  1. It's one thing pouring money into big boxing spectacles, or the region hosting international tournaments that pull in the relatively wealthy spectators from all over. A domestic league requires local and dedicated support which doesn't just appear overnight. I think they are banking on the next generation of supporter not really support clubs, but the players that move to that club. Reality is there are only a few players who can bring in that type of interest (Ronaldo, Messi, Mbappe, Naymar), but the reality is that's not enough to hold interest for the whole domestic calendar. And is it interesting enough to have Ronaldo playing in a match where the defence is made up players who couldn't get into lower league football in most countries? Its very low in the list of things that i can be bothered to watch. They won't improve the standard just by buying last years superstars. Unless there is a long term plan to develop players throughout the league then its as doomed as the other short term rich ideas. Saudi Pro league as it stands doesn't bother me. What concerns me more is what they will dream up when they decide a local domestic league isn't going to work. I can see them coming up with the 'next generation' club tournaments hosted there that massively disrupt the worldwide domestic leagues.
  2. He's 18. Surely doesn't need registering?
  3. Experienced PL players will run him ragged as he is not ready to deal with their pace / pressing.
  4. Its the perfect storm. He doesn't want to be here. We haven't wanted him for years. Only 1 club that has no money would loan him. He's always injured. Yet he's only one of a few midfielders we have so we can't get rid of him, even though noone (including us) wants him.
  5. People making this up because it makes them feel better. Enzo wanted Casadei here for the rest of the season. Think Chelsea rate him, but even so he wont see much game time.
  6. Dont tell Dennis to put his thumbs up. He will pull a muscle.
  7. Which is……
  8. Have you seen some of the shite they've signed?
  9. Thats how rumours start. They were just good friends.
  10. All the reports state he will be joining the Chelsea squad.
  11. Dont want to go now.
  12. You can't play someone in the exit lounge. No way will he put his body at any risk.
  13. We are having a stonking transfer window. I thought he’d been decent last few games.
  14. Surely every club could find themselves in breach in the future? Furthermore, the PL has proven that they are now taking action, but Everton / Forest is about what has happened.
  15. Forest haven't been hit just because they went up. They've been hit because they went on a ridiculous spending spree. If you think about the huge amount they spent on dross, the fact they brought average players in on loan without knowing they didn't have the places for them, and then paid stupid weekly wages to a tiktok influencer pretending to be a footballer. Its almost unbelievable to understand that they were very, very, very nearly compliant. Its astonishing really.
  16. If you want to see bitter then go to their fan forum. Just make sure you delouse yourself afterwards.
  17. Convinced i went to the home Watford FA cup game a few years back (when the lights went out) and we weren't members.
  18. Surely, with those avg speed cameras we’ve all realised we we’re speeding a little, so slowed to under the limit to average it out?
  19. They all leave 85 mins into the game at home?
  20. Does the same apply if i don't pay my invoices, or my mortgage? Or if I dip 10 million into my overdraft for 3 months. Can i tell my bank i was simply trying to do the right thing by holding back cash for 3 months. They might listen to me but i will still be penalised with the boundaries of any agreement i have with them. There is an established framework and rules to stick to. Whats clear to me is that, like businesses not paying invoices or playing silly buggers with their suppliers or banks, breaking these rules will be part of the operating tactic. For example, if Forest get a 6 point deduction and don't get relegated, then the tactic paid off and for us it didn't.
  21. We dropped down a league.
  22. Hope. Every time he is injured, he enters that phase in most fans mind when the player is missing - 'he is the solution to our issues'. The longer he is out, the more the brain fog sets in and fans forget that he could really give 2 shits about being here. When Praet comes back, we have a skillful, technical and creative player. One of his favourite things to do is get an assist just before getting injured. That really messes up our minds!
  23. The dream year would be Everton and Forest go down because of deductions, and then Brentford
  24. Yes, Harbs is definitely very Leicester with the odd Arsenal and Liverpool shirt seen about. Strange though that my boy is the only Leicester fan in his class. When we lived down south one of his mates was a Leicester fan, but think my son just coerced him into it.
