I doubt this has anything to do with it. Surely this is about his development and fees at this level are a drop in the ocean compared to some 1st team players salaries. Fuchs isn't employed by our club so shouldn't factor into any decision. Of course the worst team in L2 would want to keep him, he was frequently rated their best player. As nice as that sounds, our academy boy shouldn't be rated their best player every week. In circumstances like this you've got to trust everyone behind the scenes. The goal surely is for him to keep playing regularly and developing. Maybe they tried L1 but there were no guarantees, so likely the thinking was that a team pushing for promotion is now better experience.

We will probably look at him because he plays the sort football our owners want. Can't help but think the theme is similar to Marti though in that Middlesborough were better once he had left. Remember them beating us 2 years ago then losing to dross. Personally of the opinion we should be thinking differently and that whilst Carrick might be a bit better, will just be more of the same.

I know you are relaying information, but what is the point of keeping him then. If the players dont want him they will just down tools. If you are 1 loss away from the sack then you aren't good enough. Noone going for playoffs wins everygame, so even if we win tomorrow then we are just 1 defeat away from saying 'if he doesn't win the next one he's off'. Just find the replacement and move on.

I know we are a secretive club, but i feel its strange for a bit of radio silence today. The LCFC twitter account has posted yesterdays interviews, buts thats it. After Marti's semi dig at something, i was expecting to get some sort of rumour.

With out players - yes its an aweful prospect.

Was it my imagination, or did Sheff Utd play 4-4-2? They pressed us off the park, won every second ball. They seemed to have players all over pitch, where as it felt we had no one out of our 3rd for most of the game. Fancy formations don't really matter if you do the basics right.

Its not just the manager though. The style we want to employ comes from the top.

Makes no difference in this system and the tactics we use. We are so leaky in midfield and have been for ages. The defence is put under so much pressure and we spend most of the game passing around the back. We need a change of structure and system. Chucking a different CB in there makes no difference.

There are 2 Luke Thomas' - the one that looks like an average Championship defender and one that looks like he is 5 seconds behind the rest of the game. Today he was horrific. Okoli is the worst passer of the ball i have seen. The other CB has to protect him from his mistakes Nelson needs protecting from this sh1t. Riccy P is woeful - its like watching an old Riccy P tribute band. Useless Captain and has no legs. Skipp - we've grown to accept him because he's not been complete garbage lately. But when the going gets tough, he is nowhere to be seen. JJ - Poor game, and looked really pissed off Bobby - Can't be playing this much football and the fixture list caught up with him. Again, when it gets tough he doesnt show up. Fatawu is garbage, and now concerned we have massively overrated him. Scoring the worldies is actually the worst thing that could have happened to him. Needs to get the basics right. Mavididi - runs around a lot, but is delivering nothing. Silko - seems like he was asked to just run around a lot. Kids got legs for sure, but presumably the 'run around on your own' role takes a bit of experience. God knows how this lot prepare for games. There are some decent prospects in there that need protecting from this junk.

Good to see we start the new year with a bang! At least its the shit half out of the way.

Must mean Faes is definitely out and going. And nice to see Jannik on the bench and not straight back in the side. Although, he won't like not being 1st choice for much longer. I presume Ayew is knackered (looked dead towards the end of Derby), and Daka has been home for 5 mins. Silko going to run them ragged and then we bring Daka on to do the same. I think we win this.
