  1. That was also the findings from the “internal report” last time but Rudkin’s fax machine was broke so never got sent 😜
  2. Also the same formula for our transfer windows….why would you not always have a bit in reserve in case the summer signings didn’t pay off? I know that’s a negative thought process but our track record suggests it would be advisable.
  3. Ok, shall we ignore how many more points we’ve picked up this season with him in the starting 11 than not? Seriously think some posters on here are either related to Cooper or the man himself. Ruud is likely not the long term man for us but this nonsense of how good Cooper was for us is the worst revisionism on here since Cambiasso single handedly kept us up in the great escape.
  4. Or ignore how much of a joke that people I know personally keep saying about the Chelsea game. It works both ways. Cooper was a horrendous appointment, Ruud most likely is too but I’m not having people rewrite history about Cooper, it’s baffling and completely ignores some obvious differences between their time here.
  5. Did we not actually create a few half chances before the “Ward effect” truly kicked in. I remember Vardy being through on goal and sure Sa handled the ball outside the box. I have a couple of Chelsea ST holder mates who made the trip and they couldn’t believe how poor we were and said one of the worst teams they’ve seen in years! We were lethargic, void of ideas and players were more interested in gobbing off at Cooper than running.
  6. What seriously makes you (others have said this too scarily on here). Look at his last 5 games, a scraped draw against a 10 man Ipswich. The players WEREN’T playing for him, that Chelsea performance for the whole 90 minutes was one of the worst professional performances I can remember in years. Look at the players holding up the “We miss you Enzo” signs in Copenhagen, we definitely don’t beat West Ham if he’s in charge…the rot was well and truly set.
  7. Agreed! Great pod and as others said it was almost cathartic listening. I stupidly tried listening to another LCFC pod (not mentioning names) and it actually wound me up, keep up the great work gents.
  8. I was potentially being flippant but the reality is we won’t have the luxury of draining the swamp as the majority won’t have offers that match our silly wages. However, resetting our wage structure, going back to the buy young and sell at a profit model is definitely the sensible approach which we know with our current board it won’t happen.
  9. Good. I know we all fear a pending points deduction and potential transfer embargo but so sick of seeing those names trot out on OTT wages bottle 50/50’s, point and moan at others when they played a part in the 5hit show defending. Drain the swamp after last season all we did was move on the sellable assets and kept the undesirables quite frankly.
  10. Or look at it this way, the back 4 of Faes, Vestergaard, JJ and Kristiansen were all at the club in our relegation season. Whether they started ahead of an injured Evans or crock of 5rap Amartey is neither here nor there. They weren’t good enough to keep us up, as a defensive line two years ago, so not drastically improving it was beyond moronic.
  11. Southampton showing a bit of fight, depressing that I’m jealous of such a simple yet important characteristic that we’re currently lacking.
  12. Totally agree. It’s ok for us to admit that they’ve both been awful appointments but Cooper’s will have a longer lasting impact sadly.
  13. The players definitely weren’t playing for Cooper before he got the boot. Some of the revisionism on here is top level.
  14. Such a hideous bunch of overpaid, unlikeable group of individuals we have collected. I can’t shake the opinion that they all play as individuals as someone like Winks is hugely guilty of that, more worried about his own pathetic and pointless stats like pass completion than taking the game by the scruff of the neck, busting his balls to bail out a teammate. Id say drain the swamp but know we’ll be left with the majority of the dossers.
  15. I’ll get shouted at saying this right now as Ruud’s the devil (Waterboy reference) but I took his comments that it was him who did the character checks. It even sounds like our scouts did minimal scouting and was clearly a recommendation from Enzo.
  16. Thomas Frank has been quoted numerous times saying “no dickheads” when scouting players. We seem the opposite and do little to no character analysis on our bunch of fcukwits. Easily one of the most unlikeable squads in the league.
  17. We also properly over exceeded our xG at that time. Now, we look so shot of confidence, Cooper played a part in that losing his last 4 in 5 FYI that we look toothless when have even a pretty decent chance.
  18. I honestly think that he looks good because our standards have dropped so far.
  19. Ayew, Skipp, Reid, Bilal (feel naughty putting him in this list) were all signed this summer when had minimal goal returns. The lack of goals in this starting 11 is shocking.
  20. Stayed clear of this thread but surely what is/isn’t said at HT needs to be reviewed? I know we were poor first half but why do we start the second half so poorly?
  21. I think it’s just not a very good optic though. Do a lame social media tweet after the game but considering our recent form particularly at home it will only add to the disconnect between the squad and fans.
  22. I think my interest in LCFC is at an all time low. Not sure if it’s the off field BS that has been mentioned so many times or the unlikeable squad of players that we have but something feels different.
  23. It isn’t hindsight when most on here stated in particular to Ayew and Skipp that they were poor signings considering our limited budget and unbalanced squad though. Imagine that money was spent on two unproven PL players like Bilal who could actually impact our starting 11? In the summer, we had a clear issue, an aging squad with minimal resale with PSR issues hanging over us…signing ALL three made zero business/logistical sense, that’s not hindsight.
  24. People have amnesia on here in terms of Cooper. No idea, players clearly weren’t having him and I’m not believing (like some on here) that he had zero involvement with Ayew, Skipp signings - I’m 100% sure they don’t sign if Enzo was still here.
  25. Praet’s body ultimately let him down whilst here. Watch back some of his clips with us, the lad had a good footballing brain and made some very intelligent runs (often without the ball). Skipp is the definition of a crab! I thought he might be decent but a lot of money, now I think he’s gash and a lot of money.
