  1. Yeah - he isn't going to get defending like that in the Championship.
  2. Hobsons choice. We all know deep down that, although he would run around a lot, Daka would have build rubbish, and most would be saying it was the sort of game that suited Ayew (hurts just typing that). I wish he had played Daka, but we all know that its a terrible decision to have to make.
  3. This is Leicester. At least one loan will be shite.
  4. Why would we do that on loan when we have talent coming through?
  5. Plays as Southampton of FC25
  6. “Hi Leicester. It’s the Premier League here. Listen, this PSR stuff has been going on a long time hasn’t it? How about you just take the 10 points and we can all get back to our day jobs. Sound ok right?”
  7. Surely these sell on deals are based on the profit, not the entire deal.....
  8. Balanced out with some very good saves and on the whole keeps out more than expected. I would like some more leaders (who arent OAPs) on the pitch in positions we cant fill with academy players.
  9. Harvey Barnes.
  10. Was thinking about this walking the dog this morning. You would have assumed that in the lead up to the game there would have been next to no proper preparation for him to play at CB, especially for nearly 80 minutes. Furthermore, to come on after a sending off (remembering he has had this himself) and play with 10 men putting further pressure on the back line - i imagine there would have been no discussion about this. Taking everything into consideration, he was excellent. Didnt look out of place and driving forward put some of the senior players to shame. Have to see more of him.
  11. Yes, but the team also needs to let academy products transition from that into first team regulars. Yesterday the only senior players in the back 5 (including the keeper) where Luke Thomas (no leadership, and poor himself) and Riccy (no leadership, playing the worst football of his career). The we have Hamza (a knob head who got injured anyway) and Page and Winks (wants out of the club at any cost). Then you have Abdul who is as mad as a box of frogs, and Ayew who barely realises he is at a football game. Yet - blame it all on Jakub, who in the first half made a save that kept us in the game anyway. I don't dissagree, but in an ideal world we have a proper mobile leader at CB, midfield and up top. We have none, anywhere.Have those, and this keeper can flourish.
  12. Begovic conceded 6 goals in 2 games for us and is in his 40's- he's not some magic formula that's going to stop us conceding. What this team needs is someone in their late 20's hitting their prime. We don't have that. This one upsets me really, because i think people are unfairly getting on his back. He wasn't at fault for the 2 goals and made some decent saves and made good calls to come out early. There were mistakes and got lucky for the disallowed one. He's form isn't good enough for sure, but our team puts so much more pressure on our keeper than other teams do, we aren't giving him the opportunity to settle in and build up confidence. None of the experienced players offer any help, and Riccy is useless. Later in the the 2nd half Abdul went crazy at his when throwing the ball out to the wing (and was still screaming 5 minutes after it happened). The crowd get on Jakubs back for this yet no player looks for the it be played to them. A more experience keeper can do better here, but the team have to appreciate this is his first full season. Abduls attitude stank because when he first came in the senior players looked after him. Riccy saw it happened, and did nothing. Minutes later Abdul is having goes at the lino and not tracking back. Again, just puts more pressure on the defence and keeper.
  13. Riccy and Vestergaard are a lot older and it shows, Riccy in particular doesnt have the legs. Winks and Daka have checked out, and Jakub was second choice and Hamza didnt feature much. Fatawu and Mavadidi i think would benefit from his coaching, but i think Abdul's attitude has massively regressed. Without a good striker and KDH - the team is miles off where it was.
  14. Put a cross in, have a striker there. Score. Who would have thought it.
  15. Because we've nailed that in the past!
  16. At the game i couldn't understand how, even with 10 men (or 9 if you count Ayew), they had so much space for their first goal. Then i saw the replay from the moment the keeper picked up the ball. Now, noone is shining themselves in glory here, and the fact the defender was able to travel almost the whole length of the pitch is completely scandalous. And Fatawu's kick of the ball was horrific. BUT, Ayew is practically playing rock paper scissors with Fatawu here. Remember that we were in possession up to this point (it was a poor kick from Fatawu that gave it to the keeper). Down to 10 men, we need far more discipline from our senior players, and I think everyone now just drifts because Ayew provides no leadership in this 9 (of false 9) role . If Ayew is more central (doesnt need to be nuts - just not on Fatawu's toes) then Mavadidi wont feel that he needs to compensate so much. It leads to a situation where the left winger wasnt covering the left side of the pitch on a counter attack.
  17. Its not scandalous! Before he left, even Enzo experimented with a different take on the formation. I doubt he would have gone into the Prem blindly playing it the way he did. Saying that, Coopers formation stank.
  18. Its amazing how sh1t is spun sometimes. The players are grown ups - and a few senior players held a meeting. That was them taking responsibility for their performances. If Enzo was ok with that - surely thats good leadership?
  19. Ha! Brilliant. Actually, our squad started to fall off a cliff 2nd half that season and exhibit all the issues you see today. Enzo + a few key players (a possessed KHD for one) got us over the line - i think another manager would have failed that. I think Enzo knew the future was tough though, and we certainly wouldn't have signed Ayew + Okoli.
  20. Didn’t come in to work today as he is still stood on his dogs tennis ball and hasn’t released it for the pass yet. Our best defender. Lol!!
