Brentford (A) Saturday 3pm - Match Thread
Foxdiamond replied to tcrofts's topic in Leicester City Forum
Can't even get to half time without conceding a third. What a load of tripe -
The scene of The Charge of The Scots Greys is amazing and matches the famous painting

Should be a Ruudmaster

Any idea which staff he will bring. Wonder if any chance of Dawson staying -

I think after Enzo left so suddenly and with the points deduction hanging over us we were hoping that Cooper would prove us wrong about negativity regarding his appointment. Pre season and performances so far in the season just provided more darkness than light. No guarantees that Ruud can turn things around but at least there is a charisma that hopefully can translate to points and improvement -

I suppose all those panicking about it not happening will be OK for now -
Ruud awakening for the Premier League!

Not sure they count as jokes -
Glad I resisted the Ridley Scott film Napoleon. The idea that Napoleon personally lead a cavalry charge at Waterloo is ridiculous. This got me thinking about other modern war films. 1970 Waterloo probably superior to Napoleon. 1958 version of Dunkirk better than the Nolan update.

Good post. It seems like another example of people lacking patience in the modern world of instant news or rumour and conjecture. -

Any firm ideas on the staff Ruud will bring? -
I wonder where that would leave us

Apart from betting odds which are not relevant is there any firm evidence that RVN is in the frame more than anybody else?
-
Often when credit is given to Phil Spector the songwriting team of Jeff Barry and Ellie Greenwich is overlooked. Not sure why
-
It is well documented how outplayed we have been in matches and lucky not to have suffered a few serious thumpings. Fortunate to beat Bournemouth. Results against both Saints and Ipswich helped by opposition sending offs. There has been no indication that things were coming together but rather the reverse. The current league position does not reflect the whole story

Forest fans are annoyed…
Foxdiamond replied to Lineker's Left Foot's topic in Leicester City Forum
Can't understand the concern from Forest fans. Cooper was sacked by Forest. I bet they would rather he failed here rather than a comfortable league finish above them with say a cup success. -
Wonder how long Potter can stay out of a job before he is considered to be out of the game too long
-
Would be interested in hearing more from those more familiar with the managers from abroad
-
Why the interest in RVN. Not much of a track record to go on. Moyes has a long track record though not all successful but decent. Potter OK but is there enough.
-
Yes, exactly
-
Please not Southgate. Did nothing at club level.
-
Funny how fans of other clubs with no interest in our club give their views as to the decision to sack Cooper.
-
Doubt we would have appointed him if the points deduction question was not in place. Fair play he wanted the job when others not interested but when you look at our results on top of what got him the sack at Forest then very bleak outlook
-
Even allowing for injuries we are becoming less competitive with signs things are getting worse rather than better. Don't like sacking managers so soon but think it must be done
-
Man C seriously off it. To think Spurs lost at home to Ipswich last time out

World Cups of a Bygone Age (or ones you remember the most)

66 was my first at nearly 10 years old. All downhill from there.
