I thought it was the slowest one of the lot.

That wouldn't be good at all. All it would do is cause even more resentment from those that go out to work all day subsidizing the lazy dossers out there. However, if you mean people only on certain benefits like the higher thresholds of PIP disability, those that can't work for genuine mental health reasons, or certain means tested pensioners, then maybe I'd be on board.

All while they siphoned millions of public money to their mates businesses that never ultinately did anything. Utter ***** all of them. Those that essentially stole money like that should be in jail not just a public inquiry.

Looks like it's been designed by Fred Dibnah.

I bought a jar of apple cider vinegar a few months ago. That tastes bloody awful too and not touched it since.

I've had left over cold Yorkies with jam on with a cuppa, as they're just pastry essentially.

Yeah that's just weird.

For the last two Tuesday nights when I play in my local snooker league, my club has been playing Christmas songs all night. It's ****ing November!

This is worth doing IMO. I've just donated a small amount. https://givebutter.com/naroditsky Charlotte Chess Centre and his family are setting up a Daniel Naroditsky Memorial Fund to have an annual ove-the-board blitz and rapid tournament, plus a scholarship program. All donors become Founding Donors, permanently recognized on the digital donor wall on the Charlotte Chess Center Foundation's website. Pawn Circle (Under $250) * Name on digital donor wall * Digital Founding Donor certificate The Naroditsky Memorial Blitz & Rapid Championship An annual over-the-board tournament to be held over-the-board in Charlotte, North Carolina. The event aims to attract the world’s top players, including those ranked within the top ten globally, while also welcoming hundreds (even thousands!) of amateur participants. Daniel often spoke about his wish to see more over-the-board blitz and rapid events. This tournament will bring that vision to life, and stand as a celebration of the type of chess he loved most. The Charlotte Chess Center will oversee all aspects of the event, including invitations, organization, and logistics, ensuring it becomes a highlight on the international chess calendar. The Naroditsky Fellowship A scholarship program supporting talented young chess players pursuing excellence at the highest level. Daniel deeply valued students who were serious about reaching their full potential, and took pride in guiding them on that path. The Fellowship will reflect those values by providing financial support, resources, and opportunities to high-achieving students who aspire to play chess professionally. It will focus on talented players in Charlotte, as well as other promising students across the United States. Every dollar raised during this initial campaign will go directly toward this endowment. Once this founding period concludes, the opportunity to become an original contributing founder of the Naroditsky Memorial and Fellowship will be gone.

The crash is inevitable. History has shown it happens every decade. The current share prices, property prices, inflation rates, etc are just completely unsustainable and are key indicators before most crashes. Most people's guess is sometime next year or at the latest 18 months. Impossible to predict when though. I'm comfortable enough financially at the minute to plan on getting out conpletely by the end of the year and then just wait until it happens. Doesn't matter if I miss out on some gains for 12 months as I've already made more in the last 2 or 3 years than I'd lose out on. Then I have a portfolio prepared to hopefully take advantage of the inevitable lower prices. Mostly ETFs and ISAs. Of course you can just leave your money in long term and it'll all recover again eventually. But the rich generally get richer using recessions, and more millionaires are made after crashes than any other time.

Is it gonna bring all the boys to the yard though?
-
Wait until the big crash within the next 18 months then buy BME. Staples always perform well even in a hard recessions.

Unfortunately for some cultures, religious war is a way of life.

Bumping this as I just finished S2 of Solo Levelling. Shame there won't be a 3rd season til probably 2028. But apparently there might be a movie out next year. I remember getting into anime/Manga in my youth with Akira. Then proceeded to watch Fist Of The North Star which is still my favourite. Did anyone ever watch a TV series called Dominion Tank Police? That was fun too and had a brilliant theme tune. Having just searched for that it was apparently remade in the early 90s (with a crap theme tune).
-
I've been watching Solo Levelling. A Korean anime about a terrible low ranked "hunter" who can level up his fighting skills in the wake of magical gates appearing all over the world full of beasts and demons. It takes a few episodes to get into it, and it's very much like a video game but entertaining nonetheless. It's supposed to be one of the most popular anime around at the minute.

I guess it's bound to drop as they invest more and more cash into it (and therefore post bigger losses) to get the mine fully operational.

I've never heard of him. When I saw the name I thought they meant the bloke from Steps!
-
Surprised to see Susie Dent agree to do it. She must be a fan of the show. I'd much rather see Rachel Riley do it. At the same time as Carol Vorderman would be epic.

Everything seems to have suddenly dropped a good 5% today, even the big companies.

I watched Rushmore again a few weeks ago just to see how it holds up. Still a decent film but jeez the main character is an annoying little shit!

I thought PS was alright and better than his last few efforts. Could just have been whatever mood I was in when watching it though.

Very. His tyres were already 35 laps old when they called him in, and he had another 10+ laps to go. Can't remember the exact laps but his tyres would have fallen off the cliff and possibly lost 2nd as well.

I always thought he looks like T. J. Miller.
