  1. I don't think he realised the scale of the task at hand when he took the job.
  2. Les Dawson would have done better today.
  3. It's not going to get worse, this is the low. A few thoughts. 1- Caretaker was on a hiding to nothing, we saw it a few seasons ago. 2- Look on the clubs social media back to Tuesday. There's a video of them in the gym on exercise bikes. They're all putting in MINIMAL effort. Anyone who's been in a Puregym knows there's more graft put in there than in that video, and these are professional athletes. 3- Expect Ruud to be ruthless with the defence. Come January you'll see none of these play.
  4. Most probably delays due to coaching staff. Worrying as I do fear for us against Brentford with no manager inside the dugout.
  5. I miss the days on this forum when we'd have thunderbirds memes floating around the Tinder thread, some bloke trying to get us to vote for his kid to be the next face of Kinder chocolate and someone getting lambasted for daring to post, 'kermo was decent.' Now we've got pyramid selling/recruiting. Where did it go wrong?
  6. Imminent - next few hours.
  7. Not at all. The club is not what it used to be. Expectations change with success. We are not a small club in the midlands anymore. Look at the last decade. Martin O'Neill's completely misjudged the fanbase here, annoyed a few of us and showed us all how out of touch he is with the club. He'll pop back into the limelight again when he's got a new book to flog.
  8. I did think that. A man brought in pretty much solely for being a dressing room leader at the heart of it.
  9. Admittedly I don't necessarily understand how Top has been able to speak out at the players about anything BUT the Enzo sign. The Enzo sign is the damaging thing. He would have approved the Xmas Party probably, especially with the string of games coming up. Also if he wanted to minimise damages, he should have got rid of Cooper during the International Break. The situation would have been dealt with, and there would be less 'disgrace' piled. But being honest. Player misses ex coach and has a laugh. That's the real headline. The negativity only increases following the sacking of Cooper, which should have been done earlier.
  10. Me too mate. Big week coming up!
  11. So poisoned I like you were banned from commenting in the thread mate!
  12. Application to now be considered ITK.
  13. I For Lan would let her have a go on me. oh wait.
  14. Did you hear the corruption chant go up during the game after the penalty shout? I'd love to know if they muted that on the telly broadcast, but it was a bit brutal.
  15. Probably said in jest, but with the criticism of the ref coming heavily from Cooper, it's probably been made worse. Mentioned in the ref's report. Would be incredibly insane for PGMOL and FA to impose a ban on this and would probably cause more outrage based on the corruption scandals. More likely to remind Vardy of his behaviour.
  16. Agree 100% - someone who especially gets those supporters who care deepest and most passionately about the club and aren't afraid to wear their hearts on their sleeves.
  17. He's going to love you lot. Expect Maresca style scenes at the end of the games after a win.
  18. 1. Ranieri 2. Rodgers 3. Pearson 4. Enzo 5. Shakespeare 6. Sven 7. Puel 8. Smith 9. Cooper 10. Sousa
  19. Very sad. Was a staple on the radio for years, and a joy to listen to. A proper commentator.
  20. Interesting quotes recently written about Ruud: "On that note, Van Nistelrooy knows what he wants and doesn't stand for anything less. When he resigned suddenly as PSV boss in 2023, the reason given was a perceived lack of support from the club. Although it was too late for him, they must have listened because just a year passed – one big sale and a few signings later – before PSV had gone from finishing seven points adrift of Feyenoord to finishing seven points ahead and claiming the Eredivisie title for the first time in six seasons." After cutting his coaching teeth with juniors and reserves, Van Nistelrooy was in charge of PSV's first-team for one year. In that sole season, he delivered the Johan Cruyff Shield – effectively the Dutch super cup – by beating Arne Slot's league champion Feyenoord team, and the KNVB Cup. PSV reached the knockout rounds of the Europa League during the campaign too." Working his way through PSV's Under-17, Under-19 and reserve sides, Van Nistelrooy has gathered plenty of experience of working with and developing young talent. The list of young first-team players he furthered during his sole season as PSV head coach alone is substantial. Xavi Simons enjoyed a breakout campaign of epic proportion that prompted Paris Saint-Germain to trigger their buyback clause, while Van Nistelrooy oversaw Jarrad Branthwaite's first meaningful season of top flight first-team football. Johan Bakayoko, Noni Madueke and even Cody Gakpo are others who have benefitted from his guidance.
  21. Might be one or two, but it's more likely to be some of those involved in the PSV academy years ago when he was there.
