  1. It's now 50/50 on battery vs combustion. And it means they're using the combustion part to charge the battery up more because electric power has more torque so makes them quicker.
  2. I read the book and wasn't impressed. It did make me think and discuss it a lot afterwards with my mate though who saw the film in the cinema.
  3. I guess it's much easier to write complex stories when you know exactly how they'll end up, and simple to add nods in for the future events and characters. Not so easy if you're writing a series from scratch.
  4. I think I'd just rather fold the club up, than hire one of those bellends.
  5. Definitely agree with that. They muddled the two up and the tone was all over the place as you alluded to.
  6. Sounds like just a coincidence.
  7. I'm sure they are genuine complaints, but plenty of drivers have had to suck it up in previous years due to cars not suiting them and regulations stifling their car's competitiveness. It's just sour grapes because he's suddenly nowhere near the top. And he knows he has a strong position within the sport so is acting out to try and change things back in his favour.
  8. I remember her from a few episodes of Young Sheldon. Be careful you'll have the paedo brigade off here on your back as she looks quite young in that photo.
  9. Some sort of ointment required then..... And I'd follow my stuff out the window.
  10. Ellie Rowsell, lead singer of Wolf Alice. They were on SNL last weekend and she's great.
  11. Seeing him whine constantly over the last few weeks when he realised his pace is nowhere near the top has been a very amusing turnaround. Really doesn't like it so no doubt he'll be fishing for another team next year.
  12. I was looking through Netflix yesterday for the first time in ages, and I noticed it's mostly foreign TV series. Absolutely chock full of them with the occasional US/UK one thrown in.
  13. I loved Virtua Tennis and Colin McRae Rally, which (I think) was the first racing game to use the analogue triggers for accelerate/brake.
  14. I keep saying it but stop the clipping at full throttle/top speed and it would be much more palletable. It would cut out the huge losses in laptime if you get it wrong and clip too much on the straights.
  15. I had always known Tiger was done years ago, as soon as he started getting regular injuries. He was never coming back from that other than the occasional appearance. It's sad when you think about it. Instead of just retiring with his head held high he's desparately tried to keep playing and staying relevant. He obviously has other personal issues and should have just kept quiet and gotten involved with something else in the game like academies and teaching, as well as helping his son's career.
  16. No doubt they've been financially compensated by the PL behind the scenes.
  17. No it was just pong in one big box. You hooked it up to any TV. It was one of these Binatone type things.
  18. The only thing they cared about was his ego and their bank balances by affecting the markets. It's been a great success for him and his investment cronies.
  19. I had the box that you hooked up to the TV to get pong on it, with the twisty knobs as controllers to make it go up and down. Literally minutes of fun.
  20. Another one who needs a spell behind bars and a short sharp shiv to remind him not to be such a cvnt.
  21. Soon to be twice?
  22. I used to love the TMNT game on NES. It was really hard to complete though. No instant saves, you had to start levels all over again! Same with Super Ghouls & Ghosts on SNES which I never completed.
  23. 80Mb was luxury compared to my ZX Spectrum with its 128k! Not to mention the Vic20 I had before that, which had games which ran off cartridges.
  24. It's a real shame they can't get the Discworld series going. There's so much varied material to adapt and the writing is smart and fantastic for all ages. The previous film adaptations have been ok. Especially Charles Dance as Vetinari.
