We want £40m for KDH:
-
Romano embarrassing himself after being beaten to the story again by Ornstein, spelt KDH’s surname wrong as well!
-
Hutchinson wants Ipswich, so don't see that happening.
-
Rather take the money than the players on offer, Casadei's quotes after he went back to Chelsea weren't particularly enthusiastic about his time at Leicester. We're in a position of strength here, despite the PSR issues.
-
It's a Polish reporter who tweeted the news first, and then Romano went with it to try to show he's on it. It's interesting he's getting more wrong than he used to, especially on the club. It's why he keeps mentioning exclusives now to defend his reputation.
-
Sounds like even if KDH goes Chelsea, we’ll still look to sign Moder (use the translate post option).
-
Chelsea trying to hijack the deal should mean we get more money but with this board who knows?!
-
Omari is going to Ipswich.
-
Hope it gets Villa and Chelsea before the PL inevitably bow to pressure and change the rules.

I posted that first - appreciates he lives in the area but will be very surprised if he has as much access as he did before with Enzo or says as much about the team.
-
Yeah, in hindsight it was. Not only because Enzo left, he was also carrying an injury. The stuff about Cooper and the way he looks is silly but thing I’ve learned from experience is people who don’t necessarily look the part work harder as they have that extra to prove and invariably more successful as they don’t rely on image but substance. No doubt Cooper will give it his all and not rely on PR fanboys who are more impressed by style (hello Guillem 😉).

Great analysis from Tacticar about how we might shape up - looks like the full backs will be key in providing width:

Posted an Athletic article earlier about what Cooper can bring and here are a couple of paragraphs that stood out: "Above all, however, Cooper wanted to use the time to improve himself. He has teamed up with specialist analysts to scrutinise every aspect of his management. He has examined all the data. He has kept busy, watching all sorts of matches at home and abroad... He has, in short, tried to take in as much new information as he can. He has been determined to improve and make sure, as all good managers do, that he is always evolving. He was open to managing abroad, possibly in the German Bundesliga." AND "Cooper is a student of the game and one of the youngest people — maybe even the youngest — to obtain his UEFA Pro Licence coaching qualification, which he did at age 27. And like a lot of modern managers, he has come to realise it is better to be adaptable rather than being completely wedded to one style of play." PLUS "What Leicester’s fans will find is a manager with an incredibly useful knack for inspiring players and fostering a spirit of togetherness. It is his greatest strength. Even when Forest broke all sorts of records by signing 29 players in the 2022-23 season, Cooper had the force of personality to mould everyone together and create what, at times, felt like a siege mentality." Also, come across as a very decent person. Like many fans, wasn't my first choice but the more I read about him, I can see why he got the role.

Yep, looks like you’re spot on as that’s how the club approached it:
-
From this, wasn’t clear Potter wanted it and it was too complicated because of bringing his back room staff to the club.

Positives on the impending Cooper appointment

I think the stats for 23/24 when he was in charge were a lot better. Forest were particularly underperforming their xG, they should have been around midtable when he got the boot. -

There is no escape 😂

Not currently going to Villa as part of the Douglas Luiz deal - but don’t get how we’re in the race to sign him at that valuation:
-
The inconsistency is it's being reported that Cooper was our top choice. So either that's BS (likely) or Potter's agents have tried to make it look like it was his job if he wanted it to save face from being beaten by Cooper to the role.
-
Beginning to think he may have been very damaged by his Chelsea experience. It's not a good look having allegedly negotiated roles at Ajax and Leicester, and not taken either of them.
