Not just throwing more money at the problem. Getting a manager in who is giving opportunities to academy talent.
-
The past is done now, it's important to keep in mind the mistakes that have already been made but this is a first step towards a more stable future. If the same mistakes are repeated then he deserves the same criticism that was levelled at him before, time will tell.

There is hope that with the summer just gone that Top is learning.

Stolarczyk Hamza Okoli Vestergaard Ricardo Soumare James Fatawu Page Mavididi Ayew

Skipp and Soumare were great last game, as was Hamza at right back (and against Charlton, too). Cifuentes has made the right call here. You have to think about confidence and man management as well. Can’t change any of those 3 after their performances.
-
They’ve adjusted to the Championship like every team has to after relegation (despite a massive outlay last summer) and bought mostly rubbish this summer.
-
Northampton is the same.
-
So they're going from counter attacking football to all out attack? Ange didn't deal well with the fixture pile up last season domestically, Forest are putting their Premier League status in a precarious position with this move.
-
They may have made a profit this summer but Ipswich spent £100m in the Premier League so they probably had to cover some of that from last summer.

Wout Faes (Besiktas interest, Fabrizio Romano)

Usually clubs agree personal terms with players via the agent before negotiating with club to make sure they can actually get the player to sign. Personal terms are rarely drawn out in comparison to club to club negations over transfer fees. -
Exactly. Look at Oscar Bobb’s development alongside a big injury. Different levels, but I think that’s the patience we need with Alves.
-
Why do you hate to say it? Surely it’s a good thing you think the business looks good on paper

Cooper for me. He was handed the blue print to success by Enzo and put us another 2 years behind minimum by coming in and changing it straight away. All we needed to do was upgrade in a few positions by adding some quality and physicality to cope with the Premier League whilst keeping the shape the same. Was so obvious.

Maybe because Bilal's already worn it in a Championship game this season? Not sure if two players can wear the same number in the same season.

He should be one of the first names on the team sheet -

I'd keep Winks. He'll be needed for rotation with/to cover any injuries to Soumare when the fixtures pile up. I don't think Skipp and James can do that role.
-
I;d rather have all 4. Soumare and Winks are playing for the same position/role and Skipp/James are playing for the other one.
-
I've been impressed with Okoli so far this season - I think him and Vestergaard is our partnership for the foreseeable this season.
-
Ramsey is the only one who’s completed 90 minutes out of the new signings this season. If any of them start then I think it’s likely to just be him as a straight swap for Page. I’m not sure the other two are going to be up to speed to go straight in.
-
Ramsey and James feel very much like ‘Leicester signings’. Something that can’t be said about a lot of players we’ve signed in recent years.
-
Even then Thomas and VK is good for this level
-
You’re overestimating the quality of the division if you think Soumare and Skipp isn’t a strong double pivot for this level.
-
I think nearly every team in the league would swap their midfield options for ours.
