  1. Oh and just to add, I've had several decades to work through this problem in my own mind!
  2. I can tell you my thoughts, as can others. But I suspect this is one you have to work out for yourself. Personally I can breathe freely because (1) Putin/Russia are a paper tiger - basically bankrupt - and any nuclear strike against the West would ensure their annihilation (2) other nuclear players can't hit the West and won't strike their neighbours (3) other issues have a MUCH greater probability of a disastrous outcome*. In a risk assessment context, nuclear war has the highest possible severity, but I reckon the likelihood remains very low (4) It'd be over before we get chance to worry (5) It'd save me from dark thoughts about the City! (*The global and local rise of the fash worries me more, as does the medium to long-term impact of climate change. To my mind social cohesion is the most pressing problem. Some *vile* actors are trying to pull us all apart.)
  3. Yes, also the leadership. Imagine what Nige and crew could have done with the facility
  4. Out of absolute respect to Nige, why not?! P.s. Please don't reply with guff about Ranieri's tactical changes. We know!!! P.p.s. If you feel the urge to disrespect Nige you are a bell!
  5. Either that or get digging your shelter haha
  6. You have been concerned about this for some time, and I sincerely hope you're wrong. But there is really no point worrying about it. Be careful not to overthink or over-read on this one: I reckon it could be a right old rabbit hole
  7. Love Martin, but this is a thread for Nige
  8. In the pantheon of Leicester legends, Nige is right at the top. Happy birthday Nige
  9. Now I think about it, why do flag feature so widely in those hotel 'protests'? Seems like a logical disconnect... unless there is an ulterior motive at play?!
  10. Surely Rudkin's going to be the scapegoat for whatever kicks off after the transfer window closes? Draw the heat off of Top? (Posted as much in hope as expectation.)
  11. I'd personally *far* rather go all in on our young players, rather than invest another penny on overpaid journeymen
  12. So you're an unhappy clapper then? (Sorry!)
  13. Hope this is the case tbqh. It's always been a natural evolution: free up tickets for younger, more passionate fans. No problem with oldies going btw, I'm no spring chicken myself!
  14. Ironic isn't it, given the only backing they give the lads is a round of applause at the end
  15. OP: thanks for reminding me that Bobby exists :-(
  16. Come on Jon, hand your letter in. Retired life will be so much happier for you. You've earned it.
  17. OK, guess I was wrong that people don't dislike the Ginettas!! I just see them as a (moth eaten!) part of the furniture, and find the pomposity amusing!
  18. Can't speak for everyone, but I've never "hated" Cliff et al, far from it. I don't think many people really dislike them. If I was to pick one word to summarise my feelings for them, it'd be "bemused"!
  19. Oh Lord, we're being lectured by dotards again
  20. 🤮
  21. Oh and Yak was mega lazy, but exceptionally good at the most important bit of the game
  22. Now this is a good challenge. Have we had a player lazier than Soumare, or Beckford for that matter. Hard... maybe Gareth Williams (urgh) would run them close. (Metaphorically obviously, as he never ran)
  23. He's wonderful. Every club will want him. That's life. Hope KP don't screw up with contracts etc, allowing him to leave for pennies
  24. True of some fans, less of others. Early leavers*, happy clappers and the mute disengaged are turning out, but are offering nothing by way of real support (*Yeah yeah circumstances)
