I like the idea of a local led consortium. John Bloor is a good shout but don’t forget that there are the likes of Mike Ashley lurking about as well. I believe he was one of the bidders for Sheffield Wednesday and low balled them. To be fair to him though he does have a good eye for business and buying up failing businesses; and we are the latter!

Problem is he’s never won anything as a player or manager and has lost in the playoffs with Burton. I want a manager that brings us that relentless attacking football and never die spirit. I’m done as is everyone with sideways and backwards ad nauseum.

One of the first people we need to consider getting back in is Chris Powell, whether that’s as an Assistant manager to a younger up and coming manager or as Head Coach/Manager. He did get Charlton promoted to the Championship before getting the sack the following season as manager back in 2011. I was hopeful after those first two away games at Stoke and Middlesbrough however from the outside looking in his excuses have been cowardly and lame and he could easily have changed the formation and personnel. He is an experienced coach and could easily have delivered changes to a squad of professional (albeit toxic) footballers. Morrison did it with the Baggies and had to unpick what Mason and that idiot Eric Ramsay coached into them and has had what 15 games in total as a caretaker manager? Most importantly his football got the fans onside and behind the team as he changed things and gave them all a bit of belief! Rowett was and is the polar opposite of that and must not be considered for next season.

Marti was absolute dogshit! We didn’t run enough off the ball and that’s down to him. He was bailed out by some excellent individual moments from JJ and Abdul. We had no plan or shape under him. Rowett I had high hopes for but didn’t do enough and just hid behind his excuses that the players can only play one way etc. That’s just plain lazy and absolute bollocks. A decent coach could change the formation and shape over a couple of weeks. I remember Matt Elliot saying that O’Neill had them over the weekend drilling a back three as a team until they got it! I think we should now be looking at the managers who do well with limited resources and who know league 1/2 and have got teams promoted to the championship or managed in the Championship like Paul Cook at Chesterfield or Neil Harris at Cambridge. But James McCarron will go with someone from his City group links no doubt and that’s looking like Lee Johnson from what I can see.
