And yet the ones who can’t tell the difference, generally chuck out the arbitrary 50 years supporting etc etc. If you’d actually supported the club that long, you’d think you’d be familiar with the values and culture that made the club what it was. Definitely cult behaviour. This is a definition I put on the KP Out thread earlier. Scarily accurate right? A cult is a group or movement organized around intense devotion to a person, ideology, or goal that demands extreme loyalty and obedience, controls information, discourages questioning, and prioritizes allegiance to its leadership or beliefs over the autonomy and well-being of its members

Possibly both! Definitely cult.

This is the correct answer. Nigel wouldn’t suffer people without integrity and professionalism. I can’t imagine he would have much positive to say about Aiyawatt or Rudkin like he would of Vichai and Whelan. You can tell a lot from what someone with these qualities like Nigel has to say. N.b - short breaks in showing professionalism are acceptable in the following cases; - Holding opponents down by the neck for short periods of time. - Verbally assaulting journalists. They tend to ask for it.

I’m reluctant to be too hard on Jakub. He is young in GK terms and in his first proper season as first choice. The data shows that he is among the top performing GKs in the league for shot stopping and he is good at commanding his area and dealing with crosses. Clearly he’s made a few errors recently. None have cost us points that I can think of (for example Ipswich the game was won and yesterday we were out of it without his input). The defence he is behind is awful (Nelson aside who had a poor game yesterday) and the environment is toxic. The irony is, people calling him L2 level, for him to be binned off etc and pointing to Iverson and Johansson were likely the ones who over reacted about them too and called Iverson non-league/shit etc. Weren’t championing them two at the time were you? If Stolarcryk got binned, the likelihood is, he’d go on to perform excellently elsewhere whilst we bring some absolute dross in to replace him. Those over reacting now would then no doubt be bemoaning that we let Stolarcryk go and brining xxx in…

I think this is likely true and your final paragraph with the things that have happened since add weight. Was she pushing back on these? What I don’t get is KP foot solider defend Aiyawatt keeping Rudkin around as he was Vichai’s appointment and loyalty etc etc blah blah. But I believe Vichai was even more tied to Susan? Didn’t their relationship pre-date LCFC whereas Rudkin was just a brown nose who get in the right place at the right time when they were at the club. Maybe Aiyawatt actually sees Rudkin as his guy whereas Susan was Vichai’s choice. Which would suggest Aiyawatt doesn’t care much for his dads loyalties after all.

It’s not even about brain cells which is the scary thing as thick is easy to deal with. I’d wager there are people who blindly back Aiyawatt and KP who are extremely intelligent and sensible in their regular person and working lives. It is textbook cult behaviour. What about the below definition does not sound like KP foot soldier behaviour? A cult is a group or movement organized around intense devotion to a person, ideology, or goal that demands extreme loyalty and obedience, controls information, discourages questioning, and prioritizes allegiance to its leadership or beliefs over the autonomy and well-being of its members.

We know what happens from here… Well done Aiyawatt. First sign we might be putting a run of results together and settling into some decent performances and you go and f*** it up by being a t***.

If the team goes to shit after improving recently due to the negativity seeping through from off the field then he is absolutely responsible. None of the players nor Cifuentes are getting any criticism from me today, no matter what happens.
-
I’m also think we are going to see the result of this off the field negativity on the pitch today. Whilst we have been building something over the games last week, it’s all very fragile. If we lose today, it is all on Aiyawatt (even more than it is anyway).

About 20 odd pages on the King Power out thread by the sounds of it

Go on, which pages have you be active on

Coventry are having pretty much one of the best seasons in their history to be fair whereas until we pushed up the table last week, and were sitting in 16th, it was highlighted that if the season ended there, it’d be in our top 10 worst league finishes in our history. Coupled with everything else, how the club is treating fan, it’s hardly surprising. We have plenty of fans who are passionate about this club who are staying away out of principle and to make a point.

Mike Ashley would be fine for the vast majority of professional clubs. He is a good business man and at least understands football. Yes he didn’t invest in Newcastle to anywhere near the level their fans wanted but generally, he would offer stability in that he won’t take on something that doesn’t make decent business sense. For Wednesday and what they have gone through, they’ll be relatively happy for some stability.

I wasn’t being condescending at all. As I have stated, I have worked closely with families who have spent over their means and get into debt over Christmas. So my point of view comes from a much more genuine and experienced point of view than many. The comment about holding the finances back was in response to the other post where the poster said they bring their bills forward. So it was an interesting point as I had considered it to be people who would spend above their means but it introduced an interesting scenario where people just bring payments forward to get it out their accounts. But the point about hand to mouth still stand. Ultimately, whether you get paid for December on the 19th or 31st, that covers your bills and spending for January. So if people are relying on early pay to make ends meet, there are bigger concerns at play (per the support I used to provide people to help them get their finances on track). I have consistently stated that regardless of any other factors, the rest of which is just debate about personal finances, making a commitment and going back on it less than 24 hour before is completely unacceptable and a disgrace. I can’t stand Aiyawatt and KP and want them out of this club and this is a further embarrassment.
-
Yeah definitely. I have consistently said it should be condemned and understand people situations are different. I guess my point way, due to my previous line of work, my mind goes to people spending over their means etc, so was acknowledging that your point was an interesting one as it introduces another side, where people are spending within their means but have made chances accordingly 👍
-
Interesting. That has always seemed like too much effort for us so my wife and I get paid on Monday but as far as we are concerned, that in January’s money and we don’t touch it until bill go out and we are into January. It’s the same reason I have never bought into the ‘long January’ thing as you get paid the same amount each month and it’s a case of budgeting. So whilst I condemn the clubs actions and wonder why they can’t manage to make the payment etc, I have said from previous work in the social housing sector, it always concerns me if people are using essentially January’s salary and spending this in December because what about January? But my concern there comes more from personal experience of people who would spend January’s rent on Christmas and then be in arrears and debt as a result. I hadn’t considered people would just bring bills forward to be fair. Presumably you could get any charges from the bank overturned by evidencing your employer were t**ts?
-
It’s perhaps giving the clowns too much credits. And either way, there are better ways to achieve it. Voluntary severance without playing games would be more tasteful. I think it is more concerning about what this means and what happens over the coming months. The short notice shows communication hasn’t improved. If staff had been told this would be the case from next year, would that have been accepted? Who knows. But going back on commitments within 24 hours notice is awful, regardless of whether people should or shouldn’t have been relying upon that pay for Christmas.
-
Could it be linked? I.e piss people off so some leave, and not replaced through vacancy management, but avoiding the need to make compulsory redundancies? Whilst bringing staff numbers down.
-
Tin pot club. Embarrassing

