  1. There’s just no words left to use about the KPFC lot anymore. The fanbase is what gives me the least hope for the future of this club. Absolutely pathetic and only a minority seem to understand football and actively want change and a positive future for the club. What happened to no one person being bigger than the club? As too many of our so called supporters, do just that with Aiyawatt. Hopefully if/when he f***s off, they will too as there will be nothing left for them.
  2. Not sure what the deal is with Betayeb. Looks like he is on loan at Troyes from a Moroccan club. But I can’t see when his contract there ends. But they are the type of markets to look at.
  3. Definitely. He’s had a rough few games, including when the team was doing better (Ipswich goal and at Hull) so nothing to do particularly is good!
  4. I understand and support those who won’t attend at all as a way of cutting off the finances to Aiyawatt in their own way. I also get people who go and do what you are saying, don’t buy anything else and express anger from the stands. To be fair, I always bought chocolate, drink etc even as a kid from the shop up on the corner near Filbert Street as much as anything because I didn't want to miss the game queuing down in the concourse. Anyway, neither is a wrong way of going about things. What I don’t get is those who blindly defend Aiyawatt and KP, attack those (as it sounds like happened last night) who vocally oppose what is happening to the club and are happy to support the continued decline. These people do what nobody should do and put one person above the club and these people are not supporters of the club and we would be better without them. But, whoever has organised this for next Monday is trying to do something and I respect that. I agree that with the amount of people in the group in my above paragraph, is it a tough ask to make a huge impact but as others have said, small steps. As such, I do really hope those that are unhappy but are on the fence due to feeling is it worth it, could do this for one game. There could be so many people in this position that it could be really effective. It’s like the election mentality of going for the least worst main party whereas if everyone blocked that out and did what they thought was right, a minority party with better intentions could do something. Not trying to influence and certainly not being aggressive, more appealing!
  5. Yep, I agree. I think some players by virtue of not showing any quality or having poor attitudes you can write off and move on. But sometimes, Jakub and Nelson are two, they are young and clearly have many qualities so you have to look at the coaching, mentality of those around etc. I’d rather we coach him than bin him off.
  6. Yeah I don’t have the answer. I do think it could be terminally damaging to him. But as with you, even as someone who likes him and wants him to do well, he is struggling and there’s no denying that. I’m not sure Ward-esque as he had made saves which Ward physically didn’t do. You could know that shots on target would match goals for the opposition. But a poor run of form all the same. Personally I think the team and coaching is the problem and he is struggling as a result. If you swapped him with one of the better performing keepers in the league, let’s say Coventry, I suspect Jakub would be flying and any keeper would struggle in our side with one of the worst defences in the league and probably the worst coached side in the league. I tend to think either back him or sell him.
  7. Maybe. Hard to tell as there are a lot of similarities between Chansiri and Aiyawatt so I have always assumed this is the way it would go. I don’t really know enough about Blackburn’s situation as to why it is continuing. Obviously they have managed to run the club down without causing serious financial offences and risking deductions or administration etc. But I am not sure of the detail as to why they haven’t been forced out. But I’d imagine our fan base being so passive would risk a more drawn out decline rather than being active like Wednesday were.
  8. Probably better off in a way having a Sheff Weds situation where it all blows up quick quickly and results in change, even if that is via points deductions and administration (administration where a takeover happens and not liquidation). As opposed to the club being chipped away at in the same way as Blackburn that goes under the radar quite a bit.
  9. I said not MUCH bargaining power, not none. We don’t know what conversations are taking place behind the scenes with agents. Maybe a new contract will be announced any time. Maybe Nelson and his party have made intentions clear to leave. Given he has had a few injuries, I would personally think he would be looking to get tied into a long term contract so I find it odd that if both parties were committed, nothing has happened yet as 18 months is most definitely in the territory of ‘future planning’ in terms of contact running down, even though yes, it seems a long time. My point is, and I don’t know why you are arguing it as player power is key these days, if, and I say if, the player has made intentions not to sign a new contract clear, this puts us in a position where we have to cash in over the next couple of windows or lose him for free in 2027. So no, we don’t have to sell him for any fee. But is it worth losing him for free subject to the contract situation? In that scenario, we likely would get bent over by PL vultures, knowing the position. Then again, our MO as a club would probably be the let him go on a free option, given how we are run nowadays….
  10. Alright. Chill the f*** out! It tells us AI is a pile of shit which personally, I find quite reassuring. Even given such clear parameters it still can’t get it right. Essentially, I am sick of seeing people justify the current situation as ‘our natural level’ which is BS. I wanted a quick way, as I have better things to do than trawl through every season (even though I’d probably find that quite interesting if I had the time) to know how bad a season has to be to rank in the top 10. We obviously know the 2005-2009 era including the 1st place in the third tier of some of those. I admit I lost my will with it given the shit it was giving me initially. It’s a forum. Get a grip.
  11. Correct. And regarding Fatawu, as well as the longer contract, there are factors like needing to cover amortisation before profit, being an attacking player commanding more etc which would mean we would genuinely ask for a large fee that could put off other clubs. Nelson’s situation is very different and not comparable. I am not saying he definitely goes in January. Purely that if a Palace or Bournemouth etc want him, we will not have much power to stand in their way.
