  1. Meanwhile, why has everyone stopped banging on about immigrants crossing the channel?
  2. Poor judgement to appoint Mandelson. Nobody will argue with that (despite widespread praise for the decision at the time.) Lots of frothing anger on this thread about "lying" and suchlike, but I'm seeing the square root of no evidence of that at all. It seems like entrenched anti-Labour and/or anti-Starmer folks getting excited about nothing at all. Confirmation bias. RW (and hard LW!) echo chamber stuff. Starmer won't make it to the next election, but this won't be the reason!
  3. Dunno. Wouldn't have changed the outcome. Is it better that we're even more financially f****d, i.e. closer to shaking off KP fleas? Time will tell
  4. Spiralling by the time Vichai died. Naive to think otherwise. Truth be told we've had one exceptional manager in living memory (Nige), a lucky general (Claudio) and only one other manager who led us with any integrity or competency (Puel). Everyone else wants nuking
  5. World class Folly
  6. Winks is a dick but a symptom, and not the cause
  7. Reckon relegation will mean more to these c***s than any protest we can muster, but apart from that anything ought to be on the table
  8. OnlyOneCity. Keeps telling everyone what a loyal supporter they are
  9. And moving on from Leicester, here's another thing to understand. Besides the basket case clubs who may or may not receive fresh investment, we're also competing with *well-run* clubs who have financial headroom to continue to improve. That's Lincoln's story: incremental improvement each season. By comparison... we are not in a great place on every level imaginable
  10. Just think we need to understand that our situation is spectacularly, exceptionally, unprecedentedly f*****d. We have the worst financial position in history, and the worst owners in history are expected to deal with it. Our playing squad is contracted to PL terms in *League 1*. We have a training ground that costs more to service than we will ever earn from L1 football (or Championship for that matter). The only future is by getting rid of these assholes by any means possible. If you care you know
  11. Definitely possible. I hope we remain attractive enough for another investor to take over before it gets to that
  12. Rowett's just the latest of the fall guys. Every manager since Cooper has been set up to fail spectacularly
  13. On reflection (and I have reflected *a lot*) bring on League One and the potential for excitement and change it offers. Let's hope we don't need to go lower before changing
  14. Same bigots, subtly different branding
  15. I'll make a case for last season being even worse. We had a last chance to take decisions that would put the club on a firmer footing - even if it made relegation likely. Instead...
  16. Trollolololol
  17. It's absolutely up for debate. Yes he was persuaded against his instincts to legislate to allow gay people to marry: a big step after the Tory party's disgraceful attitude towards gay people for many years previously. That *rightly* built on the civil partnership legislation which I recall many Tories fiercely opposed. Cannot remember anything else that was vaguely "socially progressive" from Cameron. Not a vapour of liberalism left in the Tories nowadays as they grovel for crumbs from bonkers Americans, far right billionaires and their media empires. Conclusion: fake all the way. P.s. Don't like any revisionism about Cameron or his government. We'll never undo the colossal damage they wrought on our country.
  18. When Pearson left
  19. You are in for a rude awakening
  20. Owners of the social media sites and newspapers that are encouraging this: https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2026/apr/18/the-families-torn-apart-by-older-relatives-going-far-right (For some reason, Alison's story about her brother seems apposite...)
  21. This is completely wrong. Cooper's splurge on garbage wrecked our one chance of kicking on. Long contracts and exorbitant fees set us back years: we will suffer the consequences into the future. Tactically *clueless* to the extent it was absolutely obvious from pre-season! A disastrous appointment - one of our very worst. Any results we cobbled together under Cooper were pure fluke. We can look to stats for evidence if we're determined to ignore what nearly everyone could see! Crikey, even Top and Rudders knew he was sh1t! You repeatedly bring up Forest as the reason fans turned against him. Demonstrable rubbish. Do you rate Wes Morgan? We all do! What's he up to nowadays?
  22. Ah! Thanks for that
  23. Oh, and to mention Ed Miliband in this thread is so, so, so odd. I wonder which politicians 'splinterdream' would hold as paragons of virtue? And don't give the cop out answer of "none, they're all as bad as eachother"
