  1. Exactly . It is pocket change to them but nearly a days wages for some people and way beyond a kids pocket money. I got to see city out of my tenner a week as a kid
  2. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/cvgw6y6p19eo Fck off. Everything that is wrong with the premier league. It will never affect me as ill never go and watch man utd but no concessions for kids??? There may be hundreds if not thousands of kids in manchester want to see their team.. But how many parents are going to shell out 66 quid for a kids ticket? Fck off. Just fck off
  3. Weren't it 15 years and 19 goals?
  4. Quite right, i wouldn't put the baby jesus in lee carsley
  5. Agree. Maybe im romanticising it but i recently watched this is england 90 again and it really struck a chord. I recognised a lot of it and it really hit me that the 90s really was the last generation that lived without the Mobile phone and internet. The last generation to really throw ourselves into what we are interested in, whether its football, live music, whatever. We were engrossed in the moment, didn't watch it through a screen and had to go out to the football or a gig to find our entertainment. These days young uns look at their phone on tik tok or whatever and say "entertain me". I do think that plays a part. We had to find and create that entertainment and atmosphere ourselves. Jeez i sound old 😂
  6. Sad news. Rest easy. Voice of my childhood Saturday afternoons
  7. Someone had to........youve been waiting for that opportunity .....go on, admit it 😂
  8. My mates dads ex's son's cousin heard from the pub bloke, who is good mates with a bloke who works in the kitchens at the kp that its going to be walshy. But then again, he once said " anyone who can kick a ball that hard should play for england" about walshy too. In fact, all his ITK football stories are about walshy.....he spoke to him in brannigans for 15 mins once you know...If thats not ITK then i dont know what is
  9. Leicester city and football clubs in the top few divisions in general have been guilty of assuming that us idiot fans will just pay whatever they charge without question, out of some sort of blind loyalty seeing as we are a captive market and we can't just go to the club down the road (like we would for products in a shop). And to date, they have been more or less right.....we have been largely idiots with blind loyalty (no offence, i include myself in that). I note that there are large numbers of tickets unsold for the West ham game and i really hope that those that have been blindly loyal in the past have drawn a line at what they are willing to pay like i have. It would send a message if there were a few thousand empty seats for a premier league game . But i suspect it is more because its on tv, on a week night (lots of the unsold tickets are in the family stand). Managers and players come and go. We play in different divisions over the years, we are sometimes crap, sometimes good. Sometimes our kit is crap. None of that has ever really angered me, its football, its what happens to most clubs. But the pricing is an issue that does anger me and bother me more than any of that which is why i go on about it. Ive been to one home game this season which is ridiculous for me. I just hope other members agree and stop paying these prices. Prices only ever come down for any product when that product isn't selling .
  10. "Its a beautiful day" 🎵🎵🎶🎶 It certainly is Bono, you are right
  11. Not really . Players have earnt a lot yes but nothing like the sums they get nowadays . And tickets 30 years ago were "throwaway" money. 7 quid pen two. I remember paying a tenner when the filbo kop was all seater so that's going to be less than 30 years. There have always been good and bad refs granted
  12. Good work. It looked the dogs testes on tv. Match of the day didnt do it justice, giving it all of 1.5 seconds
  13. I absolutely agree. Theres also the fact he has done a "real" job and lived in the real world for a few years. Whilst that doesn't equate to talent, players that have experienced the real world tend to have an edge and a bit of character ...vinnie jones, Stuart Pearce . Its rare these days.
  14. Not been. I was having a look myself online as i heard it was bad. Ill remove them if that's the case
  15. Im not going and it looks like im not alone. Looked at ticket sales. Far more available than i would have expected in the past. West ham is even worse. Large sections are unsold. I kind of hope it stays that way. We might have several thousand more members than there are seats available but most aren't willing to pay the asking price . This has to send out a message regarding the extortionate pricing. It is putting off the vast majority of members who have to pay game by game .
  16. Ha ha . Your aren't far wrong
  17. Generally though, i prefer it when footballers have two working legs 😂
  18. Yes they did. I bought my very first city shirt in there in 91 or 92. I think i collected tickets in there too, if i recall. In those days it was only the big ties that were all ticket (arsenal in the league cup, f*rest in the zenith data cup.....yes a game in that comp was all ticket ).
  19. It should be walkers forever and ever and ever 😂
  20. Man utd in the cup was an example. 42-48 if memory serves. I know the simple answer is dont buy them if you dont like it, and i know its still cheaper than home tickets its just the principle. It stinks. Its shameless. Its saying blatantly we dont care , we want to charge you as much as possible. Ffs 50p. If you left a 50p tip for a waiter they would tell u to keep it
  21. Nice reduction for seniors and u22. They may as well have just said fck you.....we have to make a deduction so we are going to shamelessly take the p1ss by deducting 50p. What you gonna do about it plebs?
  22. Ok ok all bets are off. You win
  23. Not a shrine as such but my daughters bedroom has surprised and pleased me. Alongside pop stars she has a dishonesty flag, shirt that must be on display and not in a wardrobe and a number of clappers (we don't use them to clap but we always take one to use as a poster). She also has a box where match tickets are kept along with badges which we buy at any away game we attend . Its great she shares my interest in city, especially as we live in Cov city country and she flies the flag for us. It reminds me of my city obsession as a kid. It also makes me a little sad as i suspect hers is the last generation that will get that bug from regularly attending games with her dad. The sickening prices are pricing out young people and families
