I mean I'm far from impressed but wanting to sack a manager before a competitive ball has been kicked is a new low for football fan patience. You probably will turn out to be right, and I think that's part of the reason fans jump on quick. So they can say they told you so early.

Never been that fussed about visiting Paris but its made me want to go.

Bit surreal seeing footage from Tokyo with no fans. Didn't appreciate the difference at the time.

Crazy how Jakob can tire so much in the 1500 yet can cruise 5000 without breaking a sweat

Do we read anything into Ricky not starting today? He probably gets into the side in 3 different positions ahead of the ones who started today. If we sign noone else he starts in midfield for me

Nothing decided in pre season but its not been a great start and as a new manager you need to get fans on side, he hasn't done that in pre season. Some factors outside of his control, which gives a little benefit of the doubt but that will soon wear off. Attacking options are nowhere near proven at Premier League level and links if new signing don't inspire confidence.

Didn't watch the game, thankfully it seems, that starting midfield? Defence and attack ain't much either. Putting faith in that it's just got he doesn't have the attacking players he wants yet. Not one for shouting 'play alves' but there is litterslly nothing better than him in the number 10 position as it stands, just throw him in and see how he goes.

Can't stand the guy

Medal ceremonies should all be before the last race. Not fair it's a half empty stadium.

Americans just can't lose. Even Warholm losing to them.

Forget how flat championship football is until you're not involved in it. Sky not helped putting opening games on Friday night of course.

Was willing to give breaking a chance but wtf?

Interesting to see plan. Lad needs to play football this season, if we can't guarantee a reasonable he needs to go out on loan. No point keeping him in case we need him.

Not sure I've seen KJT smile as much as I have the last couple of days. Normally so intense. Good to see.

Don't really appreciate the 800 runners until you see the heptathletes do it.

How is anyone supposed to know what is going on with this cycling event? Was hard enough as an individual race, now they are in pairs

With us focusing on loans I can see why are going to have to leave it late in the window.

Are athletes required to test themselves? Really should've just kept quiet about it but his ego had to explain why he didn't win.

Could do with a result just to give people some hope. In reality its meaningless but we need a positivity going into the first game. Problem with playing teams slightly better than you.

You never know until you watch but why is breakdancing at the Olympics?

Always find it weird how little indian/Pakistan have at the Olympics but then they turn up in sports you might not expect. Incredible throws by the Pakistam guy. They always should dominate but the dominance by the USA has been unreal.

Wonder how much energy Lyles burns by being a bellend

The last race I worked out easy enough but this one I have no idea.

The Japanese guy was so smug after he thought he'd won had to do it again and now hes lost. But will they have to do it again?

This summer feels its fans constantly saying SIGN PLAYERS....but then when someone's linked it's NOT THAT ONE
