I’m not going in on him too hard as only 19 but think we’ve all got a bit over excited about him compared to his actual impact in matches particularly in the high profile ones.

Momentum is a real thing and hate our little round of games. How overpaid this squad allegedly are compared to the other clubs though makes me hope we don’t bottle it as otherwise a flash sale would clearly have to happen. I’m hoping to come back to this post in a couple of months time and realise I was being OTT.

In a results business how long can anyone keep saying that though? Under Adams in the PL…that was our reality and got relegated. The defending for the first two goals was Sunday League, the finishing was even worse.

This 100% BUT away to Leeds is not the game for McAteer it would be suicidal to trust him in tomorrow’s environment. I don’t want to go OTT but the atmosphere tomorrow is all about our top players experience.

Replacing a very slow Vesteegaard with an almost as slow Maguire seems a bizarre suggestion. Raiding the European market for a cheaper but clearly talented Little Wes type player is the way to go.

I know there are people on here who will straight away know the answer but what’s our points gained from a losing position? It feels relatively low but that might be harsh just an observation as if we do hopefully get promoted we’d find ourselves chasing games a lot more and doesn’t feel like we’re great at this.

But how many sides have attacked us and not picked something up? The lack of actual defending that he’s done to suggest he wouldn’t be roasted week in/week out in the PL is a very alarming thing for me personally mate.

But he is the best quarterback in the Championship so worth a new contract if we get promoted 👀

It is crazy that there haven’t been more comments on this thread about his very good numbers this season. Top work KDH and even more impressive when consider he hasn’t had a no.8 partner also picking up similar numbers.

With FFP, him being an academy player makes him a very attractive asset to sale. Would be foolish not to take a nice wedge if offered surely? I’ve been surprised by his step up from a poor League Two loan as his recent measuring stick though so big props to him for that.

Akgun is a 6/7 out of 10 player for me. Not sure he ever becomes a starting 11 player. He’s clearly not fancied as a winger, isn’t physical/fit enough to play in the 8 role and can’t think of many teams that play an out and out 10 which he isn’t special enough to try to pigeon hole into.

Such a true point. Happy to ask a dumb question and not sure if you know mate or @coolhandfox but with the FFP rules being more apparent do those fees/bonuses count the same as transfer fees?

Good points to be fair mate. I do feel Kelechi’s time here though has been more miss than hit with his purple patch being when there were no fans. However can totally get what you’re saying so top reply 👍🏻

A massive fair play for the penalty BUT how fans seem to say things like “You can’t not love Kelechi” or manage to ignore his well below standard performances this season truly baffles me. I just have to call it out as haven’t been Daka’s biggest fan but when he has played this season we definitely look better (not glossing over some of his misses) but compare the two threads and the bias is night and day 🤷🏻‍♂️

I typically agree with most of your posts mate but do you not fear that Jannik’s pace/turning circle wouldn’t be a concern against strikers that are a class above what he’s faced this season?

There was a player somewhere in the midst of drawn out injuries/not being picked by Rodgers BUT how his time here has panned out is symbolic of the remaining “PL players”…out with a pathetic whimper.

Recent history suggests that our recent league positions for the past 10 or so years are that we had/have a better squad than Leeds though. I’m actually in agreement with 90% of what you replied with for the record and not commenting on our style of play/Enzo ball merely stating that any manager who inherited this squad has a luxury that not many Championship managers has ever found themselves in.

I’m not defending those fans but his comment about winning 26 games from 34 being “not easy” is where I think Enzo needs to refrain from. This starting 11 is bottom 6/8 PL standard at least. Our wage bill is huge and 95% of clubs in the Championship are dross. He did have a rotten mentality to deal with but just being a new voice helps with that in itself.

Not the prettiest of performances but was involved with the goals. Will he have better games? Definitely. Considering some of the love Kelechi gets on here….that wasn’t as bad a performance that Kelechi has delivered this season. He’s clearly Enzo’s first choice right now so getting prepared for more vitriol towards Patson.

It’s funny as true but so sad. There is a player in there but like so many of our recent players….mentally either checked out or awfully low standards. I know he’s missed a lot of football but his lack of ability to play professional football without blowing is alarming too.
