Perhaps, but his story likely damaged it already. Usually, the journalist will say 'the club denies this' or include a rebuttal from the club. For something to be removed, typically means the club have told him off the record it's factually inaccurate and backed it up somehow.

Then why has he removed it from the article?

For Percy to remove it from the article suggests he's not confident in his source now. He had a clear mission with the story, so perhaps was less diligent in verifying? Most of it is still there so doesn't mean the rest of it lacks credibility.

Jason Bourne has tweeted he's at the press conference and first time speaking to RVN. Given his recent tweets, could be fireworks.

But that highlights the problems with the club - it's too much led by the manager rather than the DoF having a grip of things.

It was - reported at the time they fell out, and some players weren’t liking Kasper’s high demands on them. Remember when he dropped Kasper for Ward vs. Watford for no reason but to end his consecutive run of appearances in his last season? Guess he realised later it was a stupid error and they made up. His performance yesterday was superb.

This was a huge mistake by Rodgers, and another example of Rudkin’s mismanagement as he gave him complete control. Kasper’s performances were on the decline statistically but he gave leadership to the team and demanded high standards, things became too comfortable for the players when he left. And goes without saying he would have been better than Ward!

Exactly, looks like they’ve decided the angle and picked the quotes to support it rather than have any actual evidence. But wouldn’t be surprised if it’s true anyway.
