Just not really been in the game, nothing major. Probably just good to give both him and Page a half each.
-
Exactly, any team they’re likely to go out on loan to is either already out or got one or two more games in the competition at the very most.
-
Yeah to be fair you’re right there

He’s never really been deployed how he should be here. His best form for Lille came when Benjamin Andre was the deeper midfielder being the aggressive ball winner. Soumare didn’t have as much defensive responsibility in that system, and was allowed to progress the ball through his dribbling or short passing. We saw under Rodgers he’s not a 6 and in Cifuentes system he seems to be the player he wants there. I’d rather have Winks in that role, problem is then a duo of Soumare and Winks has very, very little defensive quality.
-
Depends on how our PSR situation looks next summer. We aren’t broke, it’s just whether we’re allowed to spend the money or not.
-
Where does everyone think Winks is going to go? He’s tidy but not an attractive asset to buy from us
-
Maybe a bit of anger he wasn’t afforded the chance to have an impact last season still lingering. Proving yourself right can be bitter sweet.

Mavididi, Monga, Fatawu and McAteer will benefit greatly from this system creating 1 v 1s.
-
Might be an unpopular opinion but if I was Newcastle or Man United I definitely would have tried to get Darwin Nunez this summer. Maybe Liverpool wouldn’t let him go to another Premier League side but think he’s wasted in Saudi. I get all the jokes about him not being clinical but if it clicks for him he could be deadly.

What a terrible goal to concede. Header straight through the centre of the pitch.

Demarai Gray and George Hirst goals 1-1 draw. Leicester dominate the league again.

Anyone else think Kyogo will flop? (Hat-trick incoming)

Can they both lose?

Would have liked a bit more but when you consider that Trafford went for £27m and he’s considered a bigger talent, been bought from a PL club and English tax too we’ve probably ended up receiving market value for Mads.
-
Think any announcement on it should be once he’s retired.
-
Simplistic but I can't see anything other than the 3 that come down being the best 3, then you'll have Sheff United nailed on for play-offs with about 4-5 teams being strong after that (Coventry, Millwall, Norwich all included in that).

Hermansen Choudhury Okoli Nelson Thomas Winks Soumare Fatawu El Khannouss Mavididi Ayew

At least one of them will likely always be on the pitch, they're first and second choice right back if JJ goes.
-
Indeed, but the people above him shouldn't have signed off on them. For too long our transfers have been too heavily dictated by the manager's choices rather than having an approach driven by data/the style of play the club wants to achieve.

Sanchez’s performances at the CWC I think have reaffirmed Maresca’s position on him. I think Maresca rates him highly.
-
Lost quite a few players from last season now. Souttar, Choudhury, Vini Souza, Moore, Brewster..
-
I’m quite confident that Thomas and McAteer will both go on to be very solid Premier League players as they get into their mid to late 20s. Look at lots of the players we won the league with and how their career’s didn’t take off until they got into their prime.

Josh Brownhill in on a free now to be the box to box CM in the starting 11.
