Back in June moore_94 said how long before someone sticks 3 or more past us? Didn’t last long did it? If we do bin him off then Hourihane could step in couldn’t he? Managed Barnsley last season. The worst thing about Martins appointment is that we as fans could all see how this car crash would play out yet Rudkin and Top still went for it. Stinks of sabotage!

Just announced he’s signed

Bristric over Reid all day long for me. Happy he seems to have found his captain for the season in Chaplin.

We will definitely have to out score teams to win games this season. It’s reflected in Martins teams managed managerial statistics, currently standing at GF 391 and GA 391.

We looked better with Riley Carr, Lorenz Hutchinson, Tommy Neale and Otchere up top. I understand they only played in friendly matches but each one was a willing runner and Carr and Hutchinson have pace to burn. Overlooking our promising youngsters in favour of loan signings and of the same age is pretty damning and further damages his reputation. I don’t want the bloke to fail but taking off your number 9 and replacing him with BDCR shows how little he knows about In game management especially with the wingers he brought on. Absolute guff and hot air he spouted about him being tired. He had just tracked back 30 yards and put in a good tackle before being subbed. Plus Burton were tiring. Unless Martin adapts pretty quickly then I’m afraid he won’t make the end of September and I wonder whether Conor Hourihane will step up to replace him.

Without doubt this is the worst! Back in the day there was always a bit of hope of a decent performance or nicking a result at Filbert Street.

I thought he did okay today. Utter nonsense that Martin was spouting about taking him off and looking tired and short of match fitness. I’d have been fuming if I was him as Howell and Watson then started putting the ball into the box and with a tiring back line getting deeper he could have nicked a half chance. Unlike Reid who is lame!

Up there with our worst signings ever! Bloke is stealing a living. Can’t defend and can’t pass. When he receives the ball you can see he’s juggling a hand grenade with the pin pulled out. Defensively awful as well, positionally and is always letting the ball bounce. Martin is at fault though for picking him. There are other choices.

100% spot on! Kept under hitting his passes all game and keeps tripping over the ball.

Skipp with the ball at his feet is one of our biggest problems. How many infer hit passes? He doesn’t set any tempo either. Just extremely one dimensional. I would like to see Braybrooke in there. Reid and Cullen are way too similar and I know people are saying a better team puts us to the sword but Reid had 4 chances and squandered them all! Alves, Joseph and Braybrooke had good games and if Martin had any bottle he would have kept the likes of Carr, Neale and Otchere around the first team squad Mccarthey is a bomb scare keeper and no improvement on Stolarcyk, so a complete waste of of a signing. Notts County ran hard and competed but were gifted so many chances by us.

We looked better with Otchere/Opoku up front in the games they played as they dont drop too deep and flicked the ball round the corner into space for runners like Alves. Building from the back we don’t have the players to do it comfortably. The opposition just know to let Okoli have the ball, he takes too many touches and the plays a telegraphed pass that is picked off. Thomas instead of opening up and playing the ball down the line shuts down the angles and can only play square back inside to Souttar or short to Skipp. Skipp doesn’t have the range of passing to be setting the tempo for the team either. He isnt terrible but not what’s needed there. I’d rather see Braybrooke play there as he reads the game and his range of passing is better. We need to bin off Reid, Mavadidi and Hamza asap as they look either extremely poor or disinterested. On a positive note they did recover the ball well and looked like they were running for each other. Plus the set pieces looked to have improved since last year.

I think he is definitely onto something with this! Since 2022/23 we have had ‘when you’re smiling’ blasting out before kick off, that like she says in the video clip ‘resonates’ with a certain part of the crowd. Three relegations later! It’s not for me and is too slow and sucks the life from any atmosphere that had begun to be generated.

I like the idea of a local led consortium. John Bloor is a good shout but don’t forget that there are the likes of Mike Ashley lurking about as well. I believe he was one of the bidders for Sheffield Wednesday and low balled them. To be fair to him though he does have a good eye for business and buying up failing businesses; and we are the latter!

I should imagine every single game as they were getting away with it. Like I said earlier their novice manager puts together an unbeaten run like that with a few surprise thumping of teams as well with a 62% win rate!

Funny how they haven’t admitted spying in games they won! Punishment would have been worse I reckon. Admittedly JIpswich and Oxford may have some evidence. But it certainly addresses a Novice manager with a 62% win rate who went on a 20 game unbeaten run. Slippery ****! Relegate them to the conference along with Man City.

Problem is he’s never won anything as a player or manager and has lost in the playoffs with Burton. I want a manager that brings us that relentless attacking football and never die spirit. I’m done as is everyone with sideways and backwards ad nauseum.

I agree he does appear to be a proper Northerner! With all his playing and management jobs in the North West. He would be good to consider though but Stockport season isn’t over yet and I would imagine that he stays if they win the playoffs.

One of the first people we need to consider getting back in is Chris Powell, whether that’s as an Assistant manager to a younger up and coming manager or as Head Coach/Manager. He did get Charlton promoted to the Championship before getting the sack the following season as manager back in 2011. I have a couple of mates who are Luton Town fans and they reckon that he is the main man down there with Jack Wilshire learning his trade from him.

Take some responsibility man! FFS you are part of the problem. You and your agent have successfully rinsed this club and no doubt you are now a ****ing millionaire. So please look to leave at the earliest opportunity. You are not fit to lace Norman Leets boots.