  12. It’s not hard to understand that players in the last 18 months of their contract will be those who potential suitors have eyes on. It’s not hard to understand that if Nelson agent has had contact, there is likely a reason he hasn’t signed a new deal. I normally agree with things you post but I think you are way off with this confidence we can keep our younger players from PL sides if they want them.
  13. 18 months left in his contract. Club in financial turmoil. We have no bargaining power. It really won’t take a lot. Or clubs will just wait until he has a year left in the summer.
  14. I’m not sure why it said bottom actually but I should have removed that. I think it was confused with 22 team leagues in the past . But yes I was away we were third bottom that season. I just wanted to gauge what a bad finish in the context of our history looked like and I think it makes the point even if the were a couple of inaccuracies. The overall position for that season is correct.
  15. Go on then? I can’t speak to the 1960’s etc but the top batch from the mid 00’s look correct definitely.
  16. Don’t worry, he’ll be gone in the next 18 months if not sooner! Let’s give Vesty and Faes new contracts whilst at it…
  17. I thought that one looked a bit dodgy but didn’t double check. I was losing my will with ChatGPT by then . As I say, AI not taking over just yet! But it does illustrate a valid point as to where out level is and what is considered inappropriately poor. Clearly bottom third of the second tier is historically without out 10 worst placements and even then with much limited resources. We should not be in that area of the pyramid.
  18. Harsh on the tea lady and groundsman
  19. I expect so. Which is why I think, pound for pound, this is the biggest failing in the clubs history. Even if we have had worse sides or worse football. And it is a very realistic possibility that we push our top 10 worse finishes with this squad. Certainly with a deduction we would.
  20. Impartiality works both ways to be fair. For example, opposition fans like that QPR fan last week are impartial in that they are observing from the side without a connection to Leicester City but he was able to point out the shambles we are. I personally don’t think asking some tough questions, or pointing out where a spade is a spade so to speak, is not impartial. It would just be balanced.
  21. I don’t know about this ‘drop him to take him out the firing line for a bit’. Goalkeeper is a different beast. It’s much easier to do this with an attacking player or you know, central midfield, even a full back. The type of position that get regular in game changes so you can put the player on the bench and still give him minutes, rather than remove him fully. With a goalkeeper, if you take him out now, given this seems like a crisis of confidence given he has shown talent, probably finishes him off. For me, it’s a question of whether we see a future for him at all. If we remove him now, he has to be sold. Otherwise, coach him, improve him and let him work through this. As others have said, whether in the stands or on here, it’s disappointing to see fans turning on a player in his first proper season, rather than where the anger should be directed. We should give our backing to the young players like Stolarcryk and Nelson as at least they represent assets for the club. Returning to Begovic is even more short term thinking for a non-guaranteed improvement.
  22. For me, we are heading into the darkest era this club has had. We may have had worse on the face of it on the pitch (such as 2005-2008 when eventually relegated). And of course, administration which is round the corner again. But as others have said, context. Pound for pound, the transfer fees spent, the wages paid out to these players, this is next level stuff. It’s not about just expectations from where we were a few years ago, it’s the actually cost associated with this squad. And I have seen a few posts further up this thread that elude to the ‘little old Leicester’ mentality. Those who have referenced this being our level. No. We have the record for number of second tier titles won and our history indicates a relatively equal (weighted a bit more to second tier) balance between seasons in the top flight and second tier. Our natural position has never been in the bottom half of the second tier. That has been in our worse eras, again, 2005-2008. This is a list of our 10 lowest finishes in the pyramid. I think it is accurate but pulling it together did show that we don’t have to worry about AI taking over just yet! 1️⃣ 2008–09 League One (Tier 3) – 1st Overall position: 45th Lowest point in club history (despite promotion) 2️⃣ 2007–08 Championship – 22nd (bottom) Overall position: 44th Relegated to League One 3️⃣ 2006–07 Championship – 20th Overall position: 42nd Relegation fight season 4️⃣ 2005–06 Championship – 16th Overall position: 38th Start of the prolonged decline 5️⃣ 2000–01 First Division (Tier 2) – 20th (22-team league) Overall position: 42nd Very poor season after Premier League relegation 6️⃣ 1990–91 Second Division (Tier 2) – 19th (22 teams) Overall position: 41st 7️⃣ 1987–88 Second Division – 18th Overall position: 40th 8️⃣ 1983–84 Second Division – 18th Overall position: 40th 9️⃣ 1977–78 Second Division – 18th Overall position: 40th 🔟 1968–69 Second Division – 17th Overall position: 39th After yesterday, we sit 34th by this measure of the overall pyramid. The detachment between the club and fans and lack of light at the end of the tunnel is also like nothing I have ever experienced (supporter since around 2002 when admin happened but was only 8 then).
  23. I am positive of League 1 and eventual administration and have been saying this for some time. I don’t know if on the pitch, we dip down to League 2. My guy say not. And I don’t think we go out of business, I.e phoenix club and starting in the regional leagues etc. But administration and League 1 are a certainty at this point, at which stage administrators would force him to sell.
  24. 5 in 8….. And people laughed at the prospect and suggested he wouldn’t be better than we had.
  25. I get you. Obviously it was a question of who you’d keep so Aluko, Page, Monga and Evans would be keeps. I think Nelson is more established than the other already. I also wouldn’t class them as starters and the new signings would need to be of quality the youngsters have a place in the squad. Thomas is fortunate I mentioned him. If we could bring 2 better LBs I would. I think it’s unrealistic.
