  1. I don't think anyone was even thinking it let alone agreeing with it. You're talking about playing a 16 year old in a position he's unfamiliar with in a league where they kick lumps out of you.
  2. I miss having a Disco! Or going a bit mental. Give us an M----Ohhh--Ennnn---Geeee- Ayyyy Let's go Monga mental, lets go Monga mental, ala la la.......
  3. Look at the prices some European clubs are charging for unproven talent now. Liverpool just threw 30m at an 18 year old CB. Very few players out there that will be less than 20m and with Palace having the Conference now too they'll want quality. With extra money from European nights and cash from Eze and maybe Guehi too, 30m will be doable for them.
  4. You're exactly the sort of person he's referring to, suggesting that critical thinking is wrong or - God forbid - there are non-match-going fans out there 🤣 and that blindly following the club no matter what is the best thing to do. Attending matches isn't a qualification for "Best Leicester Fan". Without a mate and his spare ticket allowing me to go to most home games, I wouldn't have been to a fraction of our games in the last 15 years because getting a ST would have been nigh on impossible and buying match by match unaffordable. Who are you to tell me and those in a similar position, I'd be any less of a supporter for spending my money doing something else? You'll find the county is full of people that love the club but don't have the priviledge of being there. The club's been my life for 39 of my 47 years. I was here long before the players, long before King Power, I'll be as critical of them as I want.
  5. He should be looking at his own team mates that gave up early well before he looks at people who may have spent a week's pay on tickets and travel yesterday. Fickle fans is just another way of saying you should cheer when you win but not boo when you lose.
  6. You say he hasn't done it intenionally and then state the one the he has done intentionally. He messed with the model of success. Allied to your other statements - we've recruited poorly and given contracts no-one else can afford, means he's in charge of a complete footballing shitshow. If he's not directly responsible for that he should sack the guy who is, yet he doesn't, because they're friends. He's overseen nearly 5 years of steady decline and apart from "the things he's done for the community" no-one can point to anything he's done that's improved the club since his Dad died. I cut him some slack for quite a few seasons but we're an utter shambles right now and it's all down to leadership and direction.
  7. He's got you there I'm at the point where I want 5 or 6 academy lads in every starting line up. Apart from one half of football Ayew has been shocking. Soumare and Daka can't perform at any level and no other club wants them stinking out their side either. Vestergaard and Justin are immobile and Winks is still pining for Enzo. Right now Page, Monga, Nelson etc should be given a run of 5 or 6 games to bed themselves into the side. There might be mistakes but I'd rather kids making mistakes and learning than watching anymore of this half-assed dross. Marti won't do that of course, he's somehow got to try and win games whilst shop windowing all these charlatans
  8. The guy that Tony Pulis called out for being brittle and was once involved in stealing a taxicab on a West brom players night out?
  9. Agree. But we don't need another thread on this do we?
  10. We're not. We have a lot of deadwood but this division is much worse than you remember.
  11. Don't get me wrong, I'd drive him to his next club. I'm not there but I know for a long time it's been Wooout. If that's turned to boos that's really down to him.
  12. Wooooouutt. Why has this suddenly become misinterpreted?
  13. He's not even had 3 games. Jesus. Maybe the club could help by signing an alternative so we don't have to play the guy?
  14. You can't get relegated make zero new signings and expect the same group of players who gave up after 15 games to suddenly become interested/motivated again. There are 6 or 7 of this group that don't want to be here and that's a cancer in any squad. They don't inspire the academy they infect them with their attitude. In the same way a spine of players can drive you to success it can also take you down. So yeah, we could but there's 2 weeks to find a cure.
  15. Danny Ward again, Danny Ward again, Danny Ward again ole ole
  16. Its been like this since Schmeichel left and to an extent since 2017 when the title team started to move on. It's another stain on the recruitment in the post-Walsh era. Unfortunately our senior players now don't really have any of those old school qualities.
  17. Or Mavididi. Or Ayew. Reading too much into it.
  18. This is never going to be the case unless we have a prolonged spell in the EFL again. Good job we didn't abandon plans for the Raw Dykes development because we only got 17k for a league cup semi final. ST sales would top 30k in a 40k stadium based on general interest alone. If we'd gone building the extension first we'd now be having the same discussions in reverse - attracting top talent and having a successful academy is impossible with 2nd rate facilities. And again, equating Seagrave with a drop off in form is simply 2+2=5. No-one mentioned that when we were finishing in the top 6 or in Europe. The drop off coincided with greedily abandoning our financial model chasing instant success and backing it with pisspoor recruitment. The spiral since 2021 has matched our increasingly poor transfer activity.
  19. Not even close. Pleat? Hollowords? Taylor?
  20. We don't need to replace him. Coulibaly and Ricardo + Okoli occasionally are enough cover at this level
  21. I'd even take 5m + Xm bonus if they stay up. Possibly the last chance we have of getting a fee for him.
  22. You can't say Nelson isn't good enough on the ball and then talk about Vestergaard. Even if his passing ability was marginally better, he rarely makes use of it and it's outweighed by him having the turning circle of an oil tanker and being the worst header of a ball I've ever seen. Two years ago there was an argument Nelson wasn't ready, right now he's wasting his career on the bench.
  23. Two CDMs yesterday followed the ball into the box and were in a different postcode to Chalobah when he scored. We need Ricky doing the 6 role again, a player with actual positional awareness.
  24. Unfortunately the only way for a real clean slate is to sell the players and we're genuinely abysmal at getting rid of deadwood. All managers would love to come in and start again but the reality is that you can only change 3 to 5 players per season and it takes 3 transfer windows to change an entire culture or squad. They can't simply bin them off. It's not impossible though. Brian Little turned 3 or 4 seasons of garbage round pretty rapidly. Micky Adams turned the Taylor failures into winners again.
  25. TBF I'd have him and Nelson back there. Despite their goals today Faes and Lurch should be open to bids.
