Obviously depends on if it’s the PL or not and VAR but as this does apply to the PL, is it wrong to expect perfection from them when they have video replays available? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c2dn9lkp0e5o

This is absolutely shocking https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c77d06vde4po Kids as young as 4 with knives in schools. They don’t stand a chance in life. I don’t know what the answer is. If social services take them and rehome them, they are probably too far gone anyway. Parents should be locked up.

Fair reply. From the outside, it was clear you needed a lot of work that first year, having come up unexpectedly and with a lot of loan players. 30 odd seemed excessive as you had players such as I think, Lewis O’Brien and Harry Toffolo who were signed and replaced within the same window. It looked like scattergun lack of planning. PSR, as I say, other clubs in the PL are doing it. It makes me laugh that Forest fans accuse us of cheating however. We were incompetent but I don’t believe there were intentions to cheat the system. The PSR stuff encourages loopholes though. Clattenberg thing, agreed. The Palace thing, I do think is hypocritical given it is revolving around Texor, the very guy who is pivotal to your own circumventing of PSR. I personally think that is more impactful than his involvement with Palace and prefer to see teams play in the competition they have earned. Yeah the Marikanas and Nuno thing was bad, particularly in light of the who Palace ownership stuff. Neville thing was petty but I guess amusing. I forget what he said now.

I’m starting to wonder if she has or has she been completely frozen out? I guess we won’t know.

Such heartfelt statements from first Vardy and now Nige is really a kick in the teeth for Rudkin and by extension Aiyawatt. I can’t imagine Nige has much time for Aiyawatt, seems more of a Vichai man, probably can’t stand entitled nepo babies!

I mean you’d think the same when it comes to Vestergaard/Faes and Nelson wouldn’t you!

Fast forward to next season, we are still in the Championship and Skipp is starting ahead of Braybrooke. Half of FoxesTalk are justifying this selection a Skipp brings experience and we need this to get promoted
-
League 1 loan for the second half of the season and a Championship loan next season is what Braybrooke needs.

I reckon more wages. I don’t buy that we couldn’t have managed £4mill spread across the contract length. I also think it’s unlikely we would have given a lack of assurances he would be used a lot given our other options. Wages seems more likely. He was only proven at L1 level and might have been asking for wages far higher than justified. It would give me confidence we are trying to sort things out if that was the case. We can’t have it both ways, complaining we can’t move players like Daka on due to wages and then moan we didn’t get someone else for that reason.
-
It would make sense. Unless it was a particularly specific scenario where he made it clear he wants to leave and a loan was the best way of maximising tribunal compensation. Still unusual for it not to be said, in a how long context.

Julián Carranza joins on loan - Official

Some players find a club that it just works at, likewise some can be good anywhere else and flop at a club. The evidence may say mediocre or not working is the most likely outcome. But is there any harm in giving the guy a few games to actually see rather than writing him off after a couple of sub appearances? What would a little support cost? -

Presumably any club with morales, and owned by non-Americans, could refuse to do this? -
Goals 3-5 are as good to be fair. The first two shouldn’t be there. Burstow on the first, that’s a really heavy chop back that really should have meant losing control of the ball but the defending was poor which enabled him to get the shot off. Second one is unintentional as mentioned.
-
How the hell do you know Thomas would get destroyed against Fatawu . It’s not evidence based, just negativity based on your clear agenda against Thomas. How have I got blue tinted specs on? I have said he is average, but that he is an ok Championship player and no more no less. I have said there are not 20 sides he wouldn’t get into in this league. If you disagree then it’s up to you to evidence which 20 sides he wouldn’t get into if he is rubbish enough to be no more than relegation standard in this league or League 1. As for the Salah comment, you said he would get absolutely destroyed by Fatawu being the best right winger in this league but apparently the rest of the left backs in this league do a great job on him (without any evidence). But an example of when Thomas has done well against the best right winger (at the time) in the PL is suiting my agenda?
-
A deer in headlights like he was on more than 1 occasion when he kept Salah quiet? You’re changing the goalposts. You indicated there were 20 better left back/sides he wouldn’t get into. Now you’re giving others a pass because they haven’t been against Fatawu! He’s an ok championship player. No great, not awful and relegation/league 1 standard. I can’t stand when people make atupid exaggerated comments to fit agendas against certain players.
-
I’m making the point that saying he is league 1 standard or relegation standard implies there are 21 better left backs in this league or if you want to put it another way, there must be 20/21 clubs in this league for who Thomas couldn’t get into the side for. Both those things are over exaggerated hyperbole based on the bashing he constantly receives. He is limited, I don’t think he is best suited for what Marti wants from a full back, but he is adequate quality wise for this league. There’s a couple such as Leif Davis and Harrison Burrows that I thought would be the stand outs but particularly Sheff Utd are struggling massively and Ipswich aren’t doing great. The only stand out I have noticed is Small at Preston. Coventry are on fire but Dasilva their left back really struggled against us and was booked. Matt Targett? Ryan Manning? Aaron Creswell? These are all other left back options in this league.
-
Genuine question here as I am interested in the perspective from a balanced and decent Forest supporter in yourself who can come on here and have a good debate. When you say about EM getting things right, on the surface, I can see why you guy back him as he has been in charge as you made it back to (and stayed in) the PL for the first time since the 90’s. But how do you honestly feel about things like; 1. Signing 30 odd players in window (the throw shit until it sticks method). 2. The dodgy 3 ways dealings with Lyon and Botofogo, as a way of inflating your PSR position (very aware you are not the only team involved in this). 3. Hiring Clattenberg as a ref consultant. 4. The campaign to get Palace kicked out the EL.

Swansea 1-3 LCFC, post match thread
LCFCJohn replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
It’s not just lack of pace. The goal he gave away against Wrexham wasn’t lack of pace. He is weak, he gets outmuscled by kids half his size. Also an intelligent defender compensates for lack of pace with awareness and strong positioning but he isn’t good in these area either. -
If this is the case, you should have no problem naming the 21 better left backs in this league then?
-
How does this work? Surely if he has no contract, he can walk in the summer if he wants? You make it sounds like he hasn’t a choice in the matter.
-
Up to the player as well though. I didn’t realise his contract ended in 2026 until you said. But often, you see players go on loan with an announcement of a contract extension at the parent club. It makes me wonder why that hasn’t happened with Cartwright. Did the club not deem him good enough? Had the player indicated he isn’t keen? If so, it would make sense to loan him than keep him in the u21’s from a maximising compensation from tribunal point of view.
-
According to transfer market, he is both on loan at Falkirk and contract here expires 30/06/25. You’d imagine if both parties wanted to extend if would have happened. He’d be a number of years from getting a look in with us (if at all), so he might find a move to the EFL somewhere more appealing.
-
In our case, it does back up the visuals for this season to be fair.
-
To be fair, our fan base was similarly against the appointment of Cooper from the outset but it don’t stop your lot chiming in I think you have to trust a fan base to know more about their own team than the media/other fans do. Like when we sacked Ranieri. Nobody wanted it to have to happen but we could see where we were going. Player signings as well, fans often know. The season we went down to League 1, we had 3 permanent managers with two caretakers between and it didn’t help us as we were just a mess. It will be interesting to see how it unfolds anyway.
-
It’s not a good look for any club to be on a third manger by October though. You will be a laughing stock for other supporters. You will probably be shielded from criticism by the media as for some reason, Forest are media darlings. We have been in the position where our board have hung on to a manager, seemingly for fear of backlash (after when it happened with Ranieri) and we ended up going down from keeping Rodgers long. Anyway, Russel Martin is now free . Or bring Stevie Cooper back
