  1. Evans when fit, was night and day above Coady as a footballer. I don’t ever see any of Coady’s leadership pan out on the pitch.
  2. Exactly this. I have ZERO idea what Coady actually brings to the team.
  3. Thought so! Just wouldn’t expect his lack of wages being covered as some lame PSR excuse from our rudderless board.
  4. If it’s the end of his season….any idea if Sheffield United still have to pay his wages? (or whatever the loan agreement was)
  5. Look at our other strikers outside of Vardy in recent years, Kel, Cannon, Slimani, Musa…..the majority of them couldn’t press and in the modern game (1 striker up top) it’s quite an important trait. I’m not saying Daka is a world beater but it’s not a coincidence that we actually had a style of play last night which hasn’t been the case for the majority of the season. I think Daka in the starting 11 currently is an upgrade on playing a lot of our other forward/wide options.
  6. Faes might be that but he also thinks he’s like a prime Maldini with his inflated ego, so often overplays on top of his brain fart moments, I can’t stand the oaf. Cags’ Cruyff turn though when the last man was a thing of beauty….like you said, he would walk into our starting 11 and likely be one of the first 2/3 names on the team sheet.
  7. I can’t believe that I’m typing this (blaming the festive season) BUT I actually liked Daka a fair bit in the first half. Vardy is my favorite ever LCFC player but he can’t press anymore, we actually looked like a much more drilled (defending from the front) 11 with Daka up top. His mis kick is obviously a big stain on his performance but I’d like to see Daka get given more minutes even if we played him up top with Vardy.
  8. I see this comparison on here a bit too much. Cags was a level above. You don’t make the PL and Bundesliga Team of the Year if you’re Faes. Plus Cags was actually rapid whilst Faes thinks he is but is closer to Jannik in pace than Cags.
  9. This!!! Alves might not be half as good as we think/hope as fans. BUT I’m fed up with seeing the same dross get given minutes when you know they won’t influence this game or be game changers in future games.
  10. Ayew can barely move out there! What have we got to lose by bringing on Alves??
  11. Skipp was shocking for that offside goal. He’s only just come on so potentially not up to the speed of the game but he seems second to every ball the last few games.
  12. Wingers blow hot and cold, it’s sadly part and parcel of their game. However, Stephy blows cold 8/10 and his demeanour when “not at it” is shocking. I loved Klopp talking about mentality monsters, most of our current crop of players - Stephy epitomising it are mentality midgets. Ohhh, worth shouting out to @Ric Flair great pod bud!
  13. That’s a photo of nightmares mate 🤯
  14. JJ being better than bang average is a myth. He genuinely had a good 4/5 month period before getting injured but wasn’t good enough before that and has regressed even more since.
  15. I remember being laughed at when described this window as 1/10. Drain the swamp….that includes Top for me.
  16. It’s not even worth commenting on Ward at this point. BUT Ruud’s apparent lack of desire to start Facundo is a big red flag for me. Ayew 🤮🤮
  17. I have a few Barbour coats mate, feeling personally attacked 😘
  18. Great point but once again the difference between those three compared to say Ayew and Reid. Welbeck signed on an initial one year deal with triggers, Milner the same. Lallana was the only one not signed on that basis on a three year deal. A huge difference again between those three and Ayew and Reid is the obvious what experience they’d bring from a culture perspective and standards. One set had played for United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City. The other set have Bristol City, Fulham, Swansea and Palace.
  19. Great point we also though signed Reid, Ayew and Skipp that wouldn’t have been on their radar in the slightest. Then there is our mismanagement on contracts on a whole new inept level IMO.
  20. I have to disagree about not improving our first team currently. With Abdul out all season, we have very limited pace up top…..Almiron (currently has that). I am 100% in agreement about not wanting to sign the lad as we already have Ayew, Reid clogging up squad spaces but Almiron for 5 months is an upgrade on Ayew, Reid and McAteer. Trust me, I want the Brighton scouting (we even did it first with Walsh and Nige) but this season is solely about finishing 17th or above. For me, the bigger issue is our scouting/DoF set up seems too far removed from the Brighton model but that’s a different story.
  21. A bit confused as why anyone would say this is bad business on loan?! A transfer would be madness but if it means we’re sending Edouard back to Palace it’s a good bit of business.
  22. We were also at home against a local rival so in total agreement that the Forest performance/result was potentially worse. Winks looked great in the first half but that was about the only highlight for me from that game.
  23. Great post. The thing that really irks me about Hamza is how he was practically out of the door, on loan at Watford, one year contract extension triggered for what appeared to be us attempting to make a tiny bit of money on him. Fast forward a very short period of time, yes he had a few good games in the Championship (also a few not so good) yet we decide to offer him a deal mid way through the season….surely a business decision should have been made at the end of the season like it was with Kelechi, Wilf and Jannik etc.
  24. So you genuinely believe that we sign any of Reid, Ayew or Skipp if Enzo stayed?
  25. Ruud making 5 subs is still a positive considering how I can’t think of anything else to take from today. I hope the players have a proper rocket up them after today, potentially hyperbole but would describe today as an unprofessional performance.