Exactly. When I and others have made references to Wednesday in recent times, I have said the same that it started somewhere so nobody is saying we are there yet but it’s at the early stages. I did reference the concern about people not managing until the end of the month above but that is in no way a defence of the club. I am venomously against this ownership and want them out. They are a disgrace. My comment was completely separate and based on a previous line of work within social housing, seeing children made homeless due to parents not budgeting including overspending at Christmas, causing them to be in debt and not paying bills. It’s something that will always trigger me. But you can’t reference that without making the point that just like an employee has a salary and can budget this over the year, the employer, in this case the club, also knows their commitments and should budget for paying this. So why, does it matter to the club whether they paid it today (19th) or in a week and a half? If that’s cash flow like you say, then that’s majorly concerning and most definitely firmly on the Wednesday path. If it’s cash flow, I would say the fact it is Christmas and a case of the early pay date being pushed pack could prove to be a coincidence and that it is likely this starts happening to staff regular pay days throughout the year (as per Wednesday). It seems like just the start anyway….
-
I’ve never really got the early pay in December. It creates the traditional difficulties people have in January with longer between pay. I used to get paid 18th of each month and much preferred that. If you are relying on Decembers pay coming early to manage Christmas, by definition that is a concerning for January. But that’s a general musing not related to Leicester. Telling people one thing and retracting it with less than a days notice is extremely poor form. I get the comparisons to Chansiri and Wednesday in that once an employer becomes unreliable with paying staff for the first time, it could easily be a slippery slope.

There’s plenty of places to rightly slate KP for their destruction of the club. I am one of their biggest critics. However, this is a player thread. And one who looks to be improving and gaining confidence. It feels like the need to post about him being in the top 5 worst signings, causing a debate about worst signings is just looking for negativity for negativity’s sake. We all think we overpaid for Skipp. But he is an honest and hard working, quite likeable player who is now showing some good ability at this level at least. Like it or not, he is under contract until 2029. We need him to keep up and build on this form further in our own interests. Whether this is that he helps us back to the PL or even a financially beneficial sale down the line. So we are better off getting behind him rather than bringing negativity back into it when the conversation around Skipp has been becoming more positive.
-
Too early to be throwing labels like top 5 worst etc about. We all know we overpaid. We know until recent weeks he hasn’t done much. However, recently, with Winks out the picture, he hasn’t been looking very good alongside James. All hypothetical but let’s say he is integral in the remainder of this season and we ended up in the playoffs and won them. Straight away, whilst the transfer fee is still a big issue, he will have contributed strongly. Then it’s what happens after that. Or he might return to being crap, we finish bottom half of the Championship and go on a 2004-2008 type era and yes, he is considered in that bracket. Point being, we have had a number of signings who have contributed nothing for significant fees. Soumare, Daka, Silva come to mind. Slimani cost a lot but at least got a few goals in the CL. Ward was so so costly. Faes I would put as a worse signing. Not to mention some of the others in the list above that yes, didn’t cost as much (Ghezzal, Benkovic, Kapuska) but didn’t contribute anything to us. And if we are criticising the timing of the Skipp transfer, being newly promoted, what about the timing of a number of these mentioned above when we were in a strong position and pissed it away.
-
@coolhandfox this is what I was going to say to your comment on my post. I was surprised how many people justified his exclusion from the team and for so long, based on the Huddersfield game and people saying Faes and Vestergaard had done well before and doing well and Oxford isn’t the same as playing for us etc. Im sure there’s a few who are pretending they were always in favour now they are looking foolish mind. My original point was, Nelson took ages to get in the side and there was very little calling from fans to include him. Applying this to Braybrooke, this would be equivalent to him needing to jump up to L1, excel at that level and for us to get relegated to be in the equivalent position Nelson was in, I.e excelled at the level we then found ourselves at. And he still had a job of it. So I think Braybrooke has a hell of a job on to be integral to our side next season to be honest. Not because he isn’t good enough, but because this club and too many of the fans have an obsession with experience in this league (or respective league we are in).
-
In fairness, Nelson smashed it in the Championship last season and the usual suspects you refer to still wanted Faes to play over him. So honestly, I don’t think Braybrooke has a chance of being ‘accepted’ into our side next season regardless of where he spends the second half of this season. By the usual suspects of course.
