  1. There is a little bit of a difference between arresting 16-17 year old teenagers for throwing rocks at soldiers and murdering people and abducting their children some as young as 4 years old, and completely innocent.
  2. They should be addressed in policy making, just not in stupid schemes like Rwanda, but with sensible policies which address local impacts on housing, schools etc.
  3. All important factors, but you cannot tell people immigration is not an immediate issue while waving through the best part of a million people. Same here in Australia, housing is incredibly expensive, rentals impossible to find in some areas, so are people going to think maybe letting in 700k people in a year is perhaps not helping the issue? Yes of course they are.
  4. Miniaturization and mass production did alter the pricing somewhat. There is a great one where McKinsey, the masters of bigging up their business genius calculated the US market for mobile phones at around 900,000 by 2000. It was 109 Million.
  5. We are never ever going to replace Jamie. Ever.
  6. Is Casadei slow or shit or slow AND shit?
  7. I’m awake!!
  8. Especially what with him scoring a minute later?
  9. I mean, legend and all that. Maybe a little extreme?
  10. Navy strength Gin obvs. No a pleasant Semillion Sauvignon Blanc.
  11. I’ve got Foxes Hub on the web app. I was AirPlay from my phone but it was shit.
  12. Yeah I’m a bottle and a half in as well. Still, I got a new 65” TV from JBhifi today and the picture is unbelievable!
  13. Yes but that’s a very rare sentence let along time actually served in prison. 10 years actually as he was out for about a year under house arrest I believe.
  14. Parole not bail, and it’s 11 years, he served three for manslaughter before he was appealed and jailed for murder. It’s a pretty long sentence for murder really. Many serve less.
  15. Its a bit random that this still exists in 2023 though. I am not necessarily anti maintaining old properties and making them nicer for tenants seems a decent activity generally.
  16. Either they are a massively powerful lobby or they are shit at PR, they cannot be both surely? I suspect you are right and it is the latter. It is hard to be top of your game in such circumstances, especially when half the world starts from the position that you are evil lying arseholes.
  17. Shocking budget when you consider salary inflation. All the Cameron / Osbourne increases in the tax thresholds have been undone.
  18. They literally won a ODI Cricket world championship this week. Football is not their game. Its not top 3 or probably 4.
  19. Yes that would work better imo, but is very expensive so not likley at this point. The simplest way would be to reduce the ratios, but that has a risk factor.
  20. The workforce needs parents to be able to work, ergo they need to be flexible - especially when childcare is so insanely expensive. Keeping people, usually Mums, out of the workplace is bad for everyone.
  21. Tax cuts can boost spending and generate growth, which generates more tax. The Tax burden is pretty high at the moment.
  22. What do you do with the information though?
  23. I think the hardest bit is realising you cannot help, and probably make things worse when you try to. Its so hard to step back from those you love.
