Jordan Ayew Signs 2 year deal - Official
Rossiter replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Most on Palace forum have positive words to say about him. Good attitude, good servant etc. They are pleased with the money for him. -
I get the anger and frustration but would it be better to see where we're at in 5 or 6 games? Is it a bit premature to have the knives out already? It's impossible to undo the past. Get behind the team, make it hard for the opposition. We could well have a bad start but a bit of positivity may reduce the chances of a poor start.

Tottenham (H) - Mon 19 Aug 8pm - Pre-Match Thread
Rossiter replied to lnkstern's topic in Leicester City Forum
Could be an open game the way Spurs play. Should be entertaining. Trying to think positively - at least Kane won't be there. He scored a lot against us. -
I'm puzzled as to why pre-season is getting some excited. It's mainly to get fitness levels up I would have thought and, importantly, to do so without getting injured. Some players perhaps need extra minutes in their legs (we don't see their fitness stats) so have maybe played in different positions. I guess there's some level of tactics and shape work but I'd have thought that's more for Seagrave. Just listened to the radio and Preston manager has quit and they beat Liverpool and Fiorentina in pre-season games apparently. We are all going to find out after five or six proper competitive games how the land lies.

Maybe. We will find out I guess. Anyone who got Forest up after 20 years or so must have something about them no?

What's so brilliant about Potter?

Also, I remember when Fofana got crocked by a Spanish player in preseason visit by ? Spanish team so that went well. Then again, I recall Benlouane kicking a Burton player up on the air in a pre season friendly and getting hooked immediately! If it's a run out why put the miles in? Surely the players would rather be back home quickly after a non event pre season match as witnessed today.

Not a rant. Just an observation. I should have put a calm demeanour type emoji. Not overly bothered really. Just seems a bit of a waste of time when could've had a run out in the Midlands. Having said that, sounds like lots had a good trip so .

In this day and age of trying to save the planet and limiting the carbon footprint etc....why are we playing abroad? Why not play Lincoln like we did before title winning season?

£70 is a fair price for such a versatile garment. It can be worn on match days, mooching around Fosse Park, down the pub, on the beach and for playing sport. Not suitable for outdoor wear in some other cities though.

Nobody is forcing anyone to buy a replica shirt. Of course they're a rip off. What isn’t at the moment? Imo it's not essential to show support through wearing a replica shirt. If you want one you have to buy one. Anyway, some past seasons' shirts are often a better look and much cheaper. Clubs are able to sell loads at around £80 a pop and lots of people even spend more by paying for names on the back! Businesses rarely dobfavours for anyone imo. It's not what they are primarily there for.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Rossiter replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Maybe we'll create a new look league if that happens-somehow. A resurrection like Wimbledon. -
Questions to be asked at manager interviews

Bon Jovi or Guns and Roses? Blur or Oasis? -
Fair enough but I didn't see any evidence of him lacking 'speed of thought'. Hard to tell. You saw it. I didn't. He had a good season. Helped us to gain promotion. Powers that be thought he did well and offered him a contract. I can see why some think 3 years is too much. Maybe 2 would've been prudent but then he would have turned it down. So maybe we are splitting hairs over 1 year. In the great scheme of things that's not a lot. I'm not sure which other defenders are out there that would be an upgrade and affordable given our current situation. Personally, it's good to see players who want to stay and fight for us. From what I saw last season he played like he wanted to win.

Not every team in PL has players like Chelsea do. Probably this year we are in a mini league with Forest, Southampton, Ipswich etc. Imo Chelsea are top 6 really and the top 6 teams, on their day, make mugs of most teams outside top 6. So, to use Chelsea players as a stick to beat Vesty with is, in my opinion, a bit harsh. Vestegaard has many qualities, and, like most players in teams like ours, has weaknesses. It's where we're at. Hopefully we can get back to being top 10 sooner rather than later and we can upgrade the squad. We'll see soon enough how we get on.
-
Why? Promotion = job done with the players selected.

Name a player who doesn't lose the ball at times.

Carrick is not a bad shout.

Garcia has had a huge personal tragedy. Be good to see him do well if he comes to us. From a footballing perspective, he has some good experience.

Imo their main loyalty is to their family. Get more financial security (possibly) with a move. Plus, on paper, better chances of silverware, international recognition etc if a move to a different club is successful.

Premier league clubs to vote on scrapping VAR
Rossiter replied to David Hankey's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think some business people can see an opportunity for showing TV commercials during VAR breaks. Longer VAR checks could suit advertisers. Unless the game becomes unwatchable due to VAR. -
Hopefully there was a whip-round for the bus drivers.
