Got your "eye" on him have you
-
How did that tactic work out for him, remind me.. 🙄
-
Not at all, the question is patently an academic one- ever since my crystal ball went missing. Of course we "may" play entertaining football and still top the league but that is clearly not Enzo's way. So academically which would people choose, A or B? Promotion or entertainment - IF it was that choice.
-
So it comes down to a simple choice- A. rather boring but win the league with record points. Or B.Really entertaining but finish 7th. An entitled minority want both it seems and if B happened they'd be the first voices calling for Enzo's head. If we'd had the man in charge for the last 15 games last season we'd likely still be in the prem! I despair sometimes.

It's all about scale for me, I'm self employed and frankly try to avoid as much tax as possible by claiming for every legitimate expense, as do all people in possession of a brain. The line of decency is crossed imao when multi millionaires pay "creative accountants" to avoid (evade) paying most or all of the due tax. Oddly it's never the big ones who are caught it seems, companies like Amazon, Microsoft, McDonald's all claim to pay what's due but the tax/income percentage looks extremely low. Political connections (ie having a politician either on or a promise to be on the payroll) helps greatly it appears.

Tax avoidance is legal and routinely used by the rich to stay rich and get richer, tax evasion is illegal.

Have you still got the Easter egg? 😐 -
Me too I've bet £32 that he scores 3, so a 32 pound cannon gets the ball. 😐
-
Lol, love the 3 games away bit,I guess you mean they lose 3 and we win 3? you're saying this now to get in first aincha. 🤣

I guess this comes down to " what is a football clubs purpose"? Is it to win things or simply stay in business and make up the numbers? Personally, I watch football for entertainment, and the best entertainment is without a shadow of doubt winning and the pinnacle is being in a final and winning. If I want to watch a business then I tune in to the stock exchange, the way the club is run financially is not my concern and thankfully the only input we all have is turning up and handing over our dosh. Frankly the club should not be in danger of bankruptcy due to not getting promoted if it is then it's not being run properly. If I had a financial interest in the club I may feel differently but only may. What's the point of millions in the bank if it's only to line the pockets of rich men and not used for a shot at glory and immortality? Sounds suspiciously United to me. Realistically we are most unlikely to win the EPL again in the years it has left, and I want to see us in finals and winning trophies. In years to come I suppose cold blooded accountants may admire the figures and skip over the small fact that we never won a thing, but most football records strangely only seem to mention trophies and forget to mention bank accounts. In the final analysis if this "let's not even try" attitude we're adopted by every team who thought they had a chance of finishing high or may be at risk of relegation ( probably 80% of clubs in January), then the glorious FA Cup and it's little brother would be dead. The answer to why risk players is simple, because this is the greatest football competition in the world! Some of the best and most memorable days of my life were at cup match away days and I want more! I suppose you should put me in the misty eyed catagory then for wanting to be entertained!
-
Me too, it's all too easy to dismiss either cup because "we need to concentrate on" promotion, staying up, champions league places, getting into Europe, winning a Euro cup etc etc, this thinking writes off 90% of seasons for the City! I firmly believe the positives of a cup run far outweigh the negatives.

Choosing to support Leicester is great, completely the opposite of picking a team such as ManU or Chelsea! The "supporting" of these teams is spookily connected to their success in any particular year...strange that 🤔. Imao choosing Leicester city over any of the "bigger" teams isn't bandwagoning but rather bravery mixed with a little masochism!
-
Speaking as a Leicester born, Plymouth resident I can tell you categorically that " most" football fans born down here support the obvious..Arsenal, Chelsea and Spuds! Strangely they all support England though 🤔 and often say "well I'm English enni"...hmm.. Guess for me I don't have a choice, I'm a Leicester lad, ergo that is my team.
-
Oh bum, get those wheel nuts tightened lads...bite yer hand off for guaranteed second place now...😬
-
"Yes yer honour, I admit I beat the man to a bloody pulp outside the nightclub but after the plastic surgery he was better looking than before, so actually I did him a favour...besides I broke my hand on his face and couldn't work for six months! The alleged positive effects (for the victims) of breaking rules (or laws) has absolutely no bearing on the penalties imposed! Likewise any implied or real negative effects for the lawbreaker or cheat (in this case) are utterly irrelevant. A club like Everton may well go bankrupt but will not cease to exist, another moral free middle east butcher or american "rich but stupid" owner will buy them because of their name and history.
-
...But there is no arbitrary cut off point for historical success is there? Otherwise in a few years people could justify writing off our remarkable achievements as "well they've not won anything for 10 years". I know if we'd won the top division 6 times I'd be proud of the fact, be it within the last 10 years or within the last 100.
-
Erm..winning the top division 6 times, FA Cup and league Cup twice..maybe? Not a big club by today's monetary standards perhaps, but certainly a club with a history of success and achievement. And as they are the bete noire of the Saudi butchers lot, they do not feature in the c**t book for me for this fact alone! Still hope and expect us to stuff 'em mind.....3-0
-
We're like George Clooney and Brad Pitt turning up at the fat ugly blokes match making do! If our games were boxing matches there would be calls to ban it! Really it should be illegal...🤣
-
That makes us joint leading scorers to go with least conceded.
-
Me, I'm 6'3"...😐
-
Lol..not a writing down joke but l was tickled.

Yep and I'd be looking to see if these two were in the vicinity of Hadrians wall recently too...same sort of utterly brain dead tw@ts as the treegate moron.

I'd take a Desmond (Tutu) at a pinch but not a Desmond (Doss) ta.
