  1. Romano has shared a photo of him on his way to sign for Wolves so looks like this is pretty much a done deal.
  2. At least switch to 3-5-2 to help make up for the defensive issues, and play the defenders with pace if you want to play a high line!
  3. Tanner's latest article suggests RVN is likely going to have to work with what we've got. No surprise the issue is PSR, and he highlights the ongoing arbitration with the Premier League. Best possibility of a signing is a loan from abroad. Not surprising based on what we've heard already.
  4. That’s some memory @Ric Flair! It’s not then looking likely at all then for signings if we don’t hear any rumours by tonight.
  5. Really? Sure it was on the day. Edouard was another surprise but appreciate we don’t like to remember that one!
  6. Benkovic. Lookman was a deadline day surprise too.
  7. And Cunha has agreed a contract extension so not leaving this window. Even Southampton are getting a centre half! What has the club become. It’s a joke.
  8. You misunderstood - I meant playing a high line itself was ridiculous, not defending him. Don't get why he did this.
  9. I didn't watch it but @StriderHiryu said he played a high line which is ridiculous. He'd been playing a mid-block to cover for the centre halves lack of pace. After the Bilal sub and Ward fiasco, his decision making has to be seriously questioned. Prior to joining, reports suggested he'd adapt the tactics to fit the players. But it doesn't look like he is, which is very concerning. Maybe he's making a point in desperation to get more signings in?
  10. Withdrawn our offer, the player’s club took too long to respond:
  11. Going to Lille. Reported in the French press yesterday, and now that news has been confirmed by Ornstein.
  12. Pete O'Rourke isn't letting this go: https://www.footballinsider247.com/leicester-cut-price-offer-for-tariq-lamptey-could-be-accepted-by-deadline/ He adds that he's not sure Lamptey would want the move anyway.
  13. Not the most exciting signing but winger and centre half are the priorities so if it's low cost and means more budget for those players, then OK with it.
  14. And they were linked with Banzuzi as well
  15. You've got to take the ineptitude of the managers and DoFs into account as well. For example, Rodgers should have seen we needed a goalkeeper desperately instead of going after Jack Harrison, and we would have most probably stayed up. And how Rudkin managed to let around £135m of talent go on a free is unacceptable.
  16. No doubt, he doesn't hold a candle to Walsh or Macia yet and completely agree in exploring other leagues. Your point on parameters is important - he's had to work with different managers with different styles as Rudkin delegates this. If we had a strong DoF, I think he'd perform better. I still find it wild Congerton made it to Atalanta but then again, he got them Lookman having seen him up close here. Sorry, it's a just general trend in this social media era where someone is either crap or amazing when they're not either so trying to be more objective.
  17. Reportedly Villa are renewing his contract and loaning him to Hull.
  18. So you don't rate getting Hermansen and Fatawu? They were stellar signings. While Yunus didn't settle, he's also gone onto have a strong season. Mavididi was very effective last season as well. Agree that the 22/23 Jan window was horrible but then didn't you also say Tete was a great signing at the time (and also how much influence did he have on that given Rodgers was in charge?). I think it's having a balanced look. I wouldn't go as far as not having him one bit, but it's been very mixed output so far. He seems to do better in getting young players with potential than more established players.
  19. Agree, Glover's signings the previous season were very good. Not his fault we overpaid for Coady and Winks, and Winks was central to how Enzo wanted to play. This season, Skipp stands out as the stinker as well as Okoli given the amount of money spent. Suspect the former was a Cooper signing.
  20. RVN looks good from this - sounds like the players respect his authority and leadership, he told some home truths, and helped the players bond (also revealing who actually was the player in bootgate!) https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6089346/2025/01/26/leicester-van-nistelrooy-tottenham/?source=emp_shared_article
  21. Tanner has revealed that bootgate was Facu, not Okoli! “Among them was Facundo Buonanotte, who Van Nistelrooy challenged in Spanish because he was unhappy he had chosen moulded studs on a wet pitch rather than longer studs and struggled to retain his footing during his brief cameo as a substitute.” Some other scoops as well: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6089346/2025/01/26/leicester-van-nistelrooy-tottenham/?source=emp_shared_article
  22. Thomas. A few posters said his contract expires in the summer but seen elsewhere it’s the following year.
  23. I’ve seen reports his contract was extended again for another year?
  24. I don’t get why we don’t sell, especially from a PSR view, as we now have cover with 3 FBs - Coulibaly, Justin and Kristensen.
