What do the players say in the pre-match huddle?
rugbyblue replied to DJW1's topic in Leicester City Forum
As long as they dont all put their hands in and go "whhooooooaaaaa team", i dont care π Never cared much for a huddle but on refection its way better than the old school semi noncing where the p.e. Teacher slapped your arse as you ran out of the changing room -
In truth telling the staff on the phones wont get much of a reaction. Its just a job for them (not saying thats the best attitude but im sure we have all done jobs where it is just a job for us). They aren't the people that matter, and possibly aren't even "football people". Its only when the renewal figures reach management /exec level and there is a noticeable drop in renewals that it will have any impact or generate a reaction

Will you go to any more matches this season?
rugbyblue replied to hejammy's topic in Leicester City Forum
Tv companies don't care about that. Its not the kids that buy tv packages so they are of no use to these execs -
Has your mrs stopped your card again? Happens all the time to me. I only purchased the box set of swedish sauna babes and all hell breaks loose π€·

Functionality is absolutely fine. Never had a problem. Get there at 2:55 and there will be ques, digital tickets or not. Scans as easily as a barcode on a paper ticket for me. However, i cant imagine my mum or dad or a lot of pensioners being confident using them. There is also the fact that many people like to save tickets as momentos (first game, big game, so and so's last game etc) and you can't do that with digital tickets. I also dont like the fact its another type of control/monitoring etc in a digital world.

Most of us have been around football all our lives, amateur and professional, playing and watching. We KNOW what we are looking at!! Stop trying to take the p*ss out of us Ruud and co. Like we are not knowledgeable because we haven't absolutely spawned getting a lucrative job in the pro game !

Quote of the day: Commentator: leicester have now conceded a total of 999 top flight goals. Matt piper: what? This season. π

Matt piper ......as "lestoh" as it gets π that wa luckeh

Fair enough. Educated now.

You sure? How do people attending their first game with a new membership get tickets then if theyve never been before ? Genuine question if you are right in what you are saying
-
Above poster is correct . Most People probably wont want to buy for a stranger on the Internet in their name. Not that i particularly want a united fan in the home end and not because i want the club to make any more money from membership but if you are genuine, and as you say you are willing to pay good price, id say buy a membership and get one of the "lower" priced tickets still available. Probably closer to the truth is its likely still going to be cheaper than travel to Manchester and a united home ticket for a gameπ.

Safe standing - time to act
rugbyblue replied to Safe Standing Roadshow's topic in Leicester City Forum
I agree . Im not one to be negative for negative sake and i dont get irate at every single decision that is made but i think this is half a job. Its good we are getting standing areas but it is a half measure. It doesnt fully satisfy the ones who wanted a large standing area and it possibly upsets those that sit and whose view may be obstructed. -

rugbyblue replied to Safe Standing Roadshow's topic in Leicester City Forum
I am a little annoyed by this. Maybe unnecessarily, time will tell. My concern as a member is that we will not be able to get a 2 tickets together in a standing area, as they are small areas and may be filled with ST holders (fair enough ST holders can choose where they are located) before i get my chance to buy a ticket. I will not sit at football. Never have, never will. Im assuming there will now be a gestapo style clampdown on standing in seated areas, like the front of sk1 will be. If thats the case i simply wont go. It may seem a small thing to many but standing is a big thing when watching football, for me. Sitting just doesnt feel right and i dont enjoy it as much. I did do the survey and also spoke to the people on the stall near the club shop before one of the games and gave my opinion as well as mentioning safe standing in every questionaire the club sent about the match day experience, so i did what i could. Im amazed that more people didnt do the survey...why????? it took literally less time than it does to post a moan on social media!! -

The cynic in me thinks this may have been intentional/targeted. I have no evidence of this but the one place in all of the ground youd expect to be a standing area, the front of sk1 around UFS would be that area -

At the very least id have expected the whole of sk1 to be standing. It makes no sense -

This was my first thought. Resistance needed to sitting. Theyve done half a job -
Vardy and ayew could be on it for a start. Cant see their value going up like its supposed to with antiques though
-
Well said brian. Even back then there was too much slobbering.
-
People moan about it but it does feel a bit more like real football and not a show or technical exercise. Anyone can beat anyone else and i read somewhere that its in the top 5 best attended league in Europe. Im not disputing the talent gap with the prem but generally it has more entertaining games and real fans

If Top / King Power shut us down tomorrow β¦β¦
rugbyblue replied to Sly's topic in Leicester City Forum
There are moments, but they are less and less common these days. But its only those moments that make me keep coming back, its like you know how it can feel at times and you put up with soulless stadia and dull games and t-shirt cannons and light shows and 5 subs (it should be 3 max - im not going to argue, if anyone is inclined) breaking up every second half of every game and montages and sh*t poems, and f**king VAR, just for those moments......well i do anyway. Preston away, winner at Southampton this season and mavididi equaliser at Chelsea last season are the highlights for me over quite a long period now. They are the ones ive come away thinking "that was a good experience /day". Ill admit, im probably not the target customer these days, i shout, i sing, i stand, i swear and boo when i think it's justified and spend nothing in any ground. Im probably getting old too and for the younger generation its becoming the norm. I just dont think i would have become a lifelong fan or got excited about it, like i did at filbo, if I started going now. I certainly wouldn't support another pro club. Im digressing quite a bit now from the original post so ill stop π -
