  1. Grow some balls. It must happen.
  2. Commentary so sad that Norwich equalised. Remembered our Carabou cup with them, when is was announced that Nunez was ‘ravenous’, even though we were winning.
  3. Have you ever tried to upload a video in a football ground? Takes about a week.
  4. Fans in the ground at 85 mins. Are you mad?
  5. Personally, i dont think we should be persisting with Yunus on the wing anymore. It should be between him and KDH and the two should rotate and compete for that spot. Yunus would benefit from having his role in the team rather than flipping between 2. Fatawu is back for the match after so that solves that problem anyway, so I would stick with McAteer.
  6. Thought about it a bit more. Definitely Coventry at home. Then, the club needs pay @Ric Flair 's company and have him host daily sessions at Seagrave leading up to the match. Needs to be clear how 'orrible they are, why this is the game of everyone's lives, how losing to this scum is never an option. Ric needs to get gradually more angry during the week. It needs to be almost biblical the day before the match. Fatawu needs to be secured at Seagrave all week, and primed - he needs to be hungry. Fatawu should come out on match day enraged and oiled for the game of his life. Then, Fatawu will score a hatrick. Each goal will be that incutting left footed screamer he been teasing us with all season. He will nail it perfectly each time - top left corner. He's been messing with us all season. He knows how to hit it - he's just been waiting for the right day. When he scores the 3rd goal, Fatawu and Daka do somersaults in front of the singing section. Enzo does a somersault. I go home and have the curry of my life and that bottle of red I bought on holiday that i've been saving. ..... Actually, i'm pretty sure we are getting Liverpool away.
  7. A pre assist out to Albrighton for the first (a very nice ball out the the wing). I thought he was good second half (by no means brilliant), but each to their own . I worry about physicality, but he is pretty skillful and has the ability to glide past players. I said 30 mil because you said 'better player'. A better more established player will come with a higher fee. I don't understand how many £7 million players we are going to be able to draft in and hit the ground running next season that will be significantly better.
  8. Did i say that? I don't disagree that £7million couldn't be put towards a £30 million player, but are we going to be a club paying those sort of fees next year? There isn't much at the £7million level we are going to be able to tap into next year. Yunus is still only 23 and shows bags of potential. I think there is a skillful player there who has a thunderous shot on him. There is a lot of potential up side if we get it right with him.
  9. Da, da da da da, da, Ben Nelson, da da da da da da, Bel Nelson. Sorry - had to get it out of my system.
  10. Maybe, but things are a little different now and maybe Brighton need to steer away from that model if they want to kick on a bit. The media has made a lot of noise about them, but they've been largely average this season and sit just ahead of Man U, Chelsea and Newcastle who are massively underperforming. They are certainly not performing at a level befitting how they are raved about. All things considered, would finishing 10th be a good season for them? The demands of a bit of success and european football mean that they may need to make the odd transfer risk, and buy in an experienced head like KDH to push them forward. Slide downwards with the current model, and they might find themselves struggling over the next few seasons. No way we get rid for £20 mil, but push them up to £30 ( especially if Brighton feel they need something else ), then I would struggle to say no.
  11. I keep reading this, and appreciate its opinion. But i don't think he was quality at all, just good at times. Teams had already started to target him and imho he had started to show some defensive frailties. His biggest asset was the ability to pass with his left foot and transition up the field quickly. It's interesting in a match like yesterday where defensive quality was needed, he actually struggled and we needed a more experienced head in his place. However! He's only 20 and he's still developing. I have to remember he is the same age as Brandon Cover and younger than Arjan Raikhy!!
  12. When you are playing short, their is significant responsibility on the defensive players and the player in the Winks (Hamza yesterday) role. Vesty being so comfortable on the ball and able to almost trick attackers is key to the system. A lot of the first half Brum played this very aggressively. I sit in H1 and said to my boy if we had our normal line up i could see us slicing straight though that and getting a bag load of chances. This moment below is actually when Hamza gives it away - he plays the pass to Coady (who is in the right spot) but lazily plays it too soft. Stolarczyk hasn't done anything wrong here (and looks calm and comfortable), it's the team that messes it up, but it's too easy to blame the keeper for piddling around at the back. These lazy moments give the opposition lots of confidence to try again. I have to say, i don't remember thinking distribution was poor in the 2nd half. Also, Brum looked knackered when they came off and Mowbray even mentioned it in his post match interview. Although it's tough to watch, it's a good example of the tactic being used to tire the opposition.
