  1. He knows the club. The stadium, ownership, players, training ground, backroom staff and most of the supporters may be different. But he knows the club.
  2. Aiawatt: “Jon, we’ve lost 4 games in a row since sacking Marti. Maybe we should try to hire a replacement now?” Jon: “We might win next week though.” Aiawatt: “Good point. Let’s hold off for now and circle back to this in a couple of weeks.”
  3. He was appointed at Leuven when Vichai was alive though. Top's thinking on NP may be different. But I'm just speculating.
  4. Waiting For The Out on BBC is the best thing I’ve watched in a long time.
  5. Suspect a return for Pearson wouldn’t go down well in Thailand. Given the emphasis in ‘saving face’ in Thai culture this may be a significant consideration for Aiawatt and his mother.
  6. Relatedly - Baldwin's standing is far higher than it should be.
  7. Charlton away, 2005. Don't think the concept of 'limbs' existed back then, but limbs there certainly were when Dublin popped up with that last minute winner.
  8. January 2022 was when Rodgers made his 'refresh' comments. I'd argue we'd already had the refresh in Summer 2021 when he spent £60m on Daka, Soumare, Vestergaard and Bertrand, and didn't have to sell a key player as we had in previous summers. The reason he was still demanding more money for transfers at that point was because none of his signings in the previous window had improved the team.
  9. In my time, off the top of my head: D Ward Canero Carey Faes McGivern Low Lewis Soumare Hammill Hammond Akinbiyi
  10. Piper's comments on RL last night suggest it's not. Pearson strikes me as quite a private bloke so wouldn't surprise me if neither know very much about his health. Either way, can't blame him if he doesn't fancy walking into this mess.
  11. Would love to hear a KPFC defence of the decision-making processes at LCFC. - Waiting until early July to sack RVN despite having about four months before that to prepare for the Championship - Waiting another two weeks to appoint Cifuentes, just three weeks before the start of the season - Leaving it four months (and counting) without a chief executive after Susan Whelan's departure - Promising in early November that Rudkin would move to a new role and a technical director be appointed, then nothing happening - Sacking Cifuentes and failing to appoint a new manager for 16 days (and counting) Appalling mismanagement of our football club.
  12. Appreciate footballers are young guys and like most young guys social media is a big part of their life. But surely it cannot be doing any player much good to immediately mainline a load of online, often hostile reviews of their performance after a match. Go out for a meal, watch a film, bang your girlfriend…do anything to take your mind off football for a few hours.
  13. Fortune favours the brave Kingy. Please don’t persist with players who have consistently failed us this season. Assuming the new players are fit (a big if) I’d like to see something like: Jakub Ricardo Nelson Lascelles Aluko Skipp Aribo Page Mavididi Mukasa Fatawu
  14. No rush lads. Take your time.
  15. No idea if this lad is any good but I’ve watched Newport a fair bit this season and Opoku hasn’t been great. He’s 24 and his contract is up at the end of this season I believe. Suspect he’ll have an ok career in League 2, maybe the National League.
  16. It’s not like he has a huge emotional connection with Leicester. This isn’t Pearson or Ranieri. I’m sure he has fond memories of the title win but we were his first job, he left after one season, he’s gone on to better things. And despite how things ended at Chelsea, his stock remains high and he’ll have offers from the top clubs in Europe over the coming months. It is utterly delusional to think he’d come back here, and if there is any truth in the reports we’ve approached him that raises even more concerns about how decisions are made at the club.
  17. Yes. It was that guy from Motley Cru.
  18. Reminds me of a lad I knew at school who wrote to Pamela Anderson when he was 12 asking her to marry him.
  19. Not overnight though is it? His last England appearance was six years ago. Jesse Lingard played for England more recently, and he’s now playing in Korea.
  20. Aiawatt comes across as very naive in that interview. Really concerning.
  21. Will be class in League One.
  22. Wasn't sure whether I'd be censored for that bit but...yep.
  23. "Where is he? Where is the geezer? He's in Europe with his trotters up. He should be held to account."
  24. Re-listening to the debut album by The XX. Enjoyed when it first came out, then it was EVERYWHERE - for a couple of years it seemed like every single TV trailer was accompanied by Intro. Saturation bred contempt and I put it into my mental box of 'overhyped 00s indie albums that aren't worth listening to now'. Dug it out again on a whim and it's a certified banger. A couple of duff tracks so it's not a perfect record, but it's a really coherent listen. They could release it today and it would still sound fresh. Just incredible that they were 17/18 when writing these songs.
  25. Spot on. Aluko, not Hamza, should be rotating with Ricardo. Left back is a major problem. Thomas is not good enough.
