He should definitely be considered and would be a good fit for what we need now. He is a strong leader who galvanises his group of players and is tactically astute. I think he could provide that Pearson shake up and restructure that the club needs. He would have us scoring from set pieces again and we could bin the ineffective set piece coach. Whether he gets the job or not who knows? There are other good candidates being mentioned on the forum all with good pros and cons.

The last manager we kept after relegation from the Premier League was Micky Adams and I felt that he earned that chance. But he was gone by October after resigning. It was a sad end to his tenure with lots of ‘you don’t know what you’re doing’ chants etc. We all know the absolute dogshit years that followed. RVN hasn’t earned this and we could be repeating the same mistake if we don’t cull him.
