I work in transport and on 17 occasions in recent years I have had to attend as first response the sites of that amount of bodies hit by trains. It is traumatic to such a stage it has turned my life around for the worse. My whole life has been affected truthfully by those who have decided to use this method as a way to end their worries, trouble is it is now ruing mine. Iāve broken down before in the carpark at work, cried my eyes out and then called Samaritans as I didnāt know what else to do, and then gone home and seen the wife as if nothing is wrong. And there lies my problem. I hide things well. I know at times Iām a right ass at work short, angry and unapproachable at times, i know what im doing, i really want to pull myself out of it but then i sink back into deep bottomless pits of self doubt and loathing. Iāve had a program of EMDR and though some aspects helped it didnāt really do me any noticeable good. Again I did this at home under the guise of having an online work meeting, my wife to this day dosenāt know the true reason for those meetings. Don't get me wrong and judge me here, I attended my last fatality a couple of months back and Iāve been desensitised completely, that poor person laying there in pieces meant nothing to me and I was angry at them for exposing me to this incident and further affecting the way I feel, me, me, me How wrong is that. being at work fearing that call over the radio that there has been a fatality and that you need to attend is the most horrific sickening feeling you can ever get. But Iāll be there, Iāll be professional and nothing but respectful, however Iāve noticed changes in me. And I donāt know what I can do about it. I canāt give up work, too much else depends on it. I moved up here about 7yrs ago and I donāt have any friends up here just work colleagues and the wifeās family, so to be quite frank Iām handling this on my own, and the load is getting heavier. why the hell am I putting this on the internet, if thats not a cry for help.

Iām not in any way saying it is the councils responsibility I could have worded that better, but ultimately it then becomes their responsibility by default. And Iām one of those who volunteers and litter picks in my own area. Youāre absolutely right the issue is with those people who think it is wholly ok to litter. Itās disgusting but then, it now becomes the councils responsibility and theyāre broke.

Same for me, after living 54 years in the Watford area my dislike is aimed at that particular team, canāt say why just dislike the whole area. Should have got out earlier I guessā¦..my bad š¤·āāļø

I watched this on last eveningās news. She also stated that after visiting some of the poorer regions of the world that the litter in Leicester was worse than those regions. To be honest this isnāt just a recent storm issue, as Iāve walked along the river banks over the last few years the situation has been bad, maybe not as bad but bad all the same. Itās a shame as it really does look horrific in places. Council is broke so I guess it will just go onā¦.

Iād been 2 yrs on the railway and throughout the Euro96 tournament I was working on revenue at Wembley Central and Wembley stadium, I have never experienced an atmosphere like it the crowds and atmosphere were electric, loved El Tel, he had such a fun element about him that Iāve not seen in any other England manager. My brother in law Terry even inherited the nick name El Tel that we still use to this day. Good times, great memories rest easy Terry thanks for those memories.

Yes it can be done in a station environment no issues, however the sidings at Knighton are not set up for passenger services.
-
Because the freight goes into the sidings at Knighton, it then detaches the loco from one end then does a manoeuvre to get back to the other end, recouples then heads towards Leicester. Not a manoeuvre that is done by passenger services due to time constraints and safety concerns.

As the IT guys say in my organisation. Shut it down and start it up again. Tonight was probably the kick in the pants everyone needed after the media blowing smoke up their asses the last few weeks. Itās early days, weāre in the best position anyone can be in, letās hope they learn, implement and move on. Long way to go
