  1. It may ruin a few games at the outset with numerous yellow or even red cards but to my mind it will be worth it in the long run. Footballers argue against almost every decision, even if its blatantly a foul or opposition throw, and its taught from an early age. I remember our under 15's manager telling us to "put pressure on the ref, call for everything". A culture change is needed from grass roots up and refs need to be supported by the f.a. If they dish out cards, even if it means superstars being sent off and suspended.
  2. Go. Leave. Get out. Never put our shirt on again. Train with the kids while your contract runs down. Take a pay cut and transfer somewhere. Retire. Go on loan. I dont care which one. Just please never make me have to watch you have a leisurely jog and make half hearted challenges again.
  3. Agree. 15/16 years ago id probably have been one of those that turn their noses up at womens football but since having a daughter ive had to change my views (justifiably). Whilst there isnt the "edgy" atmosphere i grew up with in the men's game which excited me, as CosbehFox says the presentation for the kids is excellent. So many girls getting interested and having their own heroes. My daughter has even started playing and got in the school team, very much as a result of seeing the lionesses as much as our usual city games. Great to see and the atmosphere is very family friendly.
  4. Took my daughter. I said at the time it made a change to be in the ground and not feel angry or want to vent at the players and manager. Family atmosphere. Great for the little kids. Standing areas looking good. And went in the normal "away" end. Not somewhere we will usually get to sit/stand. Game was a bit of a no contest. Cant see the point in VAR at a friendly. It may have made a bit more of a game of it if jamaicas "goal" had stood. I didnt see an issue with it at the time.
  5. If hooliganism was rife like in the 80s id half understand it but for me, its as simple as its too intrusive, like much in everyday life. Cctv every where, increasingly cashless society so that someone somewhere knows every single purchase you make. Websites that know what items you have viewed and email you afterwards asking why you didn't buy. Phones that email offers for car finance an hour after you had a conversation about your car with someone. Im going off topic with a rant on modern life but for me this is a step too far and unnecessary.
  6. Youve been waiting to get that one in since relegation haven't you. 🀣 Good work
  7. GET OUT! Good riddance. Worst manager in living memory. Now can we just have someone who refuses to play soumare and ill be a little happier.
  8. I did moan about the pricing for the premier league and said something along the lines of "prices never go down do they". Im very pleased to see that they have and i was wrong. That said, i still think anything over about 35 quid is too much for a second tier game (id like it to be less than that but im being realistic ). It will be interesting to see how many games actually get cat A status and what teams the club feel are worthy of that status....i can only think of one or two really, a handful at a stretch. This doesnt affect me too much this coming season as i have a season ticket but pricing has been a bug bear of mine.
  9. Im guessing work will start after the womens friendly at the weekend
  10. Its nice in the caribbean. He ought to make a proper holiday of it. Say.....2 years or so.
  11. Behave ....if hes tubby i must be morbidly obese. Thanks for that 🀣
  12. I loved that we refused to sit after the introduction of seats in the kop. But why we adopted actually standing on the seats rather than on the floor is still beyond me 🀣. Lots of fun but resulted in many falls and as you say, bloody shins 🀣
  13. Seriously looking at the copenhagen derby next season for my next trip. Not least because after flying to Copenhagen, the customs officer asked how long i was in Denmark for and i said about half an hour 🀣, we are going over the oresund bridge then up to stockholm for the derby. Maybe its a swedish/danish rivalry but he said "we have derbies here too you know" quite put out he was 🀣. Got me thinking though . Anyway, anyone been to copenhagen derby? Recommendations/contacts for obtaining tickets? Best areas to stay?
  14. True enough. I dont watch or go to friendlies simply because i dislike the lack of meaning and intensity but that's just me. Some people will want to go But Yes, I dont think 20 quid is much these days for an afternoons entertainment for an adult. I pay 25 ish for me and kids to have a game of crazy golf up Blaby for an hour or so. I mean, granted, we dont go red in frustration, foam at the mouth and scream "you useless f**@#r" at each other when we miss and threaten never to come again.......so there are differences 🀣
  15. Ill be going most weeks now ive got a season ticket. As much as anything else it's an escape. For two hours im invested in the game, let off steam, shout, sing, swear and enjoy a win as much as the next leicester fan and dont think about ANYTHING other than leicester city. Its a needed break from bills, work, ferrying kids about, appointments, caring for and transporting elderly parents, driving between different cities and not sitting down until 9pm and all the other issues we have to deal with in life. Regardless of who the owners are, who the manager is (even though i dont like either) what division we are in and how well we are doing, for me, leicester city serves a far bigger purpose than just satisfying my interest in football and support of the team. Bit deep maybe but true for me and i suspect many others.
  16. Received- thank you
  17. And the worst attempted header award goes to derby's paul Williams for his defending on the line for our first goal. Always makes me laugh πŸ˜‚
  18. It was. The 90s were my favourite time of being a supporter, despite our relatively recent successful period. id love to go back, purely because of the enjoyment as a fan, the older more atmospheric grounds (which soon after started to disappear), terracing, the fact i didnt need a loan to get a ticket and on lots of occasions just simply decide Saturday morning you were going to an away game and jump on a train. Oh and yes of course....the wembley visits. Simpler, more enjoyable times.....for me anyway
  19. Never really been one to idolise individual players......the only one i ever did was Tommy Wright, in my first couple of seasons of going down the city in my early teens. Looking back he wasnt a world beater but he was my favourite and i thought he was something else in that 91/92 blackburn play off season....so much so that i was telling anyone who would listen he should be given a chance on the left wing for England........until someone said "hes scottish you daft tw@t" πŸ˜‚
  20. I HAVE to get to ipswich next season. Ive been trying to do Portman road since 1992 when i had arranged to go but my parents stopped me as we were going on holiday 2 days later and they "werent made of money".....as a parent now, i can see their point! . Since then the gods seem to have conspired to prevent me going to ipswich, for a variety of reasons whether it be illness, pre arranged plans on game day, loss of job and a car break down or away on hols, not to mention not having several thousand away points! It seems ill never get there! πŸ˜‚ Next season......hopefully .......maybe πŸ˜‚
  21. Nice one. Thanks. I have a week or so so ill place order shortly πŸ‘
  22. How long is delivery on these? City supporting family over from states and going back soon. This is nice little gift to send them off and avoid spending in club shop
  23. Its not the end of the world but i just like to see the seats, how many sold around me etc
  24. Hi. Ive been looking on the fa website. Last time i bought tickets for an international (womens game at kp a couple of years ago) it gave me a stadium plan to pick seats. Is there a way to do this for the game at forest? Or do you just have to have whatever tickets they throw up for you?
  25. Pr**k. Leave now. Go anywhere. Stop taking the p*ss out of OUR club
