After playing a couple of times a week since last September-ish I have finally broken 50 for a 9 hole round for the first time. I ditched the phone app for the round and went back to the paper scorecard so I couldn't see a running total of my score, it made a massive difference and I managed to post 47. A massive relief. I think I struggle so much because 90% of the difficulty is in my head. Tried no hero shots, just kept it straight and in play without trying to smash it. So happy. Fully expect a mid 50s score again next round but I know I can do it now.

I'll love that team forever but I'm bored of it now. Something to be proud of in our history but I'm just so bored of it now being brought up all the time. Reading the pre-match and match thread on the Forest forum was the perfect antidote to our nightmare season. From pre-match arrogance to the slow realisation they were getting battered. Couldn't sleep last night so took great joy in reading it all. Particularly enjoyed pre-match them saying what a clown Emery is and that Villa didn't have the passion that Forest do. A number of posts claiming that not a single Villa player would get in the Forest squad. As the match progressed it became all about the referee being a cheat and moaning about the penalty, despite them getting one against Chelsea for the same thing. 10/10, would read again.
