  1. They may have made a profit this summer but Ipswich spent £100m in the Premier League so they probably had to cover some of that from last summer.
  2. Usually clubs agree personal terms with players via the agent before negotiating with club to make sure they can actually get the player to sign. Personal terms are rarely drawn out in comparison to club to club negations over transfer fees.
  3. Exactly. Look at Oscar Bobb’s development alongside a big injury. Different levels, but I think that’s the patience we need with Alves.
  4. Why do you hate to say it? Surely it’s a good thing you think the business looks good on paper
  5. Cooper for me. He was handed the blue print to success by Enzo and put us another 2 years behind minimum by coming in and changing it straight away. All we needed to do was upgrade in a few positions by adding some quality and physicality to cope with the Premier League whilst keeping the shape the same. Was so obvious.
  6. Maybe because Bilal's already worn it in a Championship game this season? Not sure if two players can wear the same number in the same season.
  7. He should be one of the first names on the team sheet
  8. Schmeichel Ricardo Fofana Evans Fuchs Kante Tielemans Cambiasso Mahrez Maddison Vardy
  9. James 6 Ramsey 11 Carranza 19
  10. I'd keep Winks. He'll be needed for rotation with/to cover any injuries to Soumare when the fixtures pile up. I don't think Skipp and James can do that role.
  11. I;d rather have all 4. Soumare and Winks are playing for the same position/role and Skipp/James are playing for the other one.
  12. I've been impressed with Okoli so far this season - I think him and Vestergaard is our partnership for the foreseeable this season.
  13. Ramsey is the only one who’s completed 90 minutes out of the new signings this season. If any of them start then I think it’s likely to just be him as a straight swap for Page. I’m not sure the other two are going to be up to speed to go straight in.
  14. Ramsey and James feel very much like ‘Leicester signings’. Something that can’t be said about a lot of players we’ve signed in recent years.
  15. Even then Thomas and VK is good for this level
  16. You’re overestimating the quality of the division if you think Soumare and Skipp isn’t a strong double pivot for this level.
  17. I think nearly every team in the league would swap their midfield options for ours.
  18. Sky’s ticker has said he will join us. They usually only word things like that if they’re certain so I’m expecting this to be announced later.
  19. All of the Argentine players we’ve had have been good so on that logic this guy will be a star.
  20. Apart from the foot injury in 19/20, looks like the standard injuries that you pick up just by nature as a footballer.
  21. I'd say it's the least exciting summer window, but not the worst. I think our actions have been quite necessary and measured, for once.
  22. I'm not surprised with how this has played out - it seems to be a cultural thing that French/Belgium footballers seem to be so career driven and will go to certain extents to make sure they get a move. So many examples of players from that part of the world that down tools.
  23. I’ve always liked him, personally.
  24. He'd be a bigger loss than most expect. Quite comfortably our best centre midfielder
  25. I thought he was neat and tidy last night, held the ball up well and had quick feet to get out of a few tight situations (basically all the usual stuff he’s good at) but offered little goal threat as a 9 (again, the usual). I don’t think last nights performance told us anything we don’t already know about Ayew.