  13. I dont see Mark getting the start on Tuesday. I think he will give it to McAteer and maybe put Praet in there instead of Yunus. Not because Preat is better than Yunus, but because Yunis will be used as KDH's rotation. Agree with everything else you say, and also about Riccy being vital. I think he will start: Hermansen Ricardo Vestergaard Faes Justin Winks KDH Praet McAteer Cannon Mavididi
  14. I said it before, although the passing wasn't working out, he didn't panic and once we strengthened up at the back in the 2nd half (and got our goal!) everything settled down. In the first half, i think Mads would have struggled with that back line, and Brum targeted it aggressively as well - most their players looked knackered at half time. Very different story if Jakub had Riccy, JJ, Wout and Vesty with him. Was very brave of Enzo not to play one of the big 2 in CD. I think he has great potential. Would actually love to see him get some games in the full strength squad as I remembered he gave a good account of himself against Huddersfield earlier in the season.
  15. Cov at home would be beautiful. Let Fatawu lose on the scum.
  16. Enzo doesn't need to explain why. I could only presume that it was decided (either pre agreed or during the match) that a more experienced head was needed in the inverted role in the 2nd half. The fact that Cover, for 45 mins in that role made a good account of himself is something he should hold his head high about. Its a very difficult role to play, and the danger for the kid is that the wheels fall of quickly. I hope we see more of him. As for Hamza, I agree. But you can't expect an academy kid to play 2 roles in one match. He would have trained for the inverted role in the week.
  17. No chance. Was clearly lack of concentration. He seemed to get it sorted last 20 mins. Disappointed because he should have been the experience head helping the kids, but he was causing most the problems for them. Hes obviously got issues off the pitch to deal with. I don’t think he will feature for a while now.
  18. Wasn’t convinced before the injury. The big advantage is getting the ball upfield quickly, but he is lacking otherwise. Other teams are targeting him - it’s no accident we see it time and time again. JJ has kicked on significantly, and is way ahead in the pecking order. Would definitely rather see minutes from a Nelson moving forward.
  19. Other from Cannon, who did brilliantly imho.
  20. Winks, Riccy, Vesty and Faes make a huge difference. I think Mads would have struggled today. Distribution will improve with a run of games, and the good thing is that Stolarcayk gives it a go and doesn't let the mistakes phase him.
  21. Boo Kevin at your peril, because you do that - then he whips the ball into Vardy. Who the fek books Albrighton? Got to be one of the most likable players out there. Brain dead fans.
  22. Really enjoyed that today. Had little hope before the game for some reason, and then the lineups made me think we could get a hiding, so i just went with the mindset to enjoy a day at the football. Atmosphere was brilliant. Having more in the singing section worked and its nice to read people want to move over there. Didn't have the usual moaners either side of us, actually had 3 guys on holiday sat next to me who sang their hearts out. Lots of kids and most singing along to a lot of songs as well. It just all felt good. Negatives - Getting hammered somewhat in the first half (although I started to find it funny they couldn't score), and Hamza looked like there was something almost wrong with him. His concentration was totally shot - there was one moment where he got in the way of a throw in as he was jogging around paying no attention - it just skimmed his hair. I also think Doyle was really poor - and now has to play 2nd fiddle to JJ for the rest of the season. Positives - A clean sheet even with that first half!, Cover looked excellent, Nelson looks tasty and Jakub is the nuts between the sticks. Vardy & Albrighton magic in the 2nd half, and i thought Akgun played very well as well (and a banger to top it off). Praet getting a goal felt 'strange' to say the least, but i will take it. Not been much talk about Cannon, but again today he showed me he is going to go on and do great things for us. That 3rd goal was brilliant from him. Took the ball well - the keeper committed, but he didnt panic and was very level headed and played exactly the right ball to Praet. The guys a clever footballer. Hope the next round is at home. Cup games just feel different.
  23. Pre assist for the first goal too. Lovely ball out to Kevin. I've got a lot of time for him, and a run of games he could get better and better. But KDH is always going to be first dibs if we were to play him in the middle, and he will be behind the 2 main wingers if we want to play him out there. If KDH stays, i don't see him being dropped at all. Feel Akgun is the sort of player that is going to need 4 or 5 starts to get motoring. He looks so frekin happy with his goal. Was a banger.
  24. Cover was excellent. I don’t think he was hooked for anything he did wrong. Think Enzo planned to have a bit more experience on in the 2nd half. It’s hard to tell with 1 half, but he’s someone to get excited about.
