I think he gives it one more year and I think you want him in the dressing room. He’s proper stepped up this last few weeks. I’ve never really thought of him as someone who wanted to lead, but he’s definitely lead recently, by words and deeds both. You could see people deviating towards him in those celebrations and I actually got quite a paternal vibe from him. Not just one of the boys but a patriarch.

Someone said in the match thread that the blip was pure psychological and once we got our heads straight we’ve reverted to being excellent again. If this is true, does Enzo in fact deserve immense credit for not confusing the players by changing personnel and tactics and keeping the message consistent? I’d also thought Enzo had shat it, I can’t lie. But think I was wrong now and don’t think that’s just revisionism. I think maybe we just missed what was really happening.

The NHS is remarkably light on managers considering its size. Most of the waste comes from central decisions, I’d say.

I read a really interesting post on Reddit (so take with a pinch of salt of course) that said something like the 13 Colonies didn’t originally have a police force, and one only coalesced from militias when there was a need to protect private property. So the concept of the police force as a public service was never really a thing, and in fact the origin of their police was exclusively to protect wealth and property. EDIT: I should add - property including slaves, “protecting them” meaning suppressing slave uprisings and capturing escapees.

We do have to be sensible with money. Realistically we won't survive next season, so much as I don't want him to go it's not worth paying him huge money to stay. We need to make sure we get the financial reset right and looking long term, we'd be better off using the money to get rid of the idiots that got us into this position to start with i.e. Rudkin.

Agreed, even before we took the lead we were moving the ball far more purposefully. If he’s finally realised he has to mix things up there’s a future for him here.
