  1. Scrap one, stop the rot, move on. And btw whingers - Leeds only put one past Stoke too.
  2. Oh I suppose so. I thought you meant the girl pants thing And definitely older......
  3. Insults? Kid? C'mon.
  4. No. This guy is a world away from Brendan, and you can't handle it because you want Brian Deane and Scowie back up top for us. Imagine quoting the match thread as back up for your worthless opinions. The posters on here are the usual match day posters. Most of them were commenting like this in 2016 and wanted Pearson out in 2014. Crawl back in your hole you moaning old tw@
  5. You've been sucked into HMS piss the league that's all. Stats threads talking about record points etc. Having a superior squad does not guarantee anything. This division is full of old wrecks of clubs that had superior squads. We're missing Ricardo, missing Vestergaard and until a few mins ago we were missing Ndidi. Get your big girl pants on.
  6. I can just imagine that. Top of the league and sacking the manager. We'd be an absolute laughing stock of football.
  7. Yep. That's the run-in most seasons, feeling the pressure.
  8. You're trolling surely? I heard people like you exist but didn't actually believe it until now. FML.
  9. Bollocks, absolute bollocks. We've lost 4 players to injury and we've hit a rough patch. Nobody's suffocated anything. You're panicking because of Leeds being in form. Same as those cockwomble Saints fans asking for Russell Martin to be sacked the other day.
  10. Jesus Christ give it a rest. He's not on the pitch, he stood in the same way on the touchline when we were mullering Stoke, Plymouth, Hudds and the rest. You don't win every game 4-0 and dance your way to the title.
  11. Should have been back in as soon as he was fit, JJ didn't more than a few mins until Doyle's injury. That thunderbastard he hit against Cardiff seems to have given him a pass to be starting almost every game.
  12. We had this guy down here for the Bristol game (I think) and he had a blinder. At the time a lot were saying him and Sam Allison were the best in the league by a mile.
  13. So much negativity on here, we're one up at half time. It's the Championship. It's always a long old slog. Two games a week, tired legs, injuries. I think some people have forgotten what it's like and got sucked into the piss the league talk.
  14. RB never works on Virgin. It's supposed to be a perk for Sky subscribers only.
  15. Oh God, I hate that from commentators. Inny-acho. I noticed the other day Conor McNamara on BBC is still going with Tillymons in midfield for Villa.
  16. He's the new Shmichel Schmicel Smhmichel Kasper On that note, I wish someone would tell Mr Moooveit and Mr Gerritforwud behind us that the guy playing on our right wing is Fatawu not Fatwah
  17. Not sure he has to tweak the system exactly just who plays where. Nacho normally plays in the 8/10 position for Nigeria, almost never an out & out striker and he did it for us in 2021. A lot of his goals came from playing behind or off Vardy with his runs giving Nacho room to play and get a shot off. It's got to be worth a shot having him in that position to give more creativity behind whichever striker he picks (personally I'd want Cannon or Jamie up there but he's probably picking Daka for the run-in by the looks of it. And lets hope the experiment of having KDH on the right side not the left died on Saturday too. Would rather Yunus uses his weaker foot than Kiernan.
  18. What are we bottling? Were we bottling it when we lost to Boro and Leeds before? We have 4 key players injured, teams have figured out if you stop Mavididi and Fatawu our striker is no threat. We need to tweak a few things and get back to basics instead of trying to overplay and making bad decisions. People need to stick with the team, stop whining and bottling it in the stands. Every manager has had this pressure from fans in this league - Little, O'Neill, Adams, Pearson all got stick and every time the fans were wrong. At least Pearson had the right idea when he told one or two to fk off and die.
  19. I'm not saying he's made a huge contribution I'm saying there's far worse whether you go back a decade or just some of our more recent expensive flops. His issue has been injuries and that's out of his control, others were just sh!te.
  20. Nelson did well but Coady was bought for his leadership and when you're in this sort of a run you need that on the pitch not the bench. With Ndidi, Ricky and Vesty all missing we need a calm head and someone to give everyone's heads a wobble. If he doesn't start at Sunderland, someone needs to ask Enzo why. Same if Daka starts again. Why? Back to basics and get us winning again.
  21. He's nowhere near. Our current in favour striker is definitely up there but if you go through the Levein, Kelly and Holloway eras I'll find you at least 20 that are well ahead of him. As a player it must be soul destroying to have so many niggly injuries and interruptions to your career. Not being able to trust your body when you step on the pitch. Just another of those Darren Eadie, Matt James, Ledley King type of players that's always got a problem.

    Daka

He doesn't occupy defenders, he doesn't create space for others,he barely challenges for the ball or forces errors, he just offers very little. Cannon home, Vardy away. Tom's done very little wrong but 15 mins per game isn't exactly giving him a chance of effecting a game.
  23. In general, you make a good point but people's immediate needs that day - being able to eat, have clean clothes and wash themselves - aren't met by prepping their future or teaching them a skill. Those are long term goals. The short term view you're not keen on makes sure they have at least a few minutes a day where their basic human needs are met and they feel wanted. When that's achieved, you move on to ensuring they can provide the basics for themselves going forwards.
  24. Didn't he get hooked against Birmingham in the cup? He was okay last night but every other game he's featured in since his "exile" he's looked slow or lacking in energy. Sure he needs more minutes but we can't carry any passengers in the run in either.
  25. Cannon looks low on confidence which isn't a surprise as he was dropped when he'd scored goals. Hamza's best game in a City shirt and just nudges Vesty for MOTM for me although if he finishes that run on goal I'm giving it to him. Never thought I'd be uttering this sentence 6 months ago.
