At the 3 swans for lunch in Harborough today and had a few pints of Langton Inclined Plane. It’s a bit old fashioned by today’s US style IPAs (I know it’s an Amber), but it’s a really nice easy beer and damn good value too. Must go back to the brewery soon as it’s a decent visit.

Not defending Wout, but how much has Souttar cost per game he has played?
-
For 2 mins 14 seconds. Improved his stats mind you....
-
And if its a loan, i look forward to the 3 sub appearances he makes, before its Ayew again for 90 mins every game.
-
Interesting. I thought the general consensus on here was that Fatawu had regressed. I dont think that - i just think we expect more from him and he tries too hard.

I'm not sure anymore. If you watch the recent Sky Sports video, Jordan James calls it out pretty quickly. If you want it smashed top bins, Abdul will probably be able to do it. Want something that uses a bit of intricate skill - no chance. I imagine a lot of frustrating stuff goes on in training with him. I remember an interview with Ayew where he referred to Abdul doing 'Abdul things' and made mention that he can be frustrating. I don't think Fatawu has a football brain and i don't think that can be coached into him. Has has 3 or 4 outstanding tools at his disposal and if the stars align, he will be able to use one of them for a moment of magic. But we see him over using these and defenders work out how to counter them. He doesn't have the ability to read the game and do something different beyond his moments of magic. When needing to get stuck in and do the boring stuff, you see him giving the ball away cheaply time and time again. A good coach like Maresca can get the best out of those tools (although if you recall under Maresca most of those left foot shots were flying over the bar until the Bournemouth FA cup game), by coaching patterns of play that get the best out of those tools. But in a better side, more will be expected of him and I just dont think he's got the overall ability.

Its modern Man City syndrome. If they are good then the better clubs should be hoovering them up, even if they end up wasting away on the bench. James is still young, and he's done well but not hit the heights or consistency that KDH did for us in the Championship. But he's one of the first names on the teamsheet and no matter what he will be learning from his time here. Wouldn't it be lovely to be saying that he is the perfect choice to spearhead the next gen Leicester city, where we focus on bringing academy players through and youth, rather than dross like Ayew, and football tribute acts like Riccy P has become. But no - he's too good. Buy him, make him captain, and give him the responsibility to spearhead our future on the pitch. This will then pave the way for a big money move for him in a few years where he can kick on the rest of his career.

We should sign some of those defenders too.
-
Who gave Ayew a bollocking for drifting everywhere apart from where he should be? Embarrassing in the second half when Mavididi is running up the wing and Ayew drifts and runs behind him, giving Stephi no outlet at all.

I’ve watched the last replay on the sky sports highlights. I think that’s going wide.
-
He did save it. He pushed it wide and the attackers got to it.
-
Whats worse is that Jakub makes a good save there. You have 2 Cov players hungry for the rebound. Where is Riccy as well?
-
Thats like saying Chlamydia is better than genital herpes. Both are still awful.

Can someone remind me his goal contribution stats in 4.5 years of playing for us?
-
The same Woyo that can barely get a game at Sassuolo.
-
Maybe - but he has to take a long hard look at himself. So many times he is given the ball with time / space and he is punting it nowhere.
-
Vestergaard isn't a defender. He a massive lump that can pass the ball from the back, on his own terms. Okoli can defend, but has the mentality of a 12 year old boy who is getting bullied at school. Okoli never learned to pass the ball. Just because Vestergaard isn't starting doesnt mean he wasnt responsible for lots of conceded goals this season. They are both poor, but as a club we need to planning for the future and that future doesnt involve Vestergaard. We can get some sort of resale for Okoli - but nother for Vestergaard.
-
Who are we going to get for nothing?
-
Wasnt the rumour if we lost to West Brom he was off?
-
I just dont get it. 2nd half we had a few opportunities on the counter and Ayew was almost following Mavadidi around rather than getting into space. Its like we just wanted to hold the ball up rather than attack. And the 2 subs on the 90th minute, one which is Silko (who i dont mind, but everyone knows isnt going to impact a game) and f***ng Soumare who has in 4.5 years has about 2 goal contributions. These subs were done on the 90th minute when Jakub was running to get the ball to get moving quickly again after a Cov attack. Manager is outright weird.
-
Because he didnt put a 40 year old in goal, and lurch in defence?
-
Thanks god Ayew is starting. For a moment i was worried we might put a striker up front.

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR

I suppose the argument is that if they have the revenue and can offset everything, then they are doing nothing wrong. The issue is how they were able to 'generate' the revenue in the first place. And i still think its worse that they signed Grealish for 100m only to barely ever play him. -

He's been peppered all season and his stats show his kept out more than he's predicted to let in. MoM against West Brom and kept us in that game. Yeah - lets go drop him for a 40 year old who himself shipped 6 goals in 2 games and has no future in the game. Vestergaard is one of the main reasons we are in the predicament we are. Holds the ball, slows down play, dictates the rhythm, pace has to be set his way and is an oil tanker. Nelson looks so much better on the left side without lurch there. We have to be planning for the future and Okoli / Nelson in the middle does that. Vestergaard should be backup option from now on. -
