  1. Really impressed second half, although, admittedly Wednesday were knackered. Love the rotations to create space for others. Also, the willingness to get the ball wide for 1 v 1 works.
  2. Booing any of the players as they come on is unbelievable. Embarrassing.
  3. There are some quality curry houses/desi pubs in town. Any favourites? Pre-match/post? Live football?
  4. Did you see George Hurst on Friday. He is an absolute pain in the arse for defenders, bullish, a few dark arts and large after his goal. He'll be one to watch this year, he has come on a bundle.
  5. Watched the game. He looked strong, confident and assured. Will be good for him.
  6. Are we a major club then.....they obviously didn't tune in a great deal last season!
  7. Right with you. Buzzin. Promotion.
  8. Jesus. That looks unreal.
  9. Sacking a manager, after winning the title at odds of 5000-1.
  10. Oxford sang it in the early 90's
  11. We have to be the best team to support in the last 10 years. So lucky.
  12. Everything he says indicates a clear vision. I think we've got a good one.
  13. The horn beep through the underpass.
  14. I love this. That was a great place for us as kids. Fantastic memories.
  15. Couldn't agree more. Saving my dinner money for the week and going to Tranmere away...
  16. Bolton away in the early 90's. Hammered it down. Everyone was throwing potato pies about to keep warm. I headed the ball back onto the pitch when the ball went over the bar. The crowd sang sign him on! Loved it......but cold!
  17. One of my favourites that. I remember climbing up the fence so quickly when it hit the net.
  18. Completely agree. Seems weird to say it, but staying up means everything. That run was amazing.
  19. On the Bentley for it. Unreal.
  20. Not even close. Filbert Street. Standing on a box in the family enclosure, supporters club corner, then progress to the kop. Finished off on the Bentley. Wish my boy could live those moments.
  21. You are right. That was an early one for me, the keeper got an absolute pasting about the syrup. Seeing the old grounds makes you realise we were lucky to have them. I know times change, but id do anything to go back to that.
  22. Such a good player. Obviously on the ball he showed class, control, strength and skill. He's going to be a real asset. But, I loved the other side of his game, work rate, bite in the tackle and outstanding tackling techniques. Bravo young man. Player of the season in the making.
  23. Once we settled down and Cooper got into them at half time, we were superb. His interview was encouraging, as was the will to do everything they could to get a point (or more). Some encouraging signs from attacking players too. Great atmosphere.
  24. The negativity in response to this info from the club is ridiculous. I agree, calling it a bowl is awful, but come on, they are only saying we've got a few different food options and going through a few routines.
