  1. Gate receipts for the Bramley Apple Dick stadium for the next 20 years please.
  2. That'd be £115m please.
  3. Well I for one think we've handled this really, really well.
  4. They're being defensive - they're pointing the finger, making false claims about not gaining a sporting advantage, falsely claiming the overspend was on the stadium etc - and I get it, but they don't have a ****ing leg to stand on. It's a distraction tactic. **** em.
  5. Personally I'm not that bothered about Forest; for me, Everton should be the main target - 1. they've broken the rules over several seasons and it has directly harmed us over those seasons. 2. they've stunk up the Premier League for pretty much all of its existence and should have gone down more than a decade ago. And 3. The meltdown from their fans would be absolutely ****ing wonderful. They shouldn't just get to waltz into their new stadium without any consequence. I want them hamstrung by these rule breaks for decades to come.
  6. The Man City case is complex enough but you have to remember that this investigation (the PL's 115 charges) started in 2018, before the second UEFA ruling and the CAS overturning it, and it wasn't until 2021 that the media were even allowed to report on it. Man City's owner is on record (in the Der Spiegel article) stating that he would rather spend £50m on lawyers to sue UEFA than pay a £30m fine, and that's pretty much what they've done. They've flooded UEFA and the Premier League with litigation on practically every single letter of every word spoken between them, at every stage. That's why it's taking so long - they're forcing the authorities into a war of attrition because a) they have limitless resources whereas the authorities don't; b) the longer this goes on, the more trophies Man City will win, the more they get out of their players and the more they can set themselves up to recover more easily from their inevitable expulsion; and c) they ****ing can. Man City WILL be punished, and it will be epoch-defining for the Premier League. But it's going to take a very, very long time.
  7. Hopefully that won’t affect his availability to play tonight.
  8. ****ing knew someone would pick up on that
  9. I would rather they stuck them in Scotland just to wind them up.
  10. Only tuned into the Liverpool match for the draw so missed the start - did they have a minutes silence?
  11. Absolute piss take.
  12. Can't quite believe this but that goal today was apparently only the NINTH time Albrighton has assisted a Vardy goal. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jamie-vardy/alletore/spieler/197838/saison//verein/0/liga/0/wettbewerb//pos/0/trainer_id/0/minute/0/torart/0/plus/1
  13. Alternative timeline: Maddison sold to Manchester United for British record of £125m, while Mike Ashley sells Newcastle to the Mexicans for £50m and a massive bag of coke.
  14. Don't let anyone romanticise Klopp's Liverpool era. He whinged about absolutely everything, most notably "not having the same resources" as other clubs around them, then breaking the world record transfer fees for a goalkeeper and a defender in the space of six months. He was gifted a fluke Champions League win by virtue of playing against ****ing TOTTENHAM then won the league when Man City had a year off, which nobody will ever remember because it was during lockdown. They furloughed working class staff during COVID, tried to set up "Project Big Picture" when everyone was stuck at home in lockdown and would have reshaped the Premier League in their favour, then tried to set up their own league that would have bankrupted every other club in the world. All while colluding with the Premier League management to artificially keep themselves at the top and every other club below them with ambitions and the means to achieve them neutered at their expense. In short, **** Klopp, **** Liverpool and **** the Premier Leauge.
  15. Put 45-54 as it was around what I’d hoped but in all honesty I had no idea what to expect. I felt like we should have hired a manager and made transfer deals much earlier but was honestly worried that we’d sink like a stone. Its gone pretty well.
  16. Been thinking for a while that there needs to be a dedicated thread for football financials, the sport's future and how it affects us. I'd start it with a detailed explanation of how we've been hamstrung by the Premier League's rules from the second we won the league, as well as Man City and Everton's cheating affecting us, as I did in the following post: I'd then cover explanations of our administration in 2002 and settlement with the EFL in 2018 and how they're both irrelevant to the conversation. I'd also like to lay out what big changes are coming to football very soon, how the corruption will continue, and what we as can and SHOULD do to make sure we as a football club and community get what we deserve. I'm a bit snowed under with my workload at the minute so if anyone is good at writing long articles about this sort of thing and is able to collaborate on it let me know.
