hope that never gets an airing again, we can do far better.
  20. I'm not convinced by him and think he has a swagger about him above his current ability, however to be fair to him today I thought Cannon did him no favours on that first dribble. Casadei seemed to carry the ball and draw in the defender, I think he was expecting Cannon to peel off his defender and run into the space vacated by the defender who stepped out to challenge for the ball so that he could slide it through. However Cannon turned the other way and ran straight into a congested area which meant the pass wasn't on. Consequently with no passing options he had to go alone but having waited a split second for the Cannon run which never came it effectively meant the defender was able to close the gap and limit the space to work in.
  21. Thought Mavididi was awesome today, easily his best performance for us. Got lucky with the execution of his penalty but his second goal was on another level, Mahrez-esque the way he stopped, shifted the ball, stopped again, then dropped the shoulder before hitting the back of the net. With a bit of confidence and self belief he could go on to be an absolute baller for us. Talking of confidence what is it with our wingers? Both Mavididi and Fatawu seem hesitant to pull the trigger. I love Fatawu but I was absolutely livid he chose to square the ball first half instead of taking the shot (for the missed sitter) particularly as I can't think of a better position any left footer would want to be in to score. I was similarly annoyed that he squared the ball for the Daka goal as daft as it sounds as I'm certain he'd have scored had he took the shot himself. Just frustrates me that we have two exceptionally talented wingers who could each easily chalk up double figure goal returns if they believed in their own ability a bit more.
  22. The number of people that left early today was genuinely embarrassing. Not that I expect those leaving to understand, but anyone else think it's poor etiquette and rather rude? I very much go to support the team, and see it as a sport. It's not entertainment and I don't expect it to be. Anyone who's played the game competitively knows it's not PlayStation. There's an opponent trying their level best to stop you. It can be ugly at times but you're there to pick up as many points as you can. I've watched some absolute dross in the past but always got behind the lads that represent my local area. Win, lose or draw, all I ask is that they try their hardest to do their best. What I struggle to understand is that I hear people saying it's hard to get up for games and create noise as the style of play isn't very exciting which makes me believe that there's a sizeable number that see football as an entertainment business. However in my experience of attending entertainment venues whether they be cinema, concert halls, theatre, etc. I can't ever recall seeing 25-30% of the audience get up and leave 10 minutes before the end no matter how bad the performance. Quite frankly I don't think the venue would tolerate such behaviour, so I'm at odds as to why anyone thinks this is acceptable at the football.
  23. That Ipswich game is a shocker. Had a mate at work who's an Ipswich fan who had said to his young lad at the start of the season that he'd take him to his first away game this season. He asked him to pick which game he'd like to go to and he said Leicester. Poor kid has had a torrid year as his mum was very poorly for most of it and would have been really looking forward to it, but that fixture change will have ended any hope he has as there's no way his dad's dragging him all the way up here from Ipswich on a school night. Whoever does the scheduling at Sky is a complete moron. Absolutely no consideration whatsoever for the match going away fans. Too busy trying to appease their army of armchair supporters paying a pittance (on a game by game basis and by comparison to the match going fan) who only tune in because there's no PL footy on.
  24. I'm guessing he's taking a proactive stance to try and lessen the sanctions that will come Man City's way. He clearly has no place to publicly comment on this but as always with him everything becomes a big PR stunt.
  25. Congratulations, I hope you enjoy watching your new TV as much as I enjoy watching mine. I don't think you'll be disappointed, it's an excellent display. Enjoy!
