Does he actually do the churn though? A DM that does that would either have high numbers for tackles/ground duels or interceptions. Skipp from memory doesn’t stand out in either. It’s ok to admit that Skipp has been financially an awful signing. He doesn’t appear to be a douche like Winks, Faes and Jannik etc but he’s one of many reasons, as to why we have declined so much since Cooper.

Great shout. It’s another reason why I won’t ever get behind the sentiment, “they’ll be alright in League One” when talking about our overpaid dossers. I’m surprised there haven’t been more Jannik type agreements with some, can anyone genuinely see someone approaching us for Thomas, Reid etc.

Fair shout. The reality is, we’re a league one club with no future parachute payments, no sellable assets and an owner unwilling/unable to invest. We should cut out cloth accordingly and paying Braybrooke more than what someone like Hayden Hackney was on at Boro (allegedly on £7/10k per week) is madness.

Maybe I’m naive but Braybrooke demanding £20,000 when made less than 50 senior appearances in L2, seems hyperbole at best.

I normally agree with all of your posts but the bit re: comparing us to other League One clubs is unfair IMO. Of course you’d expect to get more money for players that only 24 months ago were about to start the season in the PL. As for Nelson, we’ve both stressed for sometime that he’s a good player with high potential and we should sell, due to him not signing a contract. However, accepting the first offer is an awful business model.

I am definitely harsh on everything LCFC but what has Reid shown to have the ability/desire to be brilliant? He’s below Cullen and Chaplin in the pecking order but likely taking home one of the biggest weekly salaries.

Reid is up there with one of my least favourite players left. He has zero redeeming qualities, I can put too much emphasis on athleticism but I think that my late Nan genuinely has a better kicking technique than Reid. Zero strength, walks around rather than has the ability to press and when the pressure was on, like the rest, he was heinous and some of his “misses” don’t get enough criticism on here IMO.

He’s looked like that for over two years TBF.

Hate to break up the Thomas chat in a McFarlane post 😉 But, any mention of whether McFarlane looked as rapid as rumoured at the open training session? The thought of having two athletic FB’s either side, actually excites me more than it should do.

I criticize the club (a lot) but getting a loan done relatively early, is an improvement on recent windows. I have no idea about the lad but competition for Thomas is another plus.
